Okay so last night after a very long day at being at Roseville Toyota for 7 hours (because I bought a new car; never knew it was such a lengthy process), I was exhausted. My head was spinning from a lack of food and water and I had to eat something!! My husband and I originally went to Mimi's Cafe because they said they closed at 11. When we went into Mimi's at 8 minutes before 10 pm, the guy told us they were closing in 8 minutes. We nixed that idea and decided to go to Denny's instead since they are open 24/7. We went in and Denny's resembled an older style Denny's which I liked and and we were seated immediately since there were many available tables. We scanned the menu and my husband ordered the pancake breakfast and I order an English muffin and the triple berry pancakes a la carte. My husband got his food within 10 minutes and I got my English muffin and no triple berry pancakes; the waitress told me it would be a few more minutes for my food to come out. I ate my English muffin and my husband ate his food then we waited and waited for my meal. Twenty minutes passed and I still didn't get my pancakes. The waitress asked me if I wanted something different on the menu and suggested I try the crepes instead. I told her no thank you and that I wanted my berry pancakes. My husband finished his meal and we continued to wait for my pancakes. I finally got my order; it was about 45 minutes after I ordered my meal! I was hungry that I literally scarfed my food down. My husband thought my pancakes would be for free since it took forever for me to get them but no, they still charged us. Funny thing is that the people behind our table leaned in and told us they never received their toast with their meal but they were charged for it anyways. Feeling grumpy and irritated since it was almost midnight at this point, my husband didn't want to tip our waitress because of the slow service and lack of attention. Unfortunately, our waitress rang him up so he gave her a small tip of $2 just to save himself and her the embarrassment of not giving her anything. Each experience, your waitresses have been nothing less than customer oriented. They focus on you during the very first interaction. Sitting on a back street off of the freeway, you'll find this Denny's. By the looks of the regulars, this time of day (11:00am) is most likely the crowd of the "early-risers". So, there was a wait. However, we were seated within minutes. Our waitress was great, and the value menu prices are awesome. Three of us were fed for $18.11. The food was a little iffy, but hey, it's Denny's. I felt a little unsafe eating here just because there's smudges everywhere. It needs some cleaning. My coffee cup tasted salty on the first sip, which makes me think it wasn't as clean as it should have been. This is my new favorite Dennys!! Barbie and her staff that works on her shift make this team the dream team! The hard work! The dedication, the kindness and passion barbie gives and shows to everyone really has them all clicking on all cylinders. I gave this location 1 more try after 10 years!! What dramatic change! I'm extremely happy i did though due to the great vibes and Energy! The food was made extremely well! I couldn't wait to come back! So the following week and i did. Bringing Barbie to this location was the best decision Dennys management made. She worked at other locations and it was always family going here. My son asked to go here all the time cause he loves barbie and how she treats him: so amazingly! We will be coming by a lot more often now that we know how much of a huge turn around this location has made. The staff cleaned the areas perfectly and i felt safe being here. Ive been eating at Denny's somewhat regularly for over a decade. I'm new to this area and this is my first experience at this location. The customer service is terrible. I ordered online and when I showed up they had accidentally given my food to someone else so they had to make it on the spot. Not a huge deal really, except not one person apologized or acknowledged their mistake in any way, which just sours the experience, especially when you leave a tip on a pickup order. Then I get home and the sandwich has no bacon and no maple spice spread. All I taste is cheese because this sandwich has more cheese than any Grandslamwich I've ever eaten, its disgusting. If I just wanted some egg and too much cheese on bread I could have made that in my own kitchen. Gross. Not coming back again. read more

There was a lot wrong with my visit today, but I'm not going to focus on what went wrong, because they were busy and it's Denny's; there will be good days and there will be bad days, that's just what you sign up for when you go there. What I'm going to focus on is how they handled it: The waitress and manager that helped us were great. They were helpful and hardworking and kept a great attitude and kept up on refills. My food came about a minute after my husband already had his and the manager immediately noticed the empty table in front of me from across the room and asked me if I was doing ok. I didn't catch any names, but out waitress was short and pretty, dark hair, MAYBE Mexican- I didn't pay much attention to that. The cook had a HUGE attitude the whole time we were there. I think he thought no one could see him but that's not the case. He was making it so that the waiters had to tell him the orders over and over before they got it, and then getting frustrated that they were bugging him. He even flipped off the waiters that were getting on to him about going too slow. One of the waitresses (maybe joking, I'm not sure) told a waiter loudly, "You need to go get rid of your attitude and you can come back out when it's gone." Orders were coming out wrong and customers were being super rude. In spite of all of this, the waitresses and the manager were working they butts off to keep everyone happy and they were keeping great attitudes. One person complained over and over and the manager made a point to visit them personally to apologize and fix it and visit them afterward to check up on them. I was very impressed with how well they carried their team through a rough lunchtime and covered bases that were not their own. We tipped what we could, but I wish they could get a raise for their service today. :) read more

Came back here because of how great the food was the previous time I came but this restaurant is unprofessional and unsanitary. I ordered coffee and the cup they gave me had cheese on it and coffee stains I could wipe off with my finger. When I asked the server for a different cup because the one I was given was dirty her reply was "Ya it has cheese on it." Then she just walked away with it. I am disgusted by how unprofessional she was at the fact that I was given a DIRTY cup. Why would I want to eat the food when they gave me a disgusting cup. On top of that there was no apologetic attitude or even a sign that she cared. This Denny's has a lack of staff, a lack of care, and a lack of sanitation. Even the second cup she brought me had a coffee stain that I wiped off with my finger! How hard it is to clean a cup?? I can only imagine how poor the sanitation is for the food. read more

I went in on Sunday morning for my free build your own grand slam breakfast. I went early and was seated right away. I was brought some delicious coffee and the menu. Of course I was in for my grand slam so I had eggs , pancakes , sausage and hash browns. The service was very quick and with a smile. Although we are in a pandemic and I understand workers are under a-lot of stress, my cashier was very very rude and its 1am. I simply asked if we could eat inside and in a rude tone he said "does the law say so?" Then proceeded to not listen to me about how I was paying and to keep the change. He also wouldn't let us eat at the patio seating at this 24 hour Denny's, which had a sign that says "Patio Seating Now Open". So we say in our car and he sat and stared at us until we left, which we found VERY creepy. The food is the food you get at Denny's -- so it's not five star for that. But if you were looking for five star, why would you go to Denny's? I give this place 5 stars for it's service. I am now a regular at this Denny's. I'm a novelist and sometimes I just need to get out of the house to work, so I go there a lot of times during the day or around midnight. Usually I am at this location 2-4 hours. I sometimes just order one thing and a drink, but the servers are always quick to get me refills and always very friendly. I don't know how people could say the service is slow. My food usually arrives in less than ten minutes of me ordering it, even when the place is jam packed. I'd say it averages about 5 minutes. The only small issues I have ever had were with some of the male waiters. I think that the girls here are incredible, they are very fast and I never have to wait for anything. The guys could use a little more speed and the only time I've had my order messed up was with them. However, they are still very polite and will make sure that they get the issue fixed. I never was a usual Denny's customer before this location. I was actually hesitant to try it out because I had had bad experiences in other Denny's. I was just desperate to get out of the house at 1am and work and I didn't know where to go. And now I go to this place about 8-16 times a month depending on my deadlines. read more

At the Yelp party we had amazing hosts; tried the saporro, had a slice of hot italian and loved loved loved that there was Orange Cream Soda. (My second favorite soda on the planet or at that point off the planet). I'm a serious Coca-cola fan and well the cream soda held me up through the awesome evening. but by the time the event was over, I wanted to visit with my pal (Lori of Lipstick Lush)and have a soda. So here we are turning heads at the Denny's at O' dark thirty and she's still looking retro lovely and I'm still in my Mrs.Jetson costume... Of course we get some funny stares but that doesn't stop us from having an awesome time back on the mother ship. Nor does that make our server treat us any less. Hell I'd even say that our server was extra interested in conversation. He had great service, was well attentive and kept checking up on us. Our appetizers, and meal and drinks were delivered quicker than lights speed. (After sitting there and visiting I decided that I would try the new Tsing Tsing wings and they were yummy. All in all I'd recommend it. The wings were yummy glazed and topped with Sesame seeds and looked purdy, my sodie was always full and he didn't forget to put in the order of goodies for my hubby. I will now just frequent either McDonald's, where I will pay half the money this place charges, will get just as full, and will be treated like I'm welcomed. This morning, my grits were mostly water, and my sausage and biscuit were barely room temperature.
