I hope the management of this location will address and improve the attitude and treatment of the manager involved. On May 21st around 10-11 PM, my family and I experienced what felt like discrimination and very poor customer service at this branch. We were 4 adults, 2 kids, including a 1-month-old baby and a 1-year-old baby. We respectfully asked if we could move to another seating area where we could all fit comfortably together. However, despite there being around 10 available tables, the manager refused our request and instead gave the seating area to another group. When I politely asked why they were allowed to sit there while the space was available, the manager responded to me with a very rude attitude and lack of professionalism. We felt disrespected and unfairly treated during the entire situation. This experience was very disappointing, especially because we were with small children and simply asking for proper accommodation and respect. I hope management takes this concern seriously and ensures better customer service and fair treatment for everyone in the future. read more

We came here so we could have an early breakfast as a family. My son needs to go to work at 8:30 and this is the only restaurant that's open at this time, after the 6:00 mass. I, now, remembered why we stopped coming here. It's because of the moldy smell of their carpet flooring and the T-bone steak that is so tough that it's so hard to chew. It's nice to see that they removed the carpet. But the steak is still the same. It's sooo hard to finish. I had to tell the server how tough their steak is and I hope the do something about it, otherwise, less people would order it. Also, there's not too many costumers yet, but the service is so slow. I'm writing this in reference to Denny's on Hawthorne Boulevard in Torrance. They are absolutely excellent with their food and it is so tasty and delicious. We go to many restaurants and I haven't tasted food anywhere as tasty light and just excellent leaving you with a great feeling when you finish. The ambience and atmosphere is excellent and the service is outstanding I haven't seen waitresses as good as this in any other restaurant . Nanette is absolutely excellent, very friendly thorough and knowledgeable and gives us excellent excellent service. The same is to be said for Jessica who is also very conscientious friendly excellent waitress and just makes it frankly the best restaurant experience there is in the greater South Bay that we've seen. Great value for the amount if food. Upon entering, we were quickly tended to as seated. All is the wait staff were on their toes. Constantly moving to bring food out or quickly bus the tables. The one thing I can usually count on at Denny's is diner food, which is my thing. Servers and area are what change. I had a turkey club and asked for the bacon to be burnt. Yes, that's how I roll and also a ruler as to where I'll go back to eat. The server was super nice and checked on me often. My sandwich, with bacon as requested, and fries were delicious. Denny's might have to be written off my list for good after this past visit. I'm writing this currently as I'm getting over a food poisoning spell and I say you are better saving your money and eating at home. I have been going to Dennys for a good portion of my life, so I know what's to be expected. As of prior years I noticed quality of food being subpar as it has more of an artificial taste to it compared to prior years. I've gone to the one that used to be by 405 freeway and the other that was in PCH growing up. This last visit is the straw that broke the camels back. We got there around 1pm were greeted and seated promptly great because by then I was hungry and hadn't eaten yet. I ordered my usual go to. A French toast slam with a side of hash brown. I noticed the eggs and sausage were tepid at best not very warm at all. French toast tasted like a yoga mat. If I hadn't been so hungry I would of skipped. We finish our meal, and about 10 minutes late as I'm driving home I get the worst headache of my life!!!!! Something was wrong and didn't know what, then a few hours later I found out, the food made me physically ill as I had not eaten anything else. Something else I noticed earlier was that the whole place was crowded but I only saw 2 waiters for the whole place. My husband didn't get his second refill until we were almost done and had been trying to flag him down but he was nowhere to be seen. He was slammed back to back all across the restaurant. My theory is that the food had been sitting out since the morning and they just slapped it on a plate for me to eat. Not worth the $60 for 2 people. An absolute waste of time and money. Dennys, do better. Hire more people. If you can't get your basics right, how do you expect people to want to come back? read more

I came here for brunch with my mom. We both ordered the super bird which was good! Nothing super crazy but was tasty and filling. We also ordered the cinnamon sugar pancake puppies which came burnt so they didn't taste very good. The service was okay nothing to write home about but there was a robot automatic server that went to the table near us which was pretty cool! I called wondering if their restaurant location was hiring by chance since the location is not far from me. It took them about 2 calls back to back for them to answer (not a big deal since i work at a restaurant and it can get busy at times). I asked if their management was available and they said to hold on. Been on the phone for 12 min with no one updating me or no one asking me to call later since they're busy.As an employee it is crucial for me to make sure my guests are attended whether through phone or in person so I stayed on the line to see how long it will take for someone to update me or get to me. 25 min later they hanged up. I'm looking forward to work at this location but if this happens often or this is how they work, I don't think i'll apply.
