Poor service waited 1 hour for drinks another hour for orders and 45 minutes for food. During which excuse after excuse of why they wouldn't service us on time. All in all would not recommend going back to that restaurant until they have some new management and some better trained employees. read more

Two different servers,two different times a day. Staff seemed slow and disorganized. It took a half hour just to get a drink. Hardly anyone in there and it took forever to get our food. When we finally did get our order things were missing both times.in my opinion do yourself a favor and go anywhere else! read more

I used to love Denny's above other local breakfast restaurants, but came here recently and was just disappointed. Our waitress was obnoxiously sarcastic and the food was not even worth jack squat. You can tell the food isn't even fresh. I don't go out to eat for frozen or mediocre food, but for fresh foods. I will never come here again. read more

Try to avoid this Denny's between the hours of 2 P.M. and midnight. The crew members on duty during these hours have foul mouths, lethargic work habits, and abhorrently bad attitudes. It's during these shifts that customers sometimes get smart-ass comments from the staff, even from the managers. It's not uncommon at this time of the day and night to see staff members milling about the restaurant's entrance, smoking cigarettes, yacking on their smartphones, and just making general nuisances of themselves. (I've noticed this problem at other Denny's locations too. The chain really ought to do something about this.) The servers here seem to think that a tip is par for the course, no matter what kind of service they provide. Apparently it's among the most egregious of sins for a customer to come in and (gasp!) order nothing but a cup of coffee, that he might enjoy while taking advantage of the place's "free" wi-fi. I've actually never had a problem with the food here: when it does arrive, it's always been hot, fresh, and made to order. And the place is usually pretty clean, at least by Denny's standards, anyway. But I'm sorry: those factors simply can't compensate for the abysmally bad service I've gotten at this location over the many times I've been a guest here. (Yes, I've visited many times; I've given it the benefit of the doubt. But the service never gets any better.) If you must insist on going to this Denny's, try to go between the hours of 12 A.M. and 2 P.M., when the crew members act in a more professional manner. I myself am never going back, at any time of the day or night. I've just been treated too badly too many times by too many of the crew members to even think about setting foot in this place again, even if it's only to use the restroom. read more

Gave this dennys another shot despite my other review thinking things have changed ya right .Minus the hostess looking like she just got of bed ,we got seated table was dirty and wet the seat was duct taped .We sat there for 10 mins and was not acknowledged at all not even for drinks .We got up and left will not go back .Management really needs to train their servers and hostess to have better hygiene and look decent as they work in a food industry. We've lived here 22 years and it's never, ever been remodeled. Nothing was very clean in dining room. Rest room's were very nasty. Both men's and women's. Went here to go eat with my family and two of us got salmonella from eating their tilapia dish. Later the waiter found out the fish was fully cooked and still had raw areas. I wouldn't advise anyone to eat here. Had to wait 10 minutes just to get seated when they clearly saw me at the front. Waffle House could do better. read more

I've eaten at Denny's for many years on Nine mile road and never . ever had one complaint. Sadly I have had a different experience at this location and suggest that you consider finding another establishment to dine at. I'm staying at the LaQuinta next door and prefer to walk to eat so this has really been an inconvenience for me that the service is so horrible. I was experiencing very rude treatment from the AA female server on the evening shift so I took a AA friend of mine to eat with me to see if I was just perceiving something wrong. NOPE, she was just as rude to her as well. I spoke with manager about it who is a very nice guy but he refuses to accept that he has employees who are ruining his reputation and his business. He told me to avoid coming in after 2pm so that I didn't have to deal with her . SERIOUSLY????? So I did start going in just after lunch so I could have a meal before said server came on. Well, that didn't work either . There is one white lady who was nice but without exception every other server has been a nightmare. And now, I have started experiencing diarrhea immediately after every meal so I suspect those disgruntled employees have a bottle of eyedrops back there somewhere. So do yourself a favor. AVOID this Dennys! The one on Nine Mile rd is great though so hop on over there. If this manager had the balls to fire about three black women and two white women and hired friendly and competent staff this restaurant could turn it around. He's weak though. Oh and the floors...are greasy and dangerous! They spray cleaner from a bottle on it and mop it. One day I went into the bathroom and the entire bathroom was sprayed down but nothing wiped. I almost fell several times. Certainly don't take anyone who has trouble walking or uses devices for walking to this establishment. read more

The WORST SERVICE EVER! Arrived at 8:50 still NO food on our table at 9:45. It was not busy at all and other people getting our food that came in after us. We asked to speak to the manager and the waitress said she was in the kitchen helping because the cook called in sick. Probably because he quit.... The waitress said there were 3 tickets ahead of us. Stopped in around 4pm on a Wednesday afternoon with my husband & 2 children on the way home. We live in Pcola btw! From the moment we were seated "by a toothless thin fellow named "Joe ') there seemed to be a problem. We were only 1 of maybe 4 ppl/tables in there. Briefly put,first we all ordered sweet teas (and husband a coffee).We were served unsweet tea,no biggie... was told "last shift didnt sweeten we will just add sugar" so after 10 mins of waiting my husband just went & asked can we please just get fountain drinks? Finally the one & only waitress I see takes our order.Dont remember her name,a big girl,says she"s new.No problem! Been there myself! Husband still waits for his coffee. Not too long of a wait for them to cook but meanwhile while waiting all we could see or hear was the 2 young cooks tossing things to each other goofing off & cussing loudly.Hubby & I kid around that we hope that wasnt our food.Food brought out...this is where the real trouble begins! There was something missing pretty much on every plate.No butter nor syrup for any pancakes...hubby got coffee finally just cannot get creme.Sugar salt & pepper had to be found off neighboring tables.Been there maybe half hour by now & kids & myself are complaining of freezing even in our jackets so were going to try to hurry & eat up! Still waiting on food that was never brought though? Oldest son ordered all you can eat pancakes but was hungry after the first plate but never was offered anymore although I asked repeatedly as he sat there hungry.We were all done,still no refills offered or anything else so at this point hubby is ticked & staring at employees who are just standing by kitchen doing nothing still.I tell him maybe they forgot,calm down.Finally 'Joe" comes back over but only to bring ticket.I noticed immediately kids were charged adult price even for drinks. $15 just for 4 drinks & a small coffee we could not even get a refill on! Needless to say we were not offered any discount when ringing out pissed by this point & made it clear I would NOT be back to this Dennys again!!!! read more
