Howdy friends in DFW. If you need to have your windshield replaced, ask for Carlos at Diamond Auto Glass. They use American made glass with highly skilled/experienced/friendly Mexican labor. They changed out my windshield in 15 minutes flat without causing any damage to the aluminum frame, which I inspected, before the replacement was installed. Safelite quoted me $449.99 before taxes. Safelite is a trusted national company which insurance carriers use, but that quote was too high!!! Diamond Auto Glass (1905 E. Shady Grove Rd. Irving, TX 75060) charged me a total of $140.00 including taxes. $85.00 for the glass only, and the difference for labor and taxes. I can buy 3 USA made windshields at Diamond Auto Glass, for 1 Chinese made windshield at Safelite. I highly recommend this company which was bustling with business. I saw over 15 people and a Irving Police vehicle getting their windshields replaced. read more

I needed a windshield replacement and looked around for several quotes. I called at 9 am and they told me they could get someone out to me between 1-3 & price was unbeatable!! He got here about 2:40 and took about 45 min, give or take. The gentleman I spoke to was super nice and so was the one who came to replace my windshield. This place is amazing. I was in a jam, tight on money because I'm paying for school and had some family emergency happen, and after helping my fiance drop his son off in Houston and head back to Dallas, a rock hit my windshield. I was so freaked and upset. Within a couple of days, the crack got worse, super bad, stretching across my windshield horizontally in half. I got quotes and people wanted $800+ for my windshield replacement. Safelite was the most expensive. Almost $1K!!!! My car insurance deductible is set to $1K. So my coworker told me about this place, it was far for me to drive, about 40 minutes, but the price was worth it. I got here and they helped me out quick. I spent less than half of that on my windshield and it was done right! The customer service is great. They are super efficient and knowledgeable. Don't let the looks of the place intimidate you. The Diamond Auto Glass is a horrible company in providing services as well as dishonest to the customer. My vehicle was vandalized, and required to replace most of the glass windows. I was told the totally was $500.00; which the same as my deductible. They said they'll put down $800.00, so I could received $300.00 from my insurance company. They billed the Insurance company, and the insurance company actually paid them extra $300.00; and they denied of getting the money from the insurance company. The insurance company proved me that they had paid Diamond Auto Glass. Services: My doors screwed up after they replaced the glasses, which sometimes the windows did not move up. Do not use this company. We paid them to replace a cracked windshield. After the repair, I opened my driver side door to discover a razor in the front seat, and bits of broken glass and black sealant throughout the front seats. After vacuuming up this mess, we discovered the rearview mirror was not attached correctly. Even worse, there's air coming through the front windshield!! It sounds like we have a window rolled down. I called them around 4:30 on Saturday afternoon, they said they would arrive between 6-7, at 7:01 the guy called and said he didn't have his light with him and can't come out. He said he would come out at 8am on Sunday. The guy never called or showed up. Around noon he called and asked if I still needed the windshield and I told him not to bother. After reading the other reviews I am glad I didn't do business with them and I never will based on their bad customer service. read more

I wish I could give them - stars. I called them regarding a non working window SWITCH in my driver front door. (Window won't go up). They insisted it was the modulator even though I told them I was certain the SWITCH was out. They even offered to come fix the part at my job: too good to be true right, well it was! Dude came out to my job 2 hours late! Attempted to fix the modulator, when he realized the window still wouldn't work he TAPE MY WINDOW UP AND LEFT SEVERAL SCREWS TO MY DOOR/WINDOW OUTSIDE ON THE GROUND BY MY CAR! the lady receptionist called and told me they wouldn't be able to come out and fix my switch til the next day which was a Saturday and I had plans to go out of town. Luckily I didn't have to drive my own car, but when I came back my window had fallen inside of my door. The tape peeled the paint off of my car and left a nasty residue. They set another appointment on that following Monday to come out and fix it at 10...they called at 10 and said they'll come by at 2.... At 2 (which was my lunch hour) they called and said 4pm....by then I was LiVID! I sped there on my lunch to raise hell!!!! When I arrived the guy was like "oh I was on my way to your job right now" ...I made them put my window back together and I left.... Please never do business with these clowns! Bunch of idiots ! P.s. We needed the front windshield on our RAM 2500 replaced. Diamond Auto Glass was quick to send me a quote and were able to come to our house to replace the windshield. We were very happy with the reasonable replacement cost, the whole replacement process took less than an hour and the windshield looks just like the original. I contacted multiple glass replacement companies. This was the best priced. Also, they came that day about 4 hours after i called. The person told me he would arrive between 2-3 pm at my work office where my car was parked. He arrived around 2:40 like he said and was completely finished within 30 minutes. My windshield had to be completely replaced since it had a huge crack completely across it. He was very efficient and fast. They also took debit card. My windshield looks amazing now and it was affordable. Awesome job! I would recommend and use again. read more

I needed my window fixed immediately and I called the first person I found. Then I got online to read the reviews and I was really concerned and even thought about calling back to cancel. I went ahead and gave the benefit of the doubt and it turned out they did a pretty good job. I would call again bc of the fast service. read more

I had Diamon Autoglass come to my home and replace my window. They showed up late and charged me a $20 service charge even though the website says it's free. They changed my window fairly fast but after a few days when it rained, I noticed that my wiper arms was installed incorrectly and the molding was falling off. I called them on a Friday afternoon to come back and fix it and was told that they would call me back with a time that the tech could come back. On Monday, when I still had not received a phone call, I called them back and they told me that the order had already been placed and they didn't know why the work hadn't been done yet, but he would call me right back. 4 hours later, I called them back and got the same story and that he would call me back. On Tuesday, I called them again and was told that they would check in to it and call me back (see a pattern here?) I called them again a few hours later and this time, they told me that they couldn't get a tech out until the next day between 9am and 10am, I agreed to the time. On Wednesday at 10am, I called them to find out why the tech wasn't there yet, they told me that he was running late and would be there soon. At 12pm, I called them again and they told me the tech went to lunch and would call me at 1pm when he gets back. at 1:30, I called them again and they told me they had the wrong address, I gave it to them again and he said the tech would call me when he is on his way. I said no, he doesn't need to call me, I have been here all day and will be here the rest of the day, just get here ASAP and fix my car! It is now 6:30 pm on Wednesday and they are not answering my calls anymore and the Tech still hasn't shown up. I have called them every 10 minutes for the last hour and still they won't answer my call. This has got to be the worst company I have ever had to deal with, I have called them at least 50 times in the last 4 days and am no closer to getting it fixed then I was when I started, and now they won't even take my calls! Not only would I NOT recommend this company, but I am going to write this review on every page that will listen! read more
