This was one of the worse Denny's I ever been to in my life. The serve never came to check on my table not one time. We needed refill on are drinks. Also, my pancakes didn't come until I was finish eating my breakfast which I was upset because now im full and couldn't eat my pancakes. I never will come back to place again. read more

Short story: 9:30 - Enter restaurant 9:35 - Greeted by Diego 9:38 - 10 minute estimate for food completion of Chicken Sandwich 9:40 - 3 Girls walk in and order 9:50 - Stood up to check on order 9:52 - Girls leave with their completed orders 9:53 - Received apology and offered free drink, told few more minutes 10:18 - Order is ready from kitchen 10:20 - I'm out the door with my Chicken Sandwich I shouldn't be surprised, but I was desperate for a buffalo chicken melt sandwich and decided to swing by at like 9:30pm. I walked in, no one is standing at the front, there was one lady working the tables running to and from the kitchen. Im guessing the manager, Richard I think, was sitting there in front at the bar area (not alcohol bar) just staring at me and talking with the kitchen staff. Waited about 5 minutes before another guy, Diego, pops up and helps me out. I order the sandwich and fries. At 9:38pm he said it shouldn't be more than 10 minutes. Okay cool. Sat there about 15 minutes go by and in those 15 minutes, a group of girls come in and order like 3-4 grand slams or something, and get there order like 10 minutes after ordering. So I stand up and try to ask Diego where my order is. No one looks at me or even asks if I needed anything. They're running around from kitchen to the side to the front to the dining rooms and back. Then at like 9:53, I hear them yelling around "Diego blah blah blah chicken melt blah blah" so I'm wondering if my order even got submitted. Diego comes around and tells me "Your order is almost finish. Sorry. Do you want free drink? I give you free." and I'm a little hangry cause I just got back from a 90 min drive, I'm tired, hungry, and I'm mad that I'm not taken seriously after tipping the guy 20% on a togo order. So I decline the offer cause you're not going to buy my silence with a soda. I should have gotten my order at half off at least. So I sat down. More bossing around of Diego happens. Customers come in and stand around waiting to be greeted and seated. I oddly had to tell them that there was 2 people working and they're all insanely too busy to greet/seat them. If it wasn't for the fact that I paid and tipped beforehand, I would have walked out of here already. Then at like 10:18pm I see the kitchen pop my sandwich up on the "ready to package and bag" counter. So I stand up and walk over to kinda show urgency. Then I'm out the door at 10:20pm. That's nearly an hour, let's say 42 minutes to be fair, for a chicken sandwich with fries. So that's toast the pre-cut bread, throw the pre-fried breaded chicken and pre-cut/pre-fried fries in the fryer, put some pre-cut veggies on the bread, dip the fried chicken in some ready-to-go buffalo sauce, slap a piece of cheese on it, sandwich it, and pour fries in a box.. boom. You tell me what's wrong here. HIRE MORE WORKERS OR A FUNCTIONAL MANAGER PLEASEE!! You lack in the categories of oversight, service, and so much more. Dennys could actually be well known as a good place to eat and be wealthy, considering they're 24/7 365, if it wasn't so notorious for crap service for frozen fast food which causes sketchy people to make a booth, or the bathroom, their shelter for the night. District Managers obviously are getting paid for nothing.. if they even have DMs. Won't be back. read more

Worst Denny's ever! Wish I could give negative stars! When we walked in, we walked past four tables that hadn't even been wiped down and reset. That should have been a sign there... We ordered a sampler with onion rings, boneless hot wings, bacon cheesy tots and mozzarella sticks, a Cali club with extra mayo and pickles, fruit instead of fries, and super bird with extra mayo and pickles. The waitress brought the appetizer and the food all at once. So much for eating the appetizer while waiting on our meal. No sauces brought for the appetizer sampler. Fries instead of fruit, no mayo at all on either sandwich, no avocado on my Cali club and no turkey at all on the super bird! Like WTF?!?! She finally brought the extra mayo and sauces but no marina and no fruit and no avocado. We asked again while she was going to get the avocado and fix the super bird. It took forever just to do that. Still no mayo added to the super bird. Still no fruit or marinara. The super bird tasted like crap. The bacon cheesy tots were more like fried hash brown balls and the wings were over cooked. We had enough and got up to go check out. Cashier asked us how it was. We told her terrible and everything that was wrong. She gave us a $4 discount. Are you kidding me?? So our crappy meal was still $40 for some worthless food and service. She should have gave us 50% off. Will not be back to this dump. Still never saw the fruit or marinara. We would have been better off going to McDonalds. read more

My husband and I just moves to the area and has been out that late from a concert to we decided to stop by and check it out and to be honest I don't know where to beginn. They sat us pretty quick and the drinks server because for ever reason they had a drink server and a food server . The drink server came right away got our drinks no problem. Now the food server I was not fan of. He was either teaching other servers or making their lives hell. I heard insults left and right to his workers.. No one working there seem happy because of it. Also I really dislike how fast he wanted to write down the order and skip me half my order because according to him I wasn't ready even tho I had more questions about my to order . Went home I had food poisoning DO NOT RECCOMEND!!! AVOID!! read more

This place is on the corner of the hood. You have homeless people who hang out front and ask for everything under the sun and get mad when you don't give it to them. The food is so so i definitely wouldn't return back here read more

Came here on a Saturday night, we were a party of 5. Walked in got walked to a table at the corner. Waited.....waited server no wjere to be seen. Went to ask the host if theserver knew we were seated cause we have been waiting for over 20 minutes. She said she'll let them know to come right over. Waited for about another ten minutes and two more parties were seated. It became upsetting to see those parties being approached getting their drink orders when we never saw a server at all. Got up spoke to the manager, explained to the manager whats going on and because of it we were leaving. he tried to "take care of us" but at that point the lack of service already made an impact and even if we would've stayed i would've felt uncomfortable and im sure we wouldve probably only been seen once or so. read more

Omg! This place really sucks. Me and a friend decided to get a bite to eat after work, so we choose Denny's on Long Beach Blvd. We waited 15 minutes to be seated and there was only one server/waiter available for the entire Restaurant. A bum walked in and went from table to table asking for money and no one bother to ask him to leave. Finally after about 20 minutes the waiter comes over and he's sweating all over his face. Uggggghhhh. We did order our food, but we were very very hesitant. To top the night off, after we ate most of our food a cockroach ran across his hand in the booth. I was done! Day before Thanksgiving, we see two women who want a breakfast/dinner...we tell the waitress we are paying for those two women's food. They take their sweet time, and maybe 20 mins later, the waitress let's us know that they are closing the kitchen for 45 mins because they are too busy. Mind you, it's not that busy at all, and her mind is totally changed when we tell her we are paying for the food and tip. This is ridiculous. I would be very weary of the waitress named Jacaranda, she seems perfectly fine letting people go hungry and making up excuses for not serving people that fit a certain mold/type. I was surprised to find that this Denny's was so clean and so well run. The amazing part is that they have gluten-free options that are actually astoundingly good. I had the senior breakfast of egg whites. It come,s if you want, with the gluten-free English muffin. The gluten-free muffin is so good it's nuts. This weekend I went to visit my mother who lives in long beach, and we thought we go to dennys for lunch. I wish we would've went somewhere else! At the entrance there was a homeless man asking for money or food, when we went inside there was about a 10 min wait Cuz I assumed they were busy. nope they were under staffed, finally we sat down and I already knew what I wanted my mother still looked at the menu she took maybe a couple min and she also was ready, the girl who helped us was nice apologized for the wait and got our drinks and order going as fast as she could. I downloaded yelp, for the SOLE PURPOSE of giving this place a bad review. This is the WORST SERVICE I have EVER received at Denny's!!! It took 45 mins to get our order ..eggs and quesadillas, and pancakes. There were no more than 15 people there, and they had their food already. ... two waiters were extremely rude and talking mess in Spanish. And were upset when we went up to the register to ask for syrup that we didn't get with our food! NEVER coming here again. We canceled our ice cream , and the sampler because they took so long. Horrible horrible horrible HORRIBLE service. If I could give them a NEGATIVE 5 I would. If the staff WAS WEARING their name badges like they were supposed to, I would have given their names along with this devastating review. read more

Worse experience ever. I decided to bring my family for breakfast before going to the aquarium. When it was time to pay we all headed to the front to pay when my girl friend forgot her wallet on the booth we were eating at. We quickly ran back and noticed it was gone. A waitress stop at a and told us she had pick it up and taking it to the front, but funny thing she never told anyone she had gone to the back with it. Then she gave it to my girlfriend,that's when we realized the wallet was open and 250$ cash missing. I quickly ask her where's the money and she said I don't know and disappeared. After trying for 10 minutes to talk to the worthless manager he finally decided to stop talking to other people to talk to me. They both refused to collaborated with me so I had to call the cops. I don't like giving bad reviews but it was just bad service. We went late night after the Queen Mary dark harbor event. We got seated right away but it took a really long time for the waiter to take our order. Alex apologized as he was the only waiter working. ??? When we finally got our food most of it was cold. 2 of our friends ordered grilled cheese, the cheese wasn't melted. It was literally bread with cheddar cheese on it. Came here a few times noonish..food was decent. Denny's will always be a Denny's. Server was okay, just completely awkward when she rang us up. She took the card, looked and said "you gonna leave a tip?" Of course I was, but I feel as though you should just hand me the paper to sign and I put it on there. This place doesn't even deserve one star. The vibe was off. Our waitress was emotionless. Not welcoming. I Asked for a medium rare steak. The cook did not get it right. They tried 3 TIMES!! And every time he over cooked it. Or it was an odd grey color. I gave up and just had to tell them I didn't want the steak anymore. How can you not cook it right, 3 times??! And I almost got charged for a steak I never got. I had to talk to the manager. And he was nice enough to not charge me for the whole dinner. But it was a bad experience. The manager with the glasses (I can't remember his name but he has dark hair and a mustache too) is very nice! He makes you feel at home when you dine at this Denny's. I went this past friday. My experience in not having been to this denny's is years. Oscar was an awesome waiter, attended to us very quickly, and we only waited 10-15 min for our food. It came out hot and perfect. When we walked in we didnt even wait 1 min. The only thing i had wrong was the bathroom up keep. We will return to eat here again. read more
