What a disappointment! Although I'm not a big Denny's fan my daughter likes their pasta. The whole trip was quite a disappointment. Our server was friendly initially but then was nonexistent. We didn't have any place settings, My daughters soup was extremely salty, my burger was cold and very bland and our sides never came. Our server ended up leaving without ever coming back to check on everything, see if we needed anything else or even say that her shift was ending and someone else was taking over for her. I ate maybe a quarter of my burger and threw it away. This whole experience was a huge disappointment. What was even more disappointing is that when I told the cashier about our experience it seems to really not matter. I'm sorry but we will not be back to this restaurant. read more

This was my first time at the new Denny's on Telegraph Rd in Ventura. The customer service was excellent. We had a party of 6 and they were busy but our order arrived quickly and food was hot and very good. We dined outside and it was alot of fun. Service was fine and place is clean since it just opened. If it hadn't been for the employee that kept barking at the kitchen asking if they had things ready it would have been a better experience. I'm not sure why she has to very loudly over and over again ask if pancakes or eggs were ready. Breakfast for our family of four on November 2. Service was beverages by the hostess and our order done by the server. Situation: upon receiving my order for tomato juice the hostess said "ew, plain tomato juice? I don't think we have that." Then on serving the tomato juice she commented about how it needed celery or something. Recommend: no comments by her at all. Take the beverage order And Smile, Buh-bye. Another situation: server stated she wasn't certain where our server had gone. Had we seen her. We had not do she took our order. An experienced lady, she was very professional. She also served our food. The designated server came to remove our finished dishes. She wasn't as pleasant. Maybe needed a longer break? A frowning lady. Situation: that server reached for our plate which still contained food as we were eating I guess that's efficient but we had to say, not done. Thankfully she didn't say "still working in that?", a statement I find repulsive. Denny's staff please never ask that. Food was great. Servers mostly incredible. A few rough bumps. Went to Dennys on Telegraph Rd, Ventura today, and sooo glad I did. This Dennys was clean, inviting, server was friendly helpful paid attention to my needs, if any, just a really good experience. If you have not eaten at the Denny's on Telegraph in Ventura lately , give it another try! Our waiter, Rocky, was friendly and helpful. My husband and I ordered from the breakfast menu and both of us were very pleased with the food! My husband enjoyed the hash browns and eggs and good coffee ! I had an omelet filled with cheese , sausage and crispy bacon. I also had fruit and two very fluffy tasty buttermilk pancakes! Fruit was a fresh and perfectly ripened bowl of strawberries, grapes and cantaloupe ! So happy we actually have a NICE Dennys in town. It's clean, well-appointed. Went there for breakfast. Place was super busy. My husband and I went there on a day where we thought it would be quiet. No such luck. It was busy and they seemed to be short staffed, not unusual since the COVID nightmare. I have to say this is the cleanest Denny's I've ever been in. All the way from the manager who seated us to our server Victoria, It was nothing but a pleasurable experience. Victoria was very accommodating and very knowledgeable on how to navigate what we wanted. My husband has always loved Denny's. Mom is 90 years old and I am 62. After shopping at CVS-Ashwood on a Monday, we went for an after lunch-rush hour test at this recently opened Denny's. We were greeted and given close seating near the host station. Mom uses a cane. The hostess, the water came; then the waitperson checked twice until mom decided. Mom was curious how the interior was refurbished but I think it was just super nice, clean updated Denny's styling. I told her she should check the County Health report for the kitchens in 6 months if she didn't think our food looked like the menu photos. Well. Our plates were FABULOUS! The Denny kitchen is putting out Top work! Mom had a thick and juicy Avocado bacon Burger with Onion rings that was enormous... and beautiful. My Senior menu BLT was perfected by accommodating my dietary needs... no fries substitute for tomato slices and a delicious cup of the day soup. Monday was a Vegetable Beef. Yum Yum. So, we were very pleased with this great adventure to this Denny's for lunch. Mom and me at Denny's so convenient near her house. Yes, we will come again. p.s. Came in today with my family, a guy, I believe he was the manager was very rude to me and my family as well as our server. We sat down it took the server 10 mins to even greet us. She couldn't keep up with all the table she had. Then our food was sitting in the window for at least 10mins. When we got our food it was cold. I told our Waitress that our food was cold and she processed to tell me I was wrong so I asked to take to the manager. When he came up to our table he already seem annoyed that he had to talk to us.
