Just had one of the worst experiences at Denny's Scottsdale/Osborn location. Before we even ordered, the server forgot the lady's food at the table next to us (Her friends ate without her) should have left then. We order and she got my husband's order wrong. Brought him an omelet when he ordered a burger. she forgot my dad's avocado. My chicken fried steak was so horrible I had to spit it out. I reordered a build your own and she brought me 1 &1/4 pieces of tiny tiny bacon...should have been 2. My eggs were supposed to be over medium and they were so runny...hash browns were so undercooked they were still white. Charged me $1.49 for switching white to wheat bread. Needless to say we all ate separate...just like the table next to us. We will never go back and I don't recommend it to anyone. Place wasn't even busy. And it was my dad's birthday breakfast. Bleach blonde lady who works up front, I don't know if she is a manager or host. Worst energy and customer service I've ever experienced. She hates her job, and wants you to know it. Every time we go in to this Dennys, she is there and she is miserable. Server named Ella waited on us. We waited 30 mins for two breakfasts, and our food didn't even come out together. Denny's is Denny's! To be honest, I hadn't been to one in probably 20 years (since I was a kid). But my boyfriend has serious nostalgia with Denny's because he said they came here all the time as kids. So after he helped move me into my new apt, I figured there was no better way to treat him than to a breakfast at Denny's! The menu is more extensive than I remembered. I also appreciated that you could build your own Grand Slam. I was in the mood for hash browns and didn't really care what other sides I got (yes, I am positive I could eat an entire plate of hash browns for breakfast every day if it was acceptable). I went with the scrambled egg whites, Turkey bacon and an English muffin. While we waited, I ordered a hot chocolate. Typical watery Swiss Miss, so I wouldn't get that again. Meal came out super fast. The hash browns were on point and perfectly crispy. I loved them! The eggs were pretty watery and I'm almost positive they use an egg white substitute (which may perhaps be listed on the menu, but I didn't see it). The turkey bacon was not at all crispy and very limp. I only ate one just to get some extra protein in. However, I really enjoyed the English muffin and was glad they had strawberry jelly (the best!) The best part about the whole experience was the bill. I'm used to going to all the uppity placed in Scottsdale for brunch, so an $80+ bill is typical. So to pay a tad over $30 for two meals, a hot chocolate and a soda (and that's AFTER tip!) was a welcome delight. I think it's worth it to throw Denny's into the brunch mix every so often. It won't be the best breakfast you've ever had, but for what you get for the price, your wallet (and stomach) will thank you. read more

I came on a Friday evening with a party of 5 people. We were seated right away, and were brought water right away. The restaurant had a nice, quiet atmosphere at this time of the evening and we enjoyed a lovely meal. Everyone enjoyed their food. I had the fried chicken with mashed potatoes, gravy and corn. It was delicious. The service was efficient and friendly. There were two servers taking care of the entire restaurant and they did a great job! The waitress Terriann was horrible. She didn't listen to us on what we wanted. She changed our pancakes to chocolate pancakes. She didn't even ask if white or wheat toast. We asked for bacon only, we got one bacon and one sausage. Hash browns were not done whatsoever. Eggs were over done. She just brought what she decided. On the coffee, I asked for lots of creamer. She brought only the half and half, didn't ask which we wanted. I had to also go to other tables to get more sugar, Ketchup and more napkins. Just horrible food and service! Let's start out with this is Denny's! Dennys isn't known for the healthiest food that's for sure. This is the first time being in a Denny's in about 2 years. I have to say I enjoyed myself. This location has to be the cleanest and best looking Denny's I've ever been in. Then again I do go there much. My skillet was exactly what the said and the taste was good for here. My wife had fish and she said it was also ok. My son is picky so he really doesn't count. . We tried it and for a fast food kids meal it was also ok. Remember people this is Denny's not a fine dining restaurant. I will say for this location it was the best ever for me. From the food, service and the first one that I've been in that was clean. . I've been to this location several times. Most of the time it was good. There were a handful of times years ago that it was not so good. However, this last Saturday, on February 22nd, my experience was fantastic! Our server Cassidy was so fast, friendly and attentive! Not to mention everyone in the restaurant was working together as a team and getting along well! I've been a server before so I know what it can be like. I am not sure about the 2.5 stars for here, it was fantastic, yes Denny's fantastic. We walked in and I was waiting for that cleaning supply smell, nope. The place was warm and clean. Our Server Daphne was awesome. Pleasant, friendly and totally took care of us. She stopped by the table several times. I had the Bacon burger and my Wife had the French toast slam. Both were so tasty, fresh and hot. If you haven't stopped by here in a while, maybe come back and give them another try. read more

I was suspicious of this location's proximity to old town, but, to my surprise, it was very relaxed. This is a perfect place to go if you're not looking for a boisterous crowd. only giving one star because it's the only way to leave a review. the entire trip was a complete and utter mess. and like it's Dennys. if the prices were not jacked up so high I wouldn't t even be leaving a review. but we all paid 15 bucks each a plate so here it is. The manager. Tammy Anne . was super rude and unprofessional. her demeanor came off as disrespectful and it was very unprofessional from the rigid movements and face expression all the way to them messing up our bill and her being annoyed that it needed to be fixed. It almost seemed like she was on drugs. Out of the 8 orders only two of them were right. we all got cold food and half the food wasn't even what we ordered. Thankfully Cassidy was amazing as a server and did everything he could to make sure we got our stuff but it's not his fault the kitchen got everything wrong. The entire experience was negative for us and we will NOT EVER go back to that location. honestly with the prices as high as they are it's not worth it. Add the terrible service from the manger and other staff I feel like it's just not worth it at all. read more
