Average. Food quality and menu creativity is lacking, but the prices are cheap and hours unbeatable (open 24 hours everyday). I dined with a group of colleagues after an exhausting day of work. Tired and hungry and not wanting to work too hard to find a restaurant that was open and quick, we landed here. The 5 of us had: veggie skillet (me), country fried steak, fit fare wild Alaska salmon, t-bone steak, and mediterranean grilled chicken. I found my skillet (with potato cubes, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, and broccoli with egg whites scrambled with spinach and grape tomatoes) to be surprisingly bland, but was improved with a healthy slathering of cholula hot sauce. I did like the generous amount of baby grape tomatoes. It is one of the few vegetarian items on the menu, unless you just want a carb feast of pancakes. My colleagues generally enjoyed their meals, neither bad nor super amazing, and particularly liked the rice sides and hash browns. We all split a caramel apple crisp and a chocolate lava cake for dessert, which was our favorite part of the meal. I placed an online order for a grand slam with over easy eggs. When I received my order the eggs were RAW. Now I understand over easy eggs are runny and not fully cooked but there is a difference between a runny yolk and cooked whites but in this case the whites were completely see through a slimy. I could pick up the white goo with my fingers and forks. When I tried to call 5 min from getting my order I was just met with argumentative tone telling me I was wrong. I am never coming to this location again not o my for the food but for the lack of accountability. read more

Ordered delivery and they left out 6 items. I got the classic sampler appetizer which is supposed to come with four sauces. I chose marinara for the mozzarella sticks, buffalo for the chicken, honey mustard and ranch for the fries and onion rings. They gave me zero. I also paid $3 for sides of Nashville hot sauce and BBQ sauce. Nothing. I got two boxes of food and that's it, when I needed 6 sauces in order to enjoy the meal. I enjoyed my stay last night at Denny's and my time so I decided to come back for another dinner treat. Let's start with how clean & well put the place was I also enjoyed the Halloween decor! Typical Denny's diner (been thinking about them a lot since they are doing free delivery in CA right now and our hotel in AZ had free GrubHub delivery) so I'm not even sure why we went into Denny's at 2:30 in the morning last Friday night. But we did, and we were seated fast and served our food almost right away. i ordered the sampler appetizer and enjoyed the big, crispy tater tots on the platter. We both had hot coffee and shared a salad, and my bf had a ham and cheese omelette with all the good sides. Our server Sarah was nice and told us about a couple local casinos. Probably one of the worst experiences I've had at a Denny's. Never brought out my coffee to start the evening. Food came out 25 minutes late, and my food was cold. Like it was sitting there for some time. The atmosphere was too packed and the waiter seemed to cater more to the table beside us. Even the table behind us had their order messed up and they were there before us and the other parties around us. What can I expect from a Denny's at 11:45 pm? Horrible service. This doesn't show me the address and there are 2 Denny's in Scottsdale. Today I ate at the 3315 N. Scottsdale rd and in the past 7th & Camelback. I like them both. The salmon, red potatoes and mixed veggies plus a green shake was great. It's REAL Alaska Salmon and not farmed like the expensive restaurants. Also cheaper if you are senior. Dennys is well-known as the MacDonalds of breakfast fare across the country, and variations are bound to arise...I visit many of them, but...sadly in Scottsdale Arizona of all places, it was just gross. While going to visit a friend in the hospital, we stopped at the Dennys around the corner on Scottsdale Rd to grab a bite, ironically to avoid eating in the hospital cafeteria. I had been there before and had a good experience. That was before Covid...maybe they lost the staff they had before. The man sitting near us was angry and arguing with a young man, who turned out the be the store manager, and complaining that his food was under-cooked and waiting 40 minutes for an egg to be re-served. The manager was defensive, and the customers around that table got to hear the squabble, not a great opener. We should have left right then, buuttttt....we didn't. We each ordered the Lumberjack slam and coffee. We waited quite a while for coffee, noting the servers blaming each other for not brewing it, and running back and forth to the kitchen returning items from tables and yelling back at the cook for items they needed. When we got our food...both orders were undercooked. The eggs were so raw that you could see the gelatinous egg white surrounding the yolks. The bacon was likewise under-cooked with pale pink meat and transparent fat. I didn't try the sausage. The hash-browns were cold and pale. I tired a pancake and to my surprise, the top looked tan and well-made, and the bottom was burned black. Unreal. We decided to pass on the meal, given what we witnessed coming in. We tried to flag down a waitress (who never refilled the coffee...which in of itself was not half-bad once we got it), but gave up and went to the register to pay. The person ahead of us was complaining about the food and the service, and gave the poor gal at the register (she seemed to be the only one doing her job) an earful. I did not want to spend the time to complain, it seems they had a lot of feedback already and were not connected to the customer at all. I paid and left. We went through the drive at a nearly Taco Bell and got breakfast burritos and went to the hospital to complete our visit, discussing how we might have wound up there ourselves as patients had we eaten at that Dennys. read more

Ordered the Grand Slam, cook made my poached eggs extra soft, which I my experiences even Denny's cooks made HB in the past and I kept having to send back, even twice. So this cook got it right the first time . The grits used to be served in a soup bowl, but now you get 4 tbsns in same little dessert dish that the poached eggs come in. Grits really needs salt for body and was very watery. Sausage gravy on 1 biscuit, ehhhhhhh. I thought the time between when I ordered to be slow too. Ok so I went here and I was feeling kind of blah, like eww kind of a not good day. I didn't wanna go home, but I wasn't really hungry. Ask for Mary's section! We stopped in because we are right next door at the courtyard. We were immediately greeted and sat in the "executive section" per Mary. I just had the worst experience at this place! I had a birthday coupon, but not only they couldn't apply it but also the guy over there (I'm not sure if he was the manager or not) mocked me! He said I should print the barcode and the coupon is not valid if it's shown on the phone!!! Then, he told me that it should be applied on your birthday exactly (then why I have received it and it's valid till the end of the month? Isn't it for the birthday month?). They checked my license!
