Ah Denny's. If IHOP and Waffle House had a baby, Denny's would be it. It's your standard American diner that mainly specializes in "Slams". Slams are basically some sort of breakfast entrée along with sides such as bacon, sausage, etc. You can create your own or choose one of their premade options. Of course there's also standard lunch/dinner options including sandwiches, burgers, and steaks to name a few. It's good ole fashioned American food and doesn't try to be anything else. I only give it three stars because the service can be kind of bad (not at this particular location) in that the servers can come off as uncaring and may forget they even have customers to feed. Also, the wait time at this location was a ridiculous 30 minutes and there were even empty tables/booths. Granted it was 12 in the morning and they may have been understaffed. Oh well. Cheap, somewhat delicious, and you will probably have to use the toilet afterwards. God bless Denny's. read more

Horrible!!! I wish I could give it zero stars but yelp won't let me. When we walked in we were given coffee. The whole cup had disgusting dried coffee on the edges. When our waitress came to take our order, she was very rude. My daughter ordered the chocolate chip pancakes. It came with a sausage which she didn't want. We were told that we couldn't replace it with hash browns. My husband asked if we could pay extra and the waitress gave a nasty reply of "Ok." Then my husband ordered the Grand Slam. He just asked to replace the sausage with a biscuit. Then our waitress made him say everything he wanted. I ordered a blueberry pancake. An hour later at about 11 our food came. Just horrible!!! My husband took the butter off his grand slam pancake and it had a hole in it from the butter. My pancake looked like what my sister would feed her 1 year old. Disgusting. Then my husband ordered an unsweetened tea. Then when it arrived 5 minutes later, it was sweetened. We called our waitress over and told her that it was sweetened. The she blamed it on someone else because the labels were "mixed up." Horrible!! Never again!! read more

So stooped in here for breakfast while on vacation to Florida. So our waitress was having a couple of rough tables when we sat down so she told us it would be a bit till she could take our order. But once she got over rough tables the service was great! I will say management here needs to get it together a man which appeared to be the manager was walking around cleaning instead of helping overwhelmed waitresses. Our waitress really made up for the issues she was having with the other tables! Even offering us some coffee to go which I thought was great! Also the gentleman making characters out of balloons was great my daughter loved the Minnie Mouse! read more

Waited 10 mins to be sat. Then another 10 for the server to quit talking to a cook who was hanging out in a booth. Then the food came, had to ask for refill. Even though my glass was empty no ice no drink. Then had to ask for each individual item we needed. Napkins straw syrup. Then waiting 15 min..15 to pay. 3 tables total in the place. I've never been to Denny's before and I will never return to this Denny's in Kissimmee. We were sat rather quickly but the waitress walked passed us 5 times within the first 20 minutes without stopping by our table. No drinks, nothing, not even an I'll be right with you. NOTHING! After the waitress walked passed us the 5th time she quickly walked by us and said something in Spanish. Which I am assuming was I'll be right with you. By this time I was starving and angry and got up and left. Absolutely horrible. read more

Good place. I was on my way home from a family vacation and decided to eat breakfast there before our long ride to Jersey. Went there prior while on vacation but the service was basic( Did her job but that's it and not very friendly) with the waitress we had. My mom ordered a cobb salad with prime rib but when she ordered it the waitress said, "With the prime rib right?" The way she made it sound it seemed part of the dish normally. I'm a waiter for a fine dining restaurant in Manhattan so I understand the need to upsell but it needs to be done correctly. For example Say would you like to ADD the keyword being ADD whatever protein they offer in addition to the normal plate. It was not just the waitress fault my mom should have noticed it too but like I said it sounded like it came with it? It may help her check but does not create much goodwill towards the restaurant. Ask yourself is it worth an extra $4 added to the check for a guest to be so upset they may not comeback. Fortunately we decided to give it a 2nd chance and now back to the beginning of the review. Jeri our waitress was friendly, funny and attentive ( While being busy). The complete opposite of our first visit. The food was so much better this time too. I assume the cooks were different today because the first time ehhhh. I ordered the eggs (perfect over easy kudos to the cooks) with hash and biscuits with sausage gravy off their $4 value meal this time. It wasn't mind blowing but for the price it was a great value. Walking into an empty Dennys after a long day at Disney at around 11PM - our party of 5 gets placed on the waitlist. There was one other occupied table in the entire place. We get to our table after a few minutes of awkward shuffling around the entrance and there is an unidentified chunk of of brown junk smeared on both the fork and napkin. I was hoping this was an accident, someone at another table wiping something on the napkin because I couldn't understand in any world how a staff member would place that napkin and fork down on a clean table. We inform them, they give us a new set. From there on, everything was a wreck. From what I remember three out of the four entrees we ordered were messed up, they didn't have any seltzer or club soda, and the list goes on and on. I don't know if it was only because it was late at night (but really, you are a few minutes away from Disney get it together!) I have been to other Dennys locations that are far better. Perkins next door was AMAZING. From the service to the food. Unless the entire place had a revamp since March 2016, stay away. read more

I have the same problem that I've been having every time I done at Denny--extremely slow service. I stood at door for almost 10 minutes and they didn't acknowledge me. The restaurant were busy at all but I think they were extremely understaffed. If you don't mind the low quality of service, they do have yummy comfort food. However, if you are starving and wants food asap, go somewhere else. read more

If i can write a half star review i would. My family dropped by at this place for some take out dinner. It was past 11pm and we were so exhausted, ordered our meals and waited almost 50mins for party of 8. When the front desk woman handed the bags of meal we assumed everything weve ordered is already there. Lo and behold upon arriving our hotel, we found out that 1 meal was missing. We phoned right away to be annoyingly waiting for a very busy line. It wasnt that busy nite at the resto when we left. By the time someone answered the fone we told him abt the incident (they even forgot to give us our receipt) told us pointblank on the fone thay they cant do nothing! I was so pissed. It was a little relief to have all the food for the kids otherwise it'll be riot. I will never reccommend this restaurant ever! BTW, their chicken nuggets for the kid is sooo dry and looks old stock. Never had Denny's before being that I'm from NY. I enjoyed the food a lot. The food came out fast and for the cost it was a great breakfast great surprise. The coffee was the best diner coffee I've ever had. I actually bought some to bring back to my hotel. The best bang for your buck when your talking breakfast. read more

Went there for late breakfast today. Kind of excited cuz it was going to be my family and my first time there. The family we were with had raved about the breakfast so Denny's was it. Unfortunately, we waited for an hour! At first, we were told that the wait would be only 30 mins. When we asked what was going on after 35 minutes the hostess said that although there were plenty of open tables (tables were open all over the restaurant) we wouldn't be seated for another 15 minutes or so. At the 15 minutes point the waitress said there would be another delay. She said they were short staffed in the kitchen area and seating us would do anything except give us an even longer time to wait. Strangely though, other families were being seated even though they came in after us. At that point, we decided to leave to go to IHOP. Great choice as we had a great breakfast and no waiting time. Oh well! Not a great experience and unfortunately no interest in eating at Denny's in the future. read more

Upon my family entering the building I noticed that there was odor in the restaurant. Once I went to the restroom I had to step around puddles of urine on the floor. You know you're in a bad place when you don't feel safe to wash your hands in the sink. I reentered the lobby and noticed numerous cigarette butts on the floor.I was telling myself I should leave but at the time the manager was calling us for our table. While he was showing my family to our seats he argued with another customer. We put the stroller in position beside the table he then rudely told us " THIS CANT STAY HERE". Moving The stroller would not have been a problem if he would have use proper customer service. Need not to be said but they lost our business. read more

Visited this place and service was horrible. Manager immediately told us it would be a few minutes til we were seated because she was short staffed. The place was 80% empty. After ten minutes we were seated, waited 15 minutes before a waitress came and took our order - she also said how short staffed they were. It took another 20 minutes to get our drinks, which wAs 7 waters and a soda (again the waitress had another excuse - the bus boy had to refill ice machine.) it took almost an hour for our food- and we noticed that 5 other tables who arrived after us (being serviced by 2 other wait staff) had gotten their meals. Ours finally arrives (the meals were all simple meals) and the waitress explains that she has to go and get the las dish, a Caesar salad - but before leaving asks "what kind of dressing for the Caesar salad." I then watched her make a "Caesar" salad - with lettuce pieces that were very large, unpeeled carrots (approximately 3" pieces), thick, unpeeled cucumbers. Not only was the service terrible, the excuses were plenty, and there were plenty of staff to make us believe that the management just did not care. It reinforces why we don't routinely patronize Denny's. read more
