Passed this place a few times, back and forth, to and from work, and was having a friend over for tea and thought to stop and get a sweet for our table. They have a luscious cookie selection that tastes as good as they look, breads, pastries, everything you expect in a bakery, as well as extras like noodles and sauces, so essentially, you could grab an emergency gourmet bunch of dinner fixings... A young lady did greet me right away but gave me plenty of time to look around and then took care of me immediately when I was ready. Came with a friend for patries, coffee, and toddler time. Don't go for the jelly donuts, there was too much jelly to donut for me. The plain glazed was better, but fried too hard. Get the cinnamon swirl thing = delish. Also, the chocolate chip cookies next to the register are delish. Having grown up in Queens, I have a nostalgic soft spot for Italian bakeries so had to stop by here when I found myself in the area. As soon as you walk in prepare to set your sights on a mouth watering display of all types of sweet and savory carbs. I was first drawn to the crusty breads, then the authentic pasta sauces..then pulled to the sweeter end which displayed glistening glazed any iced donuts. Too much to choose from! I wound up ordering a couple of slices of the "cold pizza", a couple of donuts, pasta and a almond danish. The girl that took my order was very pleasant and reminded me of their BOGO specials. Eating pizza cold is too weird for me so I warmed the slices up at home in the toaster oven. These were my favorite of the items I got, thick, crusty and pillowy on the inside. Reheated pizza usually disappoints me, but this type reheats well probably because it has little to no sauce. No wonder the donuts were BOGO..they were stale. Few travesties in life more upsetting than stale donuts. Maybe because it was Sunday afternoon? Be forewarned the donuts can look better than they taste. The almond danish was a solid 3.5 stars. Again, not the freshest but not stale like the donuts..and almost sickeningly sweet. read more

I come here for the placek, which I learned about when I moved to Buffalo. I loved it so much upon trying it for the first time that we don't even call it placek at home anymore, we just call it "DTB," which stands for Delicious Tasty Bread. If you're not familiar, placek is a Polish bread that features a chewy texture and a crumby, buttery, crunchy, sugar-flour crust baked over it, crumble-style, much like a coffee cake. Dicamillos makes the best placek in Buffalo, hands down. I've tried many, and I keep coming back to Dicamillos. They have many other great things to offer - I especially enjoy their pizzas, but still. I'm here for the DTB. read more

Paula donut has taken the art of making donuts and pushed it to the moon. Between the amount of flavors to choose from and the fact that there not skimpy like other places that make dounts. It's amazing how cheap they sell the donuts for when u see the quality and take that first bite into an amazing experience. No longer do u have to eat a flat barley filled dount from those other places. Im telling you I never right reviews but for the mind blowing experience at paulas it's so worth the time to. Go to paulas donuts and take a bite into a donut and taste a piece of heaven. I love them all but my favorite is the peanut filled with peanut cream. I stopped in the bakery yesterday afternoon to get a birthday cake for a family member. I was not politely greeted at the counter when I stepped up and I asked if I could have something written on the cake. One of the ladies behind the register said we don't have anyone to write on it. I was kinda shocked, um this is a bakery and no one is there to write on a cake. I said never mind I will just purchase this. The lady behind the counter said we can give to something to write on it. That just blew me away that I was asked to write on my own cake. Honestly I won't ever be back to your bakery. As a regular visiting the bakery multiple times a week can't say I have had a bad experience. The lunch combo is so affordable and the portion is just right. The pizza varies from mushroom to spinach and some times pepperoni. The soups and sandwiches are also really tasty favorite soup is the chicken rice no veggie soup. This is one of the best bakeries we've ever experienced and that includes Europe! The bread is the closest thing to my grandmother's homemade Italian bread and the cookies are even better. You can buy wood fire baked pizza by the slice as well as many delicious sandwiches and deli items. Each day they serve several different soups made from scratch and have wonderful fresh coffee and other beverages as well. There is a small eat in area or you can call ahead and order to go. The service is excellent. One visit and you will find a way to keep coming back. We drive about 75 miles to visit the one in Williamsville and it is well worth it! read more

I've tried Napoleons at other famous Buffalo bakeries such as Romeo and Juliet's and Gino's....but the Napoleons at DiCamillo's are THE BEST by far! The filling isn't just plain old whipped cream between layers of puff pastry...it also has layers of vanilla pudding or custard....plus, it has a generous layer of mouth-watering chocolate frosting on top that pretty much tastes like melted Hershey bar. Basically, a Di Camillo napoleon tastes like a cross between a normal Napoleon and a delicious chocolate eclair. OMG, everyone needs to try one...they are mind-blowing!!!! read more

I decided to stop somewhere to buy a little dessert to take home and I pulled into the Spot Coffee parking lot. To be honest, I really wanted to try something different than Spot's desserts and I noticed this bakery across the street. I've lived in this area for years but I have a tendency to stick with what I know. Because of Yelp, I've been more adventurous and checking out new places! I quickly brought this place up on my Yelp app and saw that it had good reviews, so we decided to head over there instead. We ended up with WAY more desserts for the money! I got a Napolean, which was tasty and huge! My husband got a giant cannoli with the ends dipped in chocolate (which tasted to me like it had coconut in it somewhere, I wasn't a fan just because I hate cocount. My hubby loved it.), I bought a mini NY style cheesecake, and also a biscotti. All of that only came to $10! At Spot, I think desserts are usually $4.95 each. Love this place! The selection is always good and the pizza is delicious. Whether you get a slice with romano cheese or with broccoli they are all delicious. Friendly establishment with great baked goods. I've been here a couple of times and each time has been a great experience. They have great baked breads, donuts, and desserts. Bread here is of the quick ferment variety with a very very well developed gluten - seems like they may be using 00 flour. The bread doesn't have much of a fermented flavor, but it is pillowy and is the perfect blank slate for some oil, herbs, and cheese. Donuts here are also very dense and delicious. Seems to be fried at a lower temp than some of the other donut places - is a bit moister and is a bit greasier - but again, made with that delectable 00 flour that makes it chewy and satisfying. Absolutely in love with their pizza by the slice. The tomato sauce is sweet and tangy, the crust is chewy and crisp, and their spinach and ricotta slice is absolutely loaded with sweet ricotta. Delicious stuff - more of a texture and bite of a heavily loaded focaccia than a pizza - but still distinctly "Buffalo style". The shop seems to have some lovely artisinally canned items - that are a bit out of my price range - but I'm sure they are amazing as well. If you can spare the extra calories, I highly suggest their ice cream cookie sandwiches. Gigantic and to die for. read more

My wife and I only wish they would consider a second location so we wouldn't have to brave the traffic along Main Street in Williamsville to get there.
