Roasted veggies were very undercooked and inedible- shouldn't be on the menu. Staff is very helpful and friendly, line to order moves fast but food takes time. Kids play area really helped during the long wait. I wish there were more eggless options to try.

The cashier, the waitress, bussers, the preps in the back all friendly. Oh the complimentary chips, salsa and Jamaica is amazing and delicious! Minus 2 stars because the older Hispanic looking lady with glasses is so rude and shouldn't be working up front with her negative vibes. We were watching how beautiful the kitchen plates their food. And me and my family love to make French toast and enjoyed the Ube French toast more because it's made with cinnamon bread. We were wondering what brand they used. That lady came over to us asking can she help us and asked what we were looking at. Geez lady it's an open kitchen can't we enjoy the view. Since she came over to us my sweet niece asked what brand of bread do they used for their French toast?? Isn't this a compliment?? Shees my family lives in Monterey and are not planning on opening a breakfast spot anytime soon LOL! She was straight rude gatekeeping and walked away with no reply hella rude and embarrassing you treat my niece like that! WTH we spend tons of money there and you can't even reply back kindly or with grace!! Keep that energy in the back or outside the door lady! Is it that serious and to treat your customers like they don't matter when we are the reason you're getting a pay check!! Denica I hope you read this I wonder if the other reviews from customer about the lady upfront is the same one we all are talking about??? To all the other customers who wonder what their delicious bread they use for the Ube French toast it's from a local bakery in alameda SemiFreddis cinnamon twist bread! Lady you should be grateful they are your suppliers and share the love! 2 stars took away only because the lady was rude no smile and messes up the good vibes and experience at Denica's!

This is THE place!!!!! For one- I love the casual ambiance and having to order at the counter. What…read morelooks like a restaurant, is actually just a really nice cafe where you can study, get a quick breakfast, or hang out with your friends for hours over breakfast. The food: is absolutely scrumptious. I had the spinach biscuit sandwich and it was the most delicious breakfast sandwich I've ever had. The flaky biscuit with spinach throughout is so clever. My bf got the breakfast burrito which was loaded with protein and he enjoyed it. He also got the cinnamon toast which I didn't have a chance to try because he finished it so fast. The matcha latte fell short though. I asked how many scoops they used and they said one and a half and my matcha still tasted like oat milk. Not the vibrant green stuff. Service: everyone here is working so hard to clear plates and get you your food as fast as possible. Loved how efficient everyone was! Will def be coming back!

But if you live around or have friends visiting you from out of town, it's a great local place with fresh food and a good setup for brunch. Our orders: Breakfast Sammie with Bacon and overeasy egg ($15.00) -- solid! Turkey Pesto Panini with Green Salad ($17.00) -- not bad! Drip ($3.00) -- I esp appreciated you can self serve and the rotating drip coffees were some solid beans, e.g. chromatic hearts anaerobic varietal House Made Cream Scone Spinach ($4.50) -- good!

This is my 3rd time coming here and I have to say each time I have a better and better experience…read more The staff is amazing very attentive. The orders are always right. The food is cooked to perfection. The presentation is outstanding. They have a wide variety of different plates so no matter what somebody in your group wants there will be something for them. Their signature drinks are to die for this time I had a peachy king and lemon drop. I wanted to order the hoppy hour but it was so popular that they were sold out. I've come during the week and on the weekend. It doesn't matter which time I've come it's been GREAT! Today I came on a Sunday and they actually have a Sunday brunch where they have a live DJ they play music. They have shots going around it's fun and if you're going out with the family like I did today, you can sit in the upper area that's away from everyone else having the brunch fun. It was still fine even though we brought the kids and sat in the upper area. We could still hear the music and enjoy ourselves. I would highly recommend this place. It's a shame that I live so far away in Tracy that I only get to come once in a while because if I lived closer, I would come every weekend.!!! The desserts are so good!!!

-Drinks review only!-…read more Friends and I were looking for a place to have a drink in the afternoon but before dinner and found Beer Baron! They had gone to their original location in Livermore in the past and were surprised to have found it moved. We had very friendly service and excellent cocktails. If you want to get a Boilermaker, they can get it for you (off of HH) - friend asked what types of whiskey they had and our server pulled out a whole BOOK! Cocktails were all tasty and quite complex. We all really enjoyed them: Brat summer, Frose (they only had one slushie ready - and it was boozy!), Peach Don't Kill My Vibe, and She's Gone Green. I like that they only had low ABV cocktails and mocktails, although your choices are limited to 1 in each category if you can't have grapefruit for medical reasons. We were tempted by the food but were still full from brunch - I have a feeling that we'll be back for those Duck Fat fries!
