My husband and I visited this Dennys on Friday Dec 16 at noonish. We ordered the banana salted caramel pancakes breakfast. Food was good and service was too until we got the bill. After that our server Ruby L. didn't show her face. Dishes were never picked up. And we were wanting more coffee until one of the other servers came to help. Thank you for that young lady. Worst service I've ever had at a Denny's. Ordered a T-bone steak to go. Mind you this is the most expensive item on the menu. Ordered medium well with both sides red skinned potatoes. Was only given 1 order of red skinned potatoes. Was not given the dinner bread. And the steak was cooked rare. Tried calling the store 3 times. Asked for the manager and after 2 minutes was disconnected. Called the next morning and talked to a manager and all I got was a sorry. My wife and I stopped to buy a $50 gift card for a B-Day gift. We were helped by a cashier name LEA AGUILAR who started to charge us for the gift card and proceeded to charge us the amount of $50. LEA AGUILAR advised us that she forgot to add money to the gift card but charged us the $50. At this point we had no gift card and we were out $50. LEA AGUILAR tries to get help from another cashier who was unable to help. LEA AGUILAR and the other cashier ask for assistance from their manager. The manager Guillermo Elizalde, attempts to process another gift card but did not know how to operate the cash register properly and starts saying "my cashier gave you $50, instead of charging you". We show him the receipt and it clearly shows the amount we were charged for the gift card. At this point Elizalde does not know what to do and attempts to solve the issue, but it is apparent the he needs more training as well as LEA AGUILAR. Elizalde advised us that he was going to call Denny's corporate to issue us a refund. While Elizalde is in the office attempting to contact Denny's corporate to complete the refund, LEA AGUILAR is starring and mean mugging us the whole time. LEA AGUILAR suggest that it is our fault that the situation is happening because we decided to purchase the gift card at their location. At this point not only is LEA AGUILAR not properly train to use the cashier, lack of customer service, but she is also blaming a customer for wanting to spend their money at Denny's. Ten minutes have gone by since Elizalde went into the office to contact Denny's corporate to issue us a refund and we ask LEA AGUILAR to check on Elizalde and she gives up attitude and while attempting to check on the status. Elizalde returns shortly and tells us he is going to issue us a refund. Corporate explains to Elizalde how to issue the refund step by step ( imagine a manager not knowing how to issue a refund). Finally Elizalde advices us to insert the card that we payed with to obtain the refund. We insert the card and the register does not recognize the card. Elizalde advices us that they are unable to give us a refund and that we have to call Denny's Corporate. I ask Elizalde isn't that what you said you were going to do inside the office? Elizalde stays quiet and blames corporate for not helping. Elizalde promised us that he would call Denny's Corporate later when he had more time and the refund would be given to us within 2-days. During this whole situation Elizalde dis not apologize or take ownership of the situation. Their customer service( especially LEA AGUILAR) is atrocious and needs to be corrected by the regional manager or Denny's Corporate. We advised Elizalde that we needed the receipt he had taken to save for our records in case the refund was not processed. I hope Denny's does a better job of training their managers and staff. I would have given this Denny's 0 stars, but that it not an option. Terrible experience. I do not understand how LEA AGUILAR is still employed. read more

Let me start with the fact that it took my waitress 20 minutes to bring me a short stack of pancakes, and 25 to bring me a glass of water... This Denny's is conveniently off of the freeway. On the way to, and from my brother in laws' workplace. Most importantly, it's pretty gross here. The walls, chairs, windows, and blinds are stained with food, handprints, etc. They only have one toilet per bathroom... I simply cannot and will not be revisiting this establishment. Came in today for a late lunch. I noticed right away that they got new booths. It gave the place a nice face lift. I always encounter good, attentive service here. They serve good coffee too! I ordered the "Build your own Slam" with scrambled eggs, red potatoes, ham and wheat pancakes. The potatoes were not salty but the ham was overcooked. A bit dry. Everything else was tasty! Our waitress made sure to ask how we were doing throughout the whole meal. I appreciated that. I didn't experience a dirty interior. I ordered the chef's special in order to get a feel for the chef's culinary skills - something to spark their creativity and show what they enjoy eating. I got a T-bone steak covered with carmelized onions and mushrooms, with a side of potatoes, diced bell peppers, cream corn, and garlic bread all cooked to perfection to bring out the Maillard reaction products. Without mentioning that I have a hatred of raw onions, the Hector truly hit the spot with a well- I sure hope management pays them well! Bottom line for this review is that there was a piece of glass in my food. while eating my blueberry pancakes I felt an unusually hard texture, I thought it was going to be something gross like a fingernail, I spit it out and tapped on it and it was a piece of glass. It looked like a piece from one of the water glasses had chipped off. the server responded appropriately and notified staff. The service was good, despite other reviews and the food up to that point was good. They took the pancakes off the bill, I paid for the hashbrowns which were good. Let me start off by saying that I love this Denny's. But just yesterday I had a terrible experience with one of their new servers. Mom and I went to grab a midnight snack and waited for an HOUR to get our food. Our server was nowhere to be found the entire time. Not one other person came to check on us. Then when we ask about our food the server mentions she just got back from break and noticed we hadn't gotten our food yet. Mind you, another table who showed up about 20 minutes after we did, had their food already. We decided to just tell the server to cancel our order by then. Well, come to find out it was put in as a to-go order. I had stopped eating here a while back. I figured things may have changed by now. I bought a burger last week there is no mayonnaise and no ketchup so when I got back to my office I had a plain burger and nothing for my fries. The burger was good. I told my co-worker we decided to go today. So I tell the young lady I just want to check and make sure there's ketchup and things and explain to her what happened at my last visit. What they did do was give me two tubs of ranch I did not ask for. So today my coworker said she wanted Ranch. So I asked young lady for some ranch she charged me $0.96 for it.
