I have reviewed this restaurant in the past but none of that matters because this was a different visit which means a different experience. It was late, I wanted a burger but I didn't want McDonald's or Jack in the Box. On my way home I was like Denny's is always open let me see if they still have that Bourbon Burger. I spotted it on the menu and immediately added it to my cart. It felt like forever but when I finally got it I swear for a minute I went to heaven. The golden brioche bun is so inviting and delicious and it definitely gets the party started.. With buns like those you have to check out the rest of the merchandise. Let me just say this burger did not disappoint. Whatever

Kim and Artie are the most wonderful servers here at dennys they are so much fun and so sweet and are so helpful and patient when I bring the kids for food. Love this place !!!

I came twice at the end of last year server's was great. I'm glad they didn't close this location it my favorite location. I see all the negative reviews but every time I come my food is always hot and cooked to my satisfaction. I prefer to asks for the same sever because he always provided me with good customer service. Artie S he always checking on you to see if you needed more coffee are if he could get you anything

It seems like it has been several years since I last patronized this restaurant and wrote a review. But the day finally arrived where I could bring my dad back to one of his favorite eateries for some father / daughter time together. We arrived at a slow time, so we received prompt and extremely friendly service. Darvaye was very sweet and accommodating while taking our orders. I wanted a grilled cheese sandwich & soup from the 55+ selections. But the soup of the day was chicken noodle which I wasn't really fond of, so she was happy to make a change to French fries instead. My dad ordered two eggs over medium, two sausage links and wheat toast. We both ordered root beers to wash it down with. We were very hungry, so our food was just as expected, appetizing and satisfying. Just what we would consistently expect at a Denny's. My dad liked reminiscing when he was a regular and the staff made him feel special like a VIP. I hope we can return soon and see if any long term employees might be working that day just to say hi!

I'm beginning to notice a pattern: these aren't cookie-cutter restaurants. They have personality, a playful spirit, and the feeling that some people actually enjoy creating places where people want to gather and belong. Imagine a classic neighborhood diner that wandered into an arcade, picked up some incredible art, and decided everyone should just be happy. The staff are genuinely welcoming, the portions are generous, the comfort food gives solace, and breakfast lovers can rejoice because it's served all day. Whether you're there for a hearty meal or simply soaking up the atmosphere, Roc & Sol has earned its loyal following for good reason. A special note on Janah and Alicia (pictured), who made our family breakfast feel like more than just a meal. With effortless expertise, warm conversation, and infectious energy, these adrenaline junkies created the kind of experience that keeps people wanting more. They seemed to feed off the positive energy they shared with their guests--and gave even more in return. If Twisted Track Station surprised me by the genius of Crazy Matt, his family, and his people, Roc & Sol convinced me it wasn't a fluke. Sacramento needs more restaurants with this much heart.

I don't jump on every brunch invite, I rarely make brunch plans, but I will when morning fork is involved. The restaurant itself was already VERY loud, with customers talking, laughing, and enjoying themselves. We actually appreciated the atmosphere because, as parents of a toddler, it made us feel more comfortable dining there as a family. Shortly after receiving our food, my toddler became upset and started crying. The OWNER approached my husband and asked him to REMOVE OUR CHILD FROM THE RESTAURANT. My husband, being the respectful person he is, complied and took her outside. At first, I was confused about why he had suddenly left until he called me and explained what the owner had told him. We had JUST received our food. At that point, I asked our server to remove the untouched items from our bill. I made it clear that I was more than willing to pay for anything we had already touched or consumed, but I was not comfortable continuing to give my business to an establishment whose owner had just asked my husband to remove our toddler. The owner then approached me, and I explained how inappropriate and upsetting I found the situation, especially considering how loud the restaurant already was. I could barely hear my own daughter over the overall noise in the restaurant. Her response was that "people were looking at me," which is why she asked my husband to take our daughter OUTSIDE. That response was extremely disappointing. She is a TODDLER. Toddlers sometimes cry. We were not allowing her to run around the restaurant, destroy anything, or behave dangerously. She was simply upset and crying. If noise was truly the issue, then why was our child singled out in an already extremely loud restaurant? What makes the experience even more uncomfortable is that we already felt we were greeted rudely by our first server. I do want to recognize the gentleman who was calling names for the tables. He was very kind and welcoming, and I appreciated his professionalism. As for the owner, I am extremely disappointed that someone who owns a restaurant would treat paying customers and their child this way. Families with young children deserve to know what kind of environment they are walking into. If children, or the normal behavior that occasionally comes with having toddlers are not welcome in your establishment, that should be clearly communicated to customers before they sit down and order food. We will not be returning, and I hope no other family is made to feel as unwelcome and embarrassed as ours was today.

Not only was their regular team there working as hard as they could but other local chefs, bartenders, and friends came to help feed the community one more time. The owner N'Gina gave a beautiful speech and the restaurant started clearing out of regular diners. I stayed to give my thanks and was blown away by the community and love that came through. They were still serving drinks and you could see how much love there was for N'Gina and this amazing business. So many people came through just to say thank you and wish her luck on her future endeavours. I found a spot at the bar and hung out for a couple hours talking to other chefs, business owners, and customers and everyone was not ready to say goodbye to this amazing establishment and the incredible food N'Gina brought to the restaurant. Their team ended up giving me a bowl of their staff dinner- fries, mac and cheese and pulled pork and I was so thankful for one last taste of this amazing restaurant before they closed for good.

I'm such a fan of her food! My boyfriend and I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon about an hour before closing, and to our surprise, the owner herself took our order -- such a treat! I ordered the shrimp po' boy with a side of fried cauliflower, while he got the double patty cheeseburger with mac & cheese. We also tried their house-made lemonade and an Arnold Palmer. Here's how everything rated: * Shrimp Po' Boy: 3.75/5 * Double Cheeseburger: 3.5/5 * Mac & Cheese: 4.5/5 * Fried Cauliflower: 3.5/5 The shrimp had a great crust, and that romesco sauce with the buttery fried cauliflower was seriously addictive. The burger had a nice kick thanks to the hot link tucked inside, and the mac & cheese? So creamy and cheesy--definitely a standout. The lemonade leaned more tart than sweet, and the Arnold Palmer was refreshingly solid. Service was fast, friendly, and efficient. I loved that they kept the classic diner booths, vintage signs, and old-school decor--it all added to the charm, especially with the throwback jams playing in the background. Already planning my return to try the catfish sandwich, honey butter cornbread, and hopefully get my hands on one of their desserts next time--they were all sold out by the time we arrived! So you can tell how popular these items are, yum!

I hadn't been since last summer and was happy to return. Parking can be a bit hectic, but once you're inside, the atmosphere makes up for it. It's a family-owned spot, and you can feel it right away -- everyone is kind, welcoming, and takes the time to check in on you. We came for breakfast, but they also offer lunch and barbecue options, so there's plenty to choose from depending on when you go. They've also expanded and now have a location in Elk Grove. I ordered the French toast plate, which came with thick-cut slices of bread, eggs, and bacon. The French toast was soft on the inside with a nice golden finish, full of flavor without being overly sweet. The eggs were well seasoned, and the bacon was cooked just right. BB ordered the cheeseburger with fries and a side of grits. The burger was juicy with grilled onions and melted cheese, and the fries had that crispy, beer-battered texture. Right away, Mama Goose (the waitress confessed this as her nickname) greeted me with a no nonsense and friendly attitude. This is a person you would hope to greet you, and at the same time you would never want to cross. The interior was very throwback to a time when this diner likely first experienced its hay-day several decades ago. Everything was clean, and the bathroom was so big, it was the size of my first apartment in San Francisco. Water refills were fast, and I ordered an omelette with no meat. I felt welcomed here, just like I was visiting a friend in their home. It is clear that regular patrons keep coming back, and all are remembered by the staff. I highly recommend this experience!

So...a lot of regulars. I pigged out...ordered the chili cheese omelette with a pancake on the side. The omelette was good...not the best I've had, but would not mind returning for it. The breakfast potatoes were near perfect....hot, crispy on the outside and soft on the middle. Just cut down on the seasoning, as the delicious potatoes were a tad salty.
