The only reason this is getting one star is because of the waitress Claudia. The rating for this place deserves 0 stars because of that rude cashier/host Kim. I am writing this on behalf of my dear aunt. My family came in today to get a meal after my cousins doctor's appointment. The waitress was amazing and so kind. At the end of their visit they wanted to order a burger and fries to go, unfortunately the waitress forgot but not a huge deal. They had to leave due to having to go pick up her son from school, the burger and fries was not on the bill. This cashier told my aunt "they must add the burger and fries to the bill". It was not on there and not being prepared so why would it need to be added? Never in my life have I ever heard of such a rule? Once the waitress caught wind of it she told the cashier that she accidentally forgot and to take it off the bill. That must've definitely upset her. After that my aunt used a coupon and that upset her more. Not sure why it's such a big deal to do your job? In the end once my aunt paid and all was done she rudely set the receipt on the table and turned and walked away. So incredibly rude and for absolutely no justified reason. I can understand this is just a Denny's but cmon. My aunt is absolutely never one to complain or make something out of nothing but this is unacceptable for any place. Saturday, May 18, 2024, at approximately 12:00 p.m. meter. to 1:00 a.m. m. We visited Dennys restaurant for a late dinner. The first red flag that both my wife and I ignored was seeing Dennys employees smoking marijuana outside the store's door (we later realized it was the cook). Already identified as the cook on duty, he returned to his work, due to the speed with which he began to cook, it is easy to guess that he did not wash his hands, and if he did, he did not comply with the time. protocol. My wife and I ordered what we hoped would be a good dinner. She ordered a French slam, which was presented to us with charred bacon and old, overcooked sausages. I ordered an Alaska Salmon with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Mashed potato was so liquid it looked like sauce, I presented my friend to the waitress, Jennifer H; and he offered to exchange it for me, I accepted it, big mistake! The rice was overcooked and what made me most nauseous was that it tasted like marijuana!! Which confirmed to me that indeed, the cook did not wash his hands after smoking at the main entrance of the restaurant. As a result of our dissatisfaction, the cook and the waitress gave us a bad attitude for not accepting such unpleasant foods and eating them without complaining. Larry was the most attentive and kind server. As a frequent customer of Dennys, this was the best visit we have ever had. WORST DENNYS DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION Not only was our food cooked in oil that was very old, it tasted burnt and salty. The mashed potatoes were so runny, It was as if I was eating soup and seemed just like boxed potatoes. The mac & cheese is advertised as baked looks nothing like the photo I'd much rather have box mac & cheese than what it is they serve here. The gentleman who finally greeted us was wearing slide sandals with socks and was also working in the kitchen with those same sandals, not only is it unsanitary, but very unprofessional. I have always gone to the location in national city on Plaza and our food has always been amazing never again will I return to this location I am honestly very unhappy with the food and the service. The health department really does need to visit this location because the ceiling tiles are disgusting and the vents are filled with dust. Not only did I leave my food at the table, I'm out 20 bucks and still needed to cook a meal at home since this was supposed to be dinner. Wooo hooo. A refund would just. read more

My purpose in writing this review is to hopefully prompt Denny's to show up on Yelp when we search "vegan options". They stopped using the Beyond burger patties and now have Dr. Prager's veggie patty. While the Beyond patties mirrored more closely the flavor of a real beef burger, the Prager's patty feels cleaner to eat because less greasy and it has good flavor. The consistency is a smidge mushy, but hey as a vegan, I am willing to compromise texture for something pretty darn close to perfect. I ordered one of the vegan burgers last night via door dash from "Burger Den", which is one of Denny's ghost kitchens. According to Denny's online nutritional info, the brioche bun does not contain dairy nor eggs. After placing my order I called in to ensure everything in my burger was vegan, no mayo, etc. They were very helpful and happy to help. This is key because a lot of times I think vegans avoid dining out because it's such an inconvenience asking for specifications like no mayo. I got to eat something delicious and healthy late at night and didn't feel like a burden to restaurant staff. This is a win! I highly recommend the Denny's vegan burger options. The veggie burger patty is so much healthier than the beyond patties they had this time last year. Delicious vegan option! read more

I hadn't been to a Denny's in quite awhile, probably since the COVID days. I seen a commercial for Denny's on TV and it sounded good so I went I had a Omelette with onions, cheese and Tomato with Hash Browns and some Toast. It was really good and Hot as it should be. The service was also excellent and I enjoyed the whole experience very much. I highly recommend this Denny's.
