Horrible service! My husband and kiddos went in on a Saturday morning after the morning rush there was hardly anyone in there however it took about 20 minutes to be seated. We were seated way in the back I am assuming because we had kids. Some other ladies were seated across from us. They got drinks and met the waiter. We sat there at our table for another 20 minutes we still had no drinks or even knew who for sure our waiter was going to be. We got up and left because our kids were crying that they were hungry and thirsty. I'm a trucker so I usually use my 10% off coupon, this is the first Denny's that wouldn't accept it because it was a to-go order which I've used it for that reason before without question. First one out of 7 different Denny's along the west coast. The sad thing is this is my home town Denny's. Hermiston Denny's is by far better than this one. read more

Been on the road for hours decided to rest KENNEWICK cause I was tired and the person that was with me was really hungry so I went and ordered food around 1230 am my order was in, I was supposed to pick it up at 1245 /0100. went there waited checked with someone told me it would take about 30 minute cause they were a little back up I said it was fine then after about 1 hour waiting no one ever said anything or checked why I was waiting there for so long I decided to ask again then they come back tell me they can't find my order or something so I had to wait and extra 30 minute adding up 1 hour and 30 minutes to get the foody finally getting my food at around 0200, was really hungry and still looking forward to eat little did I know I mean I know it's not five star restaurant or anything and I respect those who work in the food industry a lot but I wasn't expecting it to be like l that. The steak was way overcook for a medium rare sirloin, rice undercooked, Mac and cheese terrible, the only thing that was good was the fries I guess. but anyways the point is if you passing by and want something to eat that's decent or some good waiting time you probably should try Taco Bell or some other fast food at least you would know what to expect. read more

This is an apology letter to the server at Denny's. I'm sorry my children and I came in and disturbed your gossip time. We didn't know that 2 PM is the time when you and the cook and other server get together to talk down about the manager and the patrons. I'm sorry we expected our drinks to be served. I'm sorry my children wanted their food to be served hot and edible rather than at room temperature with congealed cheese sauce on the nachos, which lacked any of the other toppings they were supposed to have. I'm sorry I tipped you two cents, but see, I think tips should be based on service, and you did not provide a penny's worth. I'm sorry we even drove in to the Denny's parking lot. I stop in here once or twice a year when I'm on the road driving through. The food is decent and they have a lounge, I like the lounge at this Denny's, it's old timers and just regular folks hanging out here. The ladies who work this lounge are really nice and the service is fast. I would come back just for the nice service in their lounge. read more

The food I ate was actually very good. I am on a diet, and thought their selections were much better than in the past when I've visited there. I moved nearby this Denny's and checked out the lounge for the first time. I have since become a regular. The staff at this location is very friendly and accommodating. Nellie is one of my favorite but honestly I always have a pleasant experience here with all of the staff. This location has an ITunes music box in the lounge that allows you to put your own music on. Not sure why this hasn't gotten more stars, we had a delightful breakfast best service and the place is clean. The kids menus is expensive with lots of kid friendly options and very affordable. So we went here to eat today and got there around 8:50pm and we were seated and asked for our drinks, and it wasn't till more than half an hour later that our server finally came and asked for our order ( even after my dad told her we were ready when she then said give me a second to then come back 10 min later to finally get our order, didn't get our food till 10pm). And throughout this whole time she attended three other tables, two of which got there food before us even though we got there first. After her and another server giving attitude and being rude we went to get our checks at the front because she still hadn't come, well she just through them at the front desk and left. Worst Denny's location ever which sucks since it's the one I live closest to. Service isn't too bad, but they've had a lot of problems recently, even with other customers I've noticed whenever I go. Some nice waitresses there, but they take forever to serve you, sometimes forget orders, and the pancake puppies are always burnt. They took away the strawberry ones too. Sometimes I'll crave their wings and cheeseburger so I'll come here for that. Other than that, they continue to remove various menu items to the point where breakfast (what they're known for) isn't something to look forward to. Best breakfast! Only this location!!!! We usually sit in the lounge where it's quiet. Omlettes and pancakes are all good; the trick is to order cheddar cheese (swiss and others are processed, but they use real grated cheddar cheese for the Omlettes, so be sure to get the right cheese it makes all the difference!)! Walked into this place and just smelled the denture glue and processed sugar touch my nose and knew, this was the place I THOUGHT I wanted to eat. This wonderful lady, Barbra I think, seated us and we then proceeded to wait about a fortnite to know who our waiter was or to even get a drink. I was hankering for some coffee I tell ya. I went to eat breakfeast over at this Denny's in the morning and I saw a cockroach crawl on the seat and on to the table. When the waitress came back I told her and she seen it as well. She moved us to another table and then they still had people sit where the cockroach was. It was disgusting and they didn't even bother checking the area to get rid of the cockroach and still had people sit there. I wouldn't recommend eating here. read more

Came in for breakfast a couple weeks ago and ordered eggs, hash and bacon with a small side of French toast. My eggs were cold and had other bits of food from other orders due to not properly cleaning the utensils for my eggs. And my French toast seemed as if they forgot about it and turned the pan on high threw on a piece flipped it and instantly put it on a plate. The edges were black and When I put syrup on it the middle instantly caved in and turned to mush. They sat us at dirty table that we wiped off with our napkins. And to top it off I used a sugar packet and noticed a clear moth looking bug in the bottom of the dish.....it was gross. We gave the dish to the waitress and she agreed that is was disgusting. We went back today to try again just in case it was just the breakfast cook but also the table was dirty the waitress was lazy and we didn't stay for the food. No thanks read more

Food was decent and our server was nice but the service tonight was VERY slow (and no reason for that because there weren't a lot of people present). We almost left after sitting down because it took so long just to get our drinks (probably at least a 10 minute wait). When the food finally arrived it was cold and the portions were disappointingly small. This Denny's is usually pretty good but this time was not the best. :( read more

We went to Denny's last night and were reminded why we haven't gone in years. The server brought us the wrong drinks and couldn't remember who ordered what. It took over 15 minutes of her ignoring us, trying to get her attention to place our order. My boyfriend had an appointment he could not be late for, so I had to call out to her to place his order rushed and to go, so he could eat. His $10 nachos were literally two handfuls of stale, tasteless chips with some cheese sauce and chopped veggies. It took over half an hour for the rest of our food to be served and all the children's entrees and sides were jumbled up. The food was bland and horribly small for the prices. My daughter could barely finish her half cup scoop of boxed mashed potatoes with the tablespoon of cold gravy provided. My friend ordered cheesy fries with the siracha burger, and when her plate came with plain fries, she asked to speak to the manager. The server ignored her and told her it was ok, she took her plate back to the kitchen and returned with cold food, topped with warm cheesy sauce, cold shredded cheese and bacon. The fries at this point were so cold that the shredded cheese didn't even melt with the sauce. My food was fine, I had the cali club and although the avacado was mangled and almost guacamole, it had good flavor. I ended up giving my sandwich to my children because they were still hungry after their meals. When the server brought the check my friend had her mouthful but tried to get the server to wait because she wanted to ask AGAIN to speak to the manager. The server just spun around and ran away. The manager ended up comping the entire meal (which is why they get one star) after hearing our entire experience. It wasn't her fault that the service sucked and the food was worse. As we were leaving the building, my boyfriend called me from a bathroom down the street because he had explosive diarrhea and needed me to bring him new pants. He missed his appointment and suffered a stomachache for the rest of last night. My friend also had explosive diarrhea, and the only thing they had that was the same was the cheese sauce. Today was a bad experience here. My food was great but the service was HORRIBLE! Very disappoint.

On my drive home from Portland I decided to stop here for lunch. When I walked in, all the tables, floors, etc. were very clean and the staff was quick to seat my group at a nice booth. Unfortunately, when my group got our food, we ran into several issues. One of these issues, there was lettuce and other food on my plate of pancakes but our server happily replaced the pancakes with fresh ones. Another issue, someone in my group got over-cooked eggs. My husband and I have been monthly regulars to this Denny's for 2 years, we have enjoyed all of our visits except for the 2 times that we had a particular server. The first time we had her, we ordered the nachos as an appetizer my husband had the skillet steak and chicken meal and I had the Midwest breakfast. (We were one of the only tables there) Our nachos came to us cold and not even 3 minutes later she brought our food to us and it looked as if it had been sitting in the window for awhile. His skillet was dry and no tortillas came out with it. As for mine, the grits were very dry and looked like they added extra butter to them to make them look good and the biscuits and gravy had a layer of crust over the top as if the time in the window cooked it more. She ignored us and gave us attitude like we were interrupting her time. Tonight we had her again; I said lets give her another try, maybe she was just having a bad day. BUT, my coffee wasn't even lukewarm, I asked her for a fresh cup and she rolled her eyes and said that she go brew a fresh pot and she did. We ordered the nachos again but waited 10 minutes to order our main dishes giving her time to put it in. We waited about a half hour for the nachos. Again the nachos came out and they didn't look right, like they were just thrown together and just a couple minutes later our food comes out. She served others of her racial background with no problem but when it came to the people of our background she ignored us and made us wait, our cups empty. We were so upset with our visit that we told the manager and he got all nervous and kept looking at her like he wanted her approval to talk to us. After that we walked out our food untouched.
