Came in around 10:45 AM on a Sunday morning. Figured it would be pretty busy and would have to wait for a little bit to get seated. When we got there, it was fairly busy, but there where about 7 empty tables. Seeing that, I gave them my name and asked how long the wait is. They told me 20-30 mins. Wait, what?! 30 mins wait and you have 7 empty tables?! So, I decided to wait and see how long it would actually take. Well, after 15 mins, we got seated at one of the tables that was empty when we first arrived. Wow! Service was pretty quick, but didn't get any refills. Food was service was pretty fast. As for the food: - Loaded Tater tots - These came out fast and hot. Aside from the tots being burnt, there were pretty yummy. - Slow-cooked Pot Roast - Roast was a bit dry and the potatoes has a spur taste to them. Portion was a bit small than other locations. - Bacon Gouda Burger - Aside from parts of the patty being well done (burnt) this was actually pretty flavorful. Overall, this is not a bad Denny's. I've been to some pretty and ones. Service is decently fast, just depends on if they are busy or not. Food is okay, for a diner restaurant. read more

Not typically one to write a bad review, but the customer service here is the worst I've experienced. From the beginning the manger spoke to my party and I in a very bad tone. When we requested a table for 9 he automatically shut us down and in a very rude way. We sat and waited for a waiter for a very long time. We finally decided to leave after being treated horribly and even the employees apologized on his behalf. Like come on if your employees have to apologize for you, you should at least get the hint to do better. If you don't want your day ruined, don't go there. read more

Gave me a water with a fly on it. Asked for an extra plate and got a plate with food stains and still sticky. Servers pick up trash on floor, uses dirty rag to clean tables and then turns around and grabs food from the kitchen and serves it to customers without washing hands.. I really hope they get inspected by the food inspectors. read more

Omg! Chrystal was by far the best server I've dealt with. I came in at noon with my son and right away she made me feel so comfortable. She was extremely friendly with my son and even gave him extra crayons since he unfortunately broke his. I just want to let whoever the manager or boss of them is that these two individuals are an asset to your establishment they're amazing hard dedicated workers not to mention the food was excellent all around we felt like we were at home we felt so welcomed by Andrew and Julian and the rest of the staff . When she brought our drinks I didn't get a straw so I asked her for one and she looked bothered . I saw her approaching with our food and she slammed it on our table . My party and I it just the four of us. We came in at 10:40 something and we sat the our seating area is a bit small. Melvis our server was nice to us got us our drinks, then we ordered.When we get our food it was delicious, the burger my brother got was amazing, our eggs were just right. Everything was fine. Then my grandfather ask a server Jose for some pico de gallo, then Jose proceeded to tell him he'll tell our server Melvis. 15 or 20 minutes he didn't get it, then Melvis came by and we asked for the pico de gallo again, and we got it. Wow, this is the cleanest, nicest and best decorated Denny's I have ever seen. Salvador gave outstanding service and was patient with my specific low calorie vegetarian Grand Slam selections. The Heart 9 Grain Pancakes were the most delicious pancakes I have ever tasted AND I ate them without syrup or butter (they were perfect as-is). 5+ stars! We placed an online order. Pick up time 8:37 pm. We got there at 8:44pm asked the floor manager about my online order . She checked my order and they didn't even have it ready or in their system.Luckily I had my email confirmation.Well in the end she placed my order n said it Should b ready in the next 7 minutes. Me and my boyfriend use to go to the Denny's on Inglewood Ave and Rosecrans but stopped going once we got the worst service ever. I must say this location on El Segundo definitely changed my perception. First of all the staff is is really nice and attentive except for a few which is acceptable. I don't like to come to Denny's unless Jose is waiting on us. He is absolutely amazing. He goes above and beyond for everyone. Me and my boyfriend went to Denny's this morning and time we walked in Jose saw us and instantly stopped what he was doing and sat us. He has a good memory because he brought out our coffees and water without asking. Jose is definitely a gem at Denny's. I hate to share that with the yelpers because I want him all to myself but he deserves it lol. Thank you Jose, you're the best!!! P.s the food is good too. Went here for lunch today (4/3/14). #1: The American Flag that was hanging outside the Venue was upside down, we informed them twice about this disrespect before they bothered to change it. #2. Service was HORRIBLE! Waited almost 15 minutes before the waitress came by, and then couldnt understand a word she was saying #3: We just ordered a simple Breakfast, took them 30minutes to bring us our food, and it wasnt cooked the way we ordered it! I walked into this Denny's with my mother and sister and we were immediately greeted. We were shown our seats and a waiter came quickly over to our table to ask us if we wanted anything to drink while looking at the menu. Our waiter was ready and waiting on us when we were ready to order our food and he took our order with a smile while explaining different options of food to us. I happen to want dessert on this trip so I order that with my entrée. After about five minutes I realized I wanted to eat my dessert first and notified my waiter. He immediately went to the chef/cooking area and have them prepare my dessert. Within a matter of minutes my cookies and cream Sunday was brought to me. It looked delicious and as I took my first scoop I found it it tasted just as good as it looked. When our food came it looked just like you did on the menu and smelled delicious. I ate my food and really enjoyed the taste and flavor. I mean it's Denny's so I knew it wouldn't be the same taste as a establishment like Mastro's or Fogo de Chao, but for what it was it was great. When we were all done eating we requested the check and payment with me very easy for us. We all left happy because of the service, great food, and overall great time we had at this Denny's. We came here to grab a semi quick bite to eat but that didn't happen. First the waitress took forever to greet us and when she did we were beyond ready to order. So the drinks came along with the appetizer and our food (I thought appetizers were before the meal). The manager helped bringing our food and dropped my order right in front of our table, shattered the plate and food went everywhere. So she said she would bring a replacement right away but at this point I was frustrated because I was hungry! They bring the food out about 10 minutes later, I go in to take a bite and low and behold the chicken was still cold. I lost my appetite by this point and told them I didn't want it anymore. Thankfully my friend shared her food with me. Typical Denny's food, but I'm really not complaining about the food. I ordered a Country Fried Steak Dinner with potato & vegi. My husband had a cheese burger & fries. I was disappointed that the steak skillet I had on my prior visit was no longer on the menu. My big grievance was our server. A latina woman about 30 or so, I have since forgotton her name. She was not warm, friendly or attentive. She was snippety, no smile and a little abrasive. Our meal was hot and came out within 10 minutes of ordering which was good. My boyfriend and I came here on 10/27/18 after a Halloween party. Let me start off by saying that our server, Connie, was the best. She seemed to be one of the few, if not the only, server there that night (it was around 2am) but still, there were quiet a few tables. The food came out fast and great. There was a chocolate peanut butter shake that my boyfriend didn't quite like as it was too chocolately and wasn't balanced out with enough PB like the other Denny's we've been to so he decided to order the Oreo one I got. She seemed a little hesitant at first I think? I'm not 100% but it didnt really matter to us we understood it was a busy 2am.
