Came here on a Wednesday night. They had a few big parties enter and clearly weren't ready. Didn't stop the group working that night, these workers got down! Fernando started us off with some drinks that I knocked over accidentally. Then Erica brought out our food super quick! Lastly, everyone was super busy and I'm impatient as hell! Please don't get server DINA she is very rude. Came here this last Sunday 10/15 with my mother in law and daughter. As soon as they sat us down server DINA came to the table demanding to have us order our food and drinks because it was going to take long. We had just sat down didn't even get a chance to look at the menu.Wow! Watch out for this women she has a very nasty attitude. I liked the new locale & the fact that people transferred over from the previous location so I can see familiar faces that I know. HOWEVER..... This review is going to cover from before December 2019 until now. My family and I were sad to see a previous manager left the location previously. We were glad when we saw her at the 805 & E location as we thought she retired or quit. We dined at the old location for many years and personnel there have seen my kids grow up from very little through their teen years. When the new location opened up we decided to give it a try as it is still "Our Denny's" even if it shifted to the new location. We went in to the new location and thought "Not Bad" and we can make this still our dining restaurant. Been going in and eating and when the Christmas holiday came around we decided to go in the Saturday before Christmas and I asked for our usual server Stacie and I told the manager/supervisor "The wait is no problem. We will wait for one of her tables to open." (Since it was the Saturday before Christmas we did our usual "Order anything we want and the server gets a 100% tip and it was Denny's turn this year because we stopped going to other restaurants except Pizza Hut on occasion). The gentleman said OK so we sat down to wait for Stacie. 10-15 minutes later he sat us down at one of the booths to the left of the door when you walk in. I saw Stacie running around everywhere and told the family she will get to us when she can. Then a server named Alexa came to the table and asked about our drinks so thinking maybe she was helping Stacie we gave our drink order. 15 minutes later she brought them and asked if we were ready to order. I asked her if this was her section or Stacie's and she stated it was hers. I was upset inside but decided to order anyways. I told the family we will give this new person a chance. Well, as can be seen by this review it was not good. I had to constantly ask for refills and food was partially warm. Service was bad and I wanted to only leave 5% or 10% tip on the table but the wife hounded me to leave 20% and change. The server definitely did not earn 100% tip. The manager/supervisor gentleman lied about who my server would be. Now for other issues which bring this to 1 star (unfortunately can't give 1/2 or 0 stars). Went in on different days and servers either ask if you want something and then do not tell you that was extra or they keep hounding you over and over and over again for extras even though you tell them from the first order "Standard meals no extras on anything". So far, Saturday was the best day to dine in imho (before this covid business came out) and Sunday was the worst and Monday the second worst. However, Sunday has been the best for take out with Saturday being the second worst and Monday the worst. I went in last Monday and told them about a problem on a Saturday and the manager I assume the woman was the manager) gave a generic apology. I ordered our usual meals: 2 Superbirds with fries, Sirloin Steak meal with all fries, and the "Premium" Chicken (tenders or strips whatever it is called) with all fries. I picked up the food and idiot me did not check to see if it was right. The steak had no juice and it was dry for the daughter, the "Premium" Chicken had no dipping sauces and none of those two had all fries (or as they call it double fries since two sides come with it). My Superbirds had more fries. On top of that they had fruit cup for those orders and only the steak had the fruit cup. Nothing for the chicken. We also are concerned for our server so I asked how she was doing and gave info with my kids name and my name and our phone number and asked the girl )manager???) to give her a message and contact us and let us know how her family is. Probably did not give her the message but that is not dropping this review. The bad service dining in on those other days, the manager/supervisor putting us in Alexa's section and not Stacie's as he claimed he was going to do on the Saturday before Christmas 2019, and the very poor take out experiences during this covid-19 time with non-crowded take outs is what makes me give 1 star. However, over the next three days I will chance Denny's one more time Sat, Sun, or Mon and see if they improve on my usual take out orders. Better experience will have me change this to 2 star. I will also ask the different manager if they will give a message to our server or not. Better experience and food correct will bump this up to two stars and might warrant a possible next time order(s) to see if they can get to 3 stars. I went in again for take the next day on the 25th and I have to say my faith in Denny's is getting better thanks to the Saturday crew. Steak was better than the prior non-Saturday meal. Only had to ask for the marinara sauce for the chicken strips. Both sandwiches were good too. read more

This Denny is quite convenient because this restaurant's menu is available day and night, their prices are reasonable too. Ordering is easy, no problems so far. Going there at night is my usual rountine, about 3 times in a week. The place is spacious, parking is also easy and the staff is well trained. I came here with my family Saturday night. I'm always looking for specials and deals and know Dennys has kids eat free Tues and Sat 4-10pm. So we decided to eat at Dennys for the eat free special. But when my check came they still charged us. I told them and when I left noticed they still charged for my other kid. Uhhh , I called they said they will give me free kids meal next time. So now to get my original free kids meal I have to go and pay more! Plus they had us wait and wait to order. Zesty nachos was lacking taste. Overall my family enjoyed. Took my son there for a quick bite to eat. This location is always busy in the morning. Eunice who is a good server who has been there a long time was our server. My whole entree was cold : eggs, bacon, sausage, homefries. The problem with Dennys is that the bacon, sausage, and homefries sit on the grill all day. I understand they cannot cook these items to order because of ticket time adherence, but when they see homefries on my plate that look old and burnt that they should never make it to my table. First my son ordered milk and we got OJ. Then I ordered a meal that came with OJ and I didn't receive it until I had to ask for it half way through my meal. Speed of service was slow, although the servers seem to be running around sometimes I feel they have too many tables to give great guest service. And if I can get one cup of coffee from any Dennys that is not stained and dirty that would be appreciated . read more

It was getting a bit late (9pm). I was hungry for Italian. Specifically I wanted seafood pasta Alfredo, seasoned with garlic. I saw a youtube video of somebody cooking it and wanted to taste what I saw. I yelped around and didn't find anything promising that I was sure was going to be open, but I had a Denny's gift card I hadn't used yet. Why not? I could get lucky. And at least I could use the gift card. And I'd be sure to catch them open. Not so lucky. The only thing Italian on the menu was the spaghetti and meatballs. So I ordered the Senior menu portion, with the Caesar salad. (Neither of the soup choices were Italian either.) Service was adequate, but not stellar. I counted five tables in use and four wait staff, but they still somehow couldn't manage to execute truly attentive service. Decor had a notable plus: the lamp shades over the tables were of beautiful blown glass. It was an old restaurant (the ceiling showed the age with dirt around the vents) but there were no tears in the cushions or carpets. I didn't see any worn or chipped spots in the tables either. So maintenance is good. The food was filling, but disappointingly not sufficiently Italian. The tomato sauce was surprisingly sweet, and they were rather stingy with the seasoning. No garlic in evidence. They did provide nicely shaved Parmesan but no red peppers. The bread was grilled and tasted more like something from Dallas, Texas, not Roma, Italia. read more

As a Denny's lover, this restaurant is by far the worst at its job. With its disgustingly incompetent servers, to its insanely long serving time this is one restaurant you do not want to go to. The servers are horrible, making mistakes multiple multiple times. I ordered a root beer, and my girlfriend a Dr. Pepper. We both received root beers. I asked for a refill on my ROOT BEER, didn't know it tasted like coke after a refill. My girlfriend got a root beer as well. We had to ask for silverware atleast three times which is absurd. With a competent server this would never happen. The replacement server had the audacity to look at us as if we were in the wrong. We acquired our food after nearly fourty mins. We arrived at 8:00PM, ordered around 8:10 and got the food at 9:00. My brother in law ordered a skillet. Only half of it was edible due to being burnt. My parents ordered soups, they had to wait an hour so they rejected it after a time. My sister ordered for a strawberry lemonade drink, which she reconfirmed with the server a variety of times. On the order, it says berry blue lemonade, which she received. We ordered three bowls of soup, but only got one. They charged us for three. Do not eat here, unless you are looking to write a review of the same trait as mine. This is a joke restaurant. This trash of a restaurant doesn't even deserve a single star. I'm a big fan of this specific Denny's staff but for some reason they can't get their stuff together and make it run efficiently. Regularly, people are waiting too be sat and there are empty tables, you're sat and still there is no silverware when the food arrives, they rarely answer the phone, and are always out of items(milk, orange juice, ice cream, etc.) Management needs to really step up and either higher more staff during peak hours or figure out what items the staff needs to do their job more efficiently(like order more silverware!). read more

Normally I really enjoy Denny's however this location has by far been the worst I've been too. Not sure if it was because it was busy but our server looked mad and over her job and a bit rude, plates were smaller than at other restaurants, still good but definitely smaller. I'll avoid this location and drive to the one in Bonita. read more
