Amazing. Hot inside temp wise but the seafood lasagna is a must have. I will be going back before I leave town

Best pizza in Birmingham (obviously) but what isn't talked about enough is their pasta dishes. The vodka pasta is amazing & I will be trying every other pasta dish soon.

Birthday dinner! Manicotti! Very plentiful and served pipping hot! Service was excellent! Refilled drinks quickly. We found the family owned business while visiting about 10 years ago! A must every time we are visiting! They have a small bar with tv and a meeting room with large crowds! Homemade Italian dressing was yummy!!

Calzone take away. Very good crust & sauce! Super!

I had a calzone. It was delicious. I got it to go, but they didn't give me enough marinara sauce. The sauce is excellent by the way! As others have said here, the service is a bit slow, but the restaurant was full because the food is simply delicious! This is a local hang out and they have been in business for a while!! They had a decent selection of beers. (Not just Budweiser). Also, I saw different wines at the bar. There are three rooms for seating, and one room has padded seating on the wall. It was very clean! The best thing was, it was not too loud to have a conversation, and even hear people three chairs down! This was on a Wednesday 7pm. I would say good vibes here for sure.

Fettuccine Alfredo, Garlic Loaf, Baked Ziti

This local Italian restaurant really hits the spot and carb cravings. I love exploring more local options for different pizzas and pastas rather than large chains. And DeVinci's never disappoints. We ordered delivery through UberEats to be COVID friendly and their packaging is perfect! Everything comes super hot, which is similar to their in house service I've had before the pandemic (their baked ziti quite literally comes straight out of the oven). For their prices, their portions are HUGE. And each pasta comes with a half loaf of garlic bread. The only reason I am giving it four stars is because the baked ziti was a little watery at the bottom and the fettuccine alfredo's cheese got overwhelming after a while. But truth be told, one meal usually lasts me two days easily. Check out the pic for an idea of how their delivery works and portion sizes!

The Mona Lisa pizza is awesome. I have been eating here since the early 1990's when they used to do dime beer back when I was in college.

Anyways, everyone ordered a calzone and we opted for a large cheese bread which came out ahead of the calzones. What a perfect idea, right....Most places bring your salad or appetizer before the meal, but often way too close to the meal. This young man was running the place alone with great timing. Taking orders, preparing food, cleaning up tables after guests and handling it all very well. Cheese bread was great, fresh out of the oven. Two meat lovers calzones, a supreme calzone, and my wife's over the top concoction of sausage, onion, mushroom, pineapple, and green olives were all a hit and also hot baked from the oven. Messy, but good. Music reminded me of car rides with my mom back in the 90's. Large portion of the dining room says it's closed but I couldn't figure out why. Even though one guy was running the entire show, service was great. About $20 per person with tip, so not too bad. I like their pizza box, which says 'break the chain - eat local'.

I stopped by for lunch, and ordered the ziti with meatballs. I didn't get a drink because they only have soda; no water or tea. The ziti was lukewarm. The sauce and meatballs were a little on the bland side, but pepper flakes livened it up. The garlic bread was extra crispy and burned to charcoal around the edges and bottom. I didn't see the bottom was burned until I tasted it. As it it tasted of carbon. I am surprised they let that out of the kitchen. The bill with tip came to over $15, and I don't think the meal was worth that. I think they need.to look at what they are putting on people's plates before it leaves the kitchen. Non-soda drink options would be nice as well.

I sat while I waited under the enormous number of ceiling fans on the patio. It was quite cool and pleasant, even though it was August in Alabama. Not sure if there would be a spot to sit and wait on takeout if the restaurant was full. The pizzas were spectacular (and I'm sorry I don't remember the names) one was loaded up with all the meats and the other was loaded up with all the veggies both were excellent. A friend and I split the medium double pepperoni pizza. It was reminiscent of Costco pizza (compliment). It's greasy, but it's good. It was the correct amount of pizza for two people who weren't super hungry. The atmosphere here is so homey and simple, it's a great spot to be. Definitely family-friendly. Around dinner time, after the Homewood shops close, parking is super easy to find. They have a good beer and wine selection, sodas, but no iced tea! Maybe I just caught them on an off-day. I don't think any establishment in Alabama has ever told me they don't have iced tea. The servers are all very friendly, and our pizza came out piping hot and fresh. Prices are good for this 2025 world.

One could make an argument, and rightfully so, that pizza is not a dish requiring reinvention. Yet,…read morewe are humans, we cannot stop ourselves at the Neapolitan classic version, the iconic NYC slices nor the Chicago deep dish. Something within us, is tirelessly reinventing. Whether good or bad, someone else can decide. A real distinction of Pizza Grace is in its most fundamental element, and the aspect that one could argue to be the most important part of any pizza, period. Of course, that would be the crust. The crust here is created with wild yeast sourdough, called "Frank", resulting in a unique profile regardless of what later lands on top of the pizza. Let's pause here for just a second, is it not ridiculous having to wait 24-48 hours for the slow crust fermentation to happen? Apparently, the owners Chef Ryan Westover and his wife Helene didn't think so. Their signature pizza here is no less impressive either: topped with Louisiana crawfish, ricotta, Parmesan, mint and basil. It is a true star of the show. It's hard for most people to pinpoint exactly where they had the best pizza of their life, but this warehouse building in Alabama might just end up being that spot.

We walked up the street with a half dozen other diners. Wooden City is definitely not in the best part of BHM. Walking to the restaurant was a little sketchy, no need for a detailed description. Although we had reservations, the hostess looked at us like we had three eyes. She found a small table for us in the far back of the restaurant. No problem, at least we were seated. Our server greeted us quickly and went over the menu. We ordered drinks, blistered Hungarian peppers and a sausage and mushroom pizza. We told him that we were going to a concert and were on a little bit of a tight schedule. By the time our server checked on our food, the second time, we went from a little bit tight to full "gotta get out of here" mode. I guess the delay in getting our food was to give the kitchen time to burn our pizza. Over half of the thick, chewy crust was inedible. The bottom of the pie didn't fare much better. The peppers, on the other hand, were amazing. (not so much so at 2 am but that's just me!) They are a do not miss. We were at least able to settle our bill quickly and made it to the concert with time to spare. Overall, would we go back? Only if in the area - those peppers were amazing. Still, I definitely would not make a special trip.
