Have been going to this location since the 90s. Only thing I can say is that there's a server named John big old tall guy. Surprisingly good! Exceeded our expectations by far. It has been years since we ate at a Dennys as we don't normally eat at these type of places due to their factory-like processes and their overall lack of quality, but we were in a pinch and very hungry. Service was quick, friendly and overall excellent. The food was prepared perfectly and was quite tasty. This trip to Dennys (at least at this location), has given us a new and better perspective. I come here multiple times a month and always sit in Lisa's section. She is the best. Such a sweetheart. The food is always good! I usually order breakfast food no matter what time of day, so as for the other meals, I can't really say too much. But the French toast Slam is typically my go-to...with a side of hash browns. My boyfriend thinks it's weird because I like to mix my hash browns and eggs together, "fight me," I tell him. Haha just kidding. But if anything isn't made just the way you like it, they're always willing to fix it at this location. The staff is friendly and usually talkative no matter what time of day...or night... or dawn... you come in. But honestly, Lisa is or favorite. We ask for her every time. read more

This Denny's is pretty average. I am able to find some things that I enjoy eating here, so that is a plus. One thing I didn't like however was that they would not take my expired coupon even though it was only a few days off. I have been to other Denny's that have taken expired coupons and many other restaurants will take expired coupons too, so I wasn't pleased with that. The service on the whole wasn't even that good. Still, they are at least always open and offer relatively cheap food, so Denny's is passable as A-OK. read more

This is usually my go to Denny's but after today I'm finding some place else to eat. I have underlying health issues so I haven't gone out much since the whole coronavirus started. I also live alone so I have to go out sometimes to pick up medicine if it can't be delivered right away. Today was one of those days and since I was out I figured I would just pick up some food to take home. I ordered from Denny's for pickup and chose the option of curbside pickup because I cannot go inside right now while I'm looking out for my health. And yes I use the drive-thru at the pharmacy as well. When I got to Denny's I waited for almost 10 minutes for them to bring out my food and finally had to call. They said they weren't doing curbside pickup because the dining room was open. This is absolutely ridiculous. We are still being told to social distance and to still be careful but obviously Denny's doesn't care about the health of their customers. They should be doing both like most restaurants are now. Your customers should be able to choose whether they want to expose themselves and go inside or be safe and pick it up in the car. On top of all this when I got home my food was cold because they took so long and the chicken sandwich I ordered with mushrooms came with like five mushrooms. I paid extra for 5 mushrooms? they also forgot my honey mustard but that's usual because anytime I've ordered from them I'm always missing a sauce.I never complained before because the food was so good and the service was so good I didn't mind. Now it looks like both the food and the service has gone downhill. The woman that finally brought me out my food was extremely rude even after I apologized for the inconvenience. I shouldn't have even had to apologize because if you advertise curbside pickup then there should be curbside pickup. I wish I could give more stars. I am a frequent customers all hours depending on my work schedule. I decided to come in after work with my fiance, mother, father, neices, etc. It was a total of 10 of us. I was seated by the manager, who greeted us with a smile. We felt welcomed. Things seemed hectic , the safe was busy. I forgot our server's name, please forgive me. She said she just came to this location a few weeks ago from another. She was absolutely amazing. Our food although did take 35 minutes. Our server kept us informed , brought the children grapes and goldfish to hold them over. We noticed from sitting almost directly in front of the kitchen at a long table that the cooks seemed lost. We then noticed a gentleman in a blue dress shirt begin to help. One manager was helping the front and another helping the chiefs. I inquired about who he was and was informed he was the General manager Jacob, and the other manager Lisa. I am happy to know their names as they deserve a round of applause! The General Manager Jacob got our food out very fast, had he not have been there I assume we would have waited another 30 minutes. He was cheering his chiefs on and coaching them to his best efforts. Bravo! Our server too deserves a job well done. She was attentive on our drinks, informing us on food and extremely apologetic. Which none of this was her fault. We understood. It is awesome when you see management become one and pull their team together. Lisa sat us, and cashed us out, we saw her taking food to tables, getting drinks, as well and coaching and thanking her staff, she was everywhere. We will definitely be back, even if the wait time is long. Everyone was working very hard to ensure everyone was satisfied. To our server thank you from the large party that sat near the exit door and high chairs! You rock! To management, you made our experience amazing and will be back! I usually visit Denny's at least once a week but my regular place is in Queen Creek. The food there is always good, excellent service and a very clean restaurant. I was in Mesa yesterday with my brother and his wife and we wanted to try the Beyond Burger which they had for free just for this one day. We went to this Denny's in Mesa since we were headed to Prescott so we stopped around noon. The place was a little busy but we got a table right away. It took about 10 minutes to get some service for just the drinks so that should have been a sign! We ordered about 5 minutes later and then came the WAIT! After 40 minutes we decided we must leave since we had an appointment at 2 PM in Prescott. In the interim, no one even came to the table for any updates or to check on us. We had asked another server about our food and she said she would check?? We went to the pay-station to pay for the drinks and they went and got our server (Jennifer) who then told us they were still waiting for the Beyond Burgers. At this point (~ 1:15 PM) the place had less than half the tables with people. We never saw the manager or anyone..... Quite disappointed and I want to warn others since my brother told me they had a few similar episodes there in the past. This restaurant used to be such a lovely breakfast spot. The last 2 or 3 times that we came the energy was very heavy and dark. The woman that seated us never said hello or smiled and the man that served us Had no social skills and was very curt and short with all of his customers. He has a perminent crease between his brows from the scowl he carries continually. Why a restaurant would have someone like this on the floor makes no sense. Went there last Saturday night around 10ish as we were waiting for a delivery truck. Marie was our server and I'm not sure why she even has a job there. She never took my order which was taken by manager on duty love her. My order was 2 eggs with hash browns, requested my eggs over easy w/whites cooked did not happen so sent back to have recooked sent back again and same thing, so by the end I ordered them scrambled and they were burnt. Now mind you not once did our server Marie come over and check on us. Every time she came out from her work station she would over and walk the other direction, WHY does she have a job there? I go to this Dennys every morning and I have a great time. There coffee is great and the food is pretty good also. I would give it a 3 or 4 star for the food, but everyone is so friendly and I have gotten to know the people that work here. Is does get very busy in the mornings,so if you don't like a crowd you might want to try later. I am not sure how it is during lunch or dinner, but it's a great place to meet people if you don't have anyone to eat breakfast with. read more

We came here yesterday, around 4PM and our waitress Mary was running LITERALLY the entire restaurant by herself. She had to seat people, ring up their bills, get take out orders, and handle all of her tables. There was no manager anywhere to be found, nor was there any other employee to be found. And they were busy! We were also informed that there was only one cook. This is truly, truly pathetic. Finally, the manager shows up who, by the way, is a real tool !!! She only came out and helped for literally 10 minutes, and then went right back into her office! She is truly truly pathetic!! A good manager would have been on the floor helping everybody, as much as she possibly could, for as long as she could!! We even asked to speak to the manager, and we were told she was leaving for the day!! Truly truly pathetic!!!! I cannot put in words how pathetic she is. I have NEVER seen such a pathetic manager in my whole entire life!!! This place is run so so poorly, and it's all her fault. I give huge huge props to mary our waitress. She not only was amazing and ran that whole restaurant by herself, but she deserves a promotion and a raise. You guys need to get a new manager in there!!!! Perhaps you could give it to Mary!!!!! First time going to Denny's. Our server was great, the food was great, the place looked nice. Would definitely recommend.

I rarely ever have a bad experience with this Denny's. The waiters are always there to refill your drinks and your food comes out shortly after you order. Occasionally I have gotten greasy food that was not as good as the times before (and after), but that is not common for this location. My favorite waiter is Lisa. She is very friendly and talkative, and she is great at remembering what you regularly order. Overall this is an excellent place to get food, especially if you want a quick bite for a low price. read more

A lot of times their servers don't know things they're supposed to know such as what's on special, substitutions, what comes with what etc...the only servers I will deal with there are the experienced ones that I know are competent and know what they're doing. You can never go wrong with Denny's. Food is always up to par, service is quick and with a smile, and deals they have are hard to beat. SO UPSET! I came into Denny's with a group of friends at night. We ordered the chocolate chip pancakes and berry pancakes. Our waitress brings out the 2 orders of pancakes after a wait of 30 minutes and leaves us to eat. I noticed from taking the first bite of the "berry" pancakes that there was no blueberries and the pancakes had a cinnamon crunch taste to them. I told the waitress that there was no blueberries and she went back to tell them to make me another order. After about another 15 minutes she brings back the pancakes with blueberries in them AND THEY COME BACK RAW. I told the waitress my pancakes were completely undercooked and she took the pancakes back and told them to make another order. She comes back after ANOTHER 15 minutes and bring the blueberries pancakes. By then my friends and I were all done eating their food and the chocolate chip pancakes. I ended up taking the pancakes to go. And yet through all of this we still ended up paying full price for the pancakes we didn't order to begin with. read more

My family & I walk into Denny's. Leah is the hostess who asks me "how many?" I tell her 7 and she puts her face in her hands, says "great!" as she lets out the loudest sigh. I apologize. She sits us down and says "Im not giving you attitude. I was trying to figure out where to seat you, I'm letting you know now that I'm the only one here so you're gonna have to bear with me." She tosses the menus on the table and 2 slide off the table. She walks outside and lights up a cigarette. We are watching her smoke right next to the sign that prohibits smoking near a public entrance. After 10 minutes she walks back in and says "are you ready to order?" We tell her we are still deciding on our food but we'd like to order our drinks. My daughter asks for a milkshake and she says the machine is down for sterilization. She takes our menus and slams them under the hostess podium. The people standing at the register waiting to pay are staring at this point and are completely baffled. Leah must have been having the worst night ever because she didn't have a shred of professionalism or humanity. I wasn't going to sit there with my family and subject us to her continued rudeness. I approached Leah and told her to cancel our drinks because we were leaving since we were obviously making her night worse. She doesn't even look up at me and merely says "mmm hmm" I am confused. Didn't Leah apply for this job? Didn't she read the job description? If not here's a tip for Leah, don't take your anger out on your customers and make them feel like a burden when part of your livelihood relies on their tip. read more

I drove here from Village Inn because their pancake machine was broken. I am glad I decided to take the extra time to drive here, instead of buying it at a mart. The pancakes here tasted much better than IHOP, which I go to on occasion for breakfast foods. I was really surprised. It wasn't unbearably dry where I had to drench it with syrup. It tasted kind of like a fluffy, moist cake. It was really delicious even without any syrup. They also didn't forget to give me syrup, whipped cream, and extra chocolates, unlike IHOP who always forgots something. They were very attentive with packing my togo. The service was friendly too. The waitress was busy helping another customer, but she came to greet me and help me check out with my togo order right away. I detracted a star because it smells strongly like cigarette smoke in the entryway, and the smell kind of lingers inside too. read more

Service could be better but I think they work them too much as the few times we went there (our hotel is right behind it and we got 20% off for staying at the hotel) we seemed to see the same things each time. Order was wrong once, one time our server was doing half the restaurant, one time we were there at 4:30am and our server was the same guy there at 6pm. he said he went home at that morning and was back that afternoon. So they just need a couple more servers I think.
