Updated review from my previous experience. Today 09/20/2025 I was in the neighborhood. The sign outside caught my eye. I said give it a try, we'll, it wad great. I came here in december and i've been on this earth for 27 years and NEVER had dennys . I always hear nightmare stories about dennys, especially where i live.. But this has definitely changed that feeling. This food was so fresh, HOT and delicious ! We just got the burgers and chicken tenders and they the BEST, We went in the middle of the night and there was so many workers that were very friendly and helpful. i was so surprised by that because where i live you won't even see 1 worker anywhere. There was a large party there, so the waitress was not able to accommodate her normal tables so the fantastic woman at the cash registar was able to take my order and check on me. After watching a great play, the family decided to eat at the nearby Denny's. We sat down and was immediately attended to. The food was pretty good. My MIL ordered Salmon, but that was over cooked. I got a burger, the avocado were fresh. The onion rings were hitting in a good way. We had the best waiter named Chris. He anticipated our every need. I gave it 4 stars for the service. This is a very clean location. It is on a corner with nice spacious parking. Service was a little slow due to short staff. Management was polite. The ULTIMATE OMELETTE had all of the wonderful fillings that included sausage, bacon, bell peppers & onions, mushrooms, tomatoes and cheddar cheese. It looked picture perfect. The server was very nice and attentive to every detail our meal. The music was playing funk, soul, and rhythm and blues old school music. Which adding a very nice touch to having a pleasant Denny's experience. Food prices and food quality was right on the mark. Hungry and tired... I couldnt make it home on empty. My dude was like Im not sure about this location. We took a chance and glad we did. We had very friendly wait staff during our stay. I don't know what to say about this place; no matter how many times we give this location another chance they find a way to screw it up. We ordered the fish and our server brought us an incomplete meal. We had fish and onion rings but they totally left out our vegetables. I didn't realize it until the end of the meal. I didn't want to say anything because I know how people do when you complain about the kitchen; I don't trust what they do to your food. I spoke to the manager while cashing out and he gave me a credit for a side oder; that was fair. I'm going to avoid returning to this particular location in the future. I would recommend driving another 5 minutes to the one on Benning Road across from Shrimp Boat. This has to be the dumbest staff of Dennys of all time. Third time I have ordered from this location and did not receive my beverage item. What is even more upsetting is that I actually called this location after placing my order via UberEats, asking for them to ensure to pack a lot of sugar and cream for the coffee. The man ensured me that it will be done. They never eve gave the coffee to the driver! This ids why black people stop ordering from black staff locations because they are just plain stupid! Sorry just had to come back and update this...I also learned that they put cheese in my eggs after I selected NO CHEESE since I am allergic to dairy! This damn store is a trip! My veggie omelette was good. It was better than what I thought it would be for an inexpensive restaurant. It came out of the kitchen hot too! I did not like the hash browns. I can't describe the taste but they were not good to me. I didn't care for the pancake puppies either. They tasted just like the batter. Also, the seat on one side of the booth, where we were seated, was badly torn...not good for a lady with shorts on. There were a few families waiting to be seated. We were greeted shortly after we walked in. Then seated shortly after that. It was nearly full with a only a few tables available. This rating is mainly for the location itself not for the chain. My family amd I usualy frequent Dennys on road trips but this last visit made us want to run from the establishment. First our waitress was barely around and treated us like she was doing us a favor. It took 20 mins for water, another 20 mins just to order and then when we finally got the food, it was cold. I was so turned off by the snail service I didnt even bother sending it back because I probably wouldn't get it back until the following day. Also I ordered a cup of hot tea as my beverage, tell me why she brought me a kettle of warm water, like she just filled it up from the faucet real quick. Aside from the service they tried to freeze me out, I had my coat on the whole time. Its November, there's no reason why inside the restaurant is the same exact temperature as outside. And then as we waited for the check they came aroumd with samples of the pumpkin pie and pecan pie. We tried the pumpkin, and we obvious chose wrong, it was not appetizing at all. Took grandchildren to Denny's because that's their favorite place they love their pancakes and both of them had double stack of pancakes specials. Everything was very good no complaints other than there was only maybe four people in the restaurant and we finally had to get up and walk up to the cash register to check out cuz no one came by to see if we wanted anything else or needed our check or anything. in the beginning they came by two or three times and then we were finishing and waiting to get our check no one was around. This Denny is the slowest restaurant that I have ever been to. Each visit, I have spent 1.5-2 hours in this establishment. The food is okay, however, the service and kitchen is slow. This has been the case mid day and late night. Would not recommend if you are on any kind of timeframe. read more

First time I came I was the only one here, waitress must not have known because I waited 10 minutes before she even came out of the kitchen. She seemed inconvenienced by the fact that I was there and the food ended up taking a very long time. The second time I came it was the closest Denny's on the way to my destination. I figured I'd save about 20 minutes coming here, I was wrong. The waiter didn't seem to have any idea about expediting skills. When I was sat I told him I knew what I wanted and I could save him a trip, instead of taking my order he said "well this group of 6 was here first so let me talk to them first" he then took everyone else's order even making multiple trips to one table before taking the order I already had ready. Once I gave the order, he explained it may take a while to get my drink. I feel kinda bad for this guy, he doesn't know how to work smarter instead of harder. He also sat everyone who came in directly next to each other during a pandemic but I don't blame him for that cause he asked where id like to be seated first. To put it simply, I'll drive the extra 20 minutes to avoid this location in the future. (Edit: I walked in at 7:50 it's 8:15 and I still haven't even gotten a drink yet, I'm changing this review from 2 stars to a one star. I don't know how they have more than that.) read more
