I completely understand wanting to revamp things and try something new, but I really hope they don't lose the roots that made this place special. For me, the tacos and drinks were a huge part of why we kept coming back year after year. Those were the things that made it feel familiar and worth returning to. I truly hope they find a way to bring some of those favorites back, because after so many years of coming here, I don't think I'll be coming back again if the things that made this place special are gone. It's disappointing to say that about somewhere that has been part of so many memories.

I just wish I could actually ask for a medium rare and get medium at a food joint other than where it costs me $60 or $70 a cut. The service was good. She was pleasant and quick on her feet. The ambience was good. It was a quaint space and had a lot of charm. I can't say it was too full but I attribute that more to the day being full of sporting events like the World Cup and some silly NBA thing than an actually critique of the restaurant. This is unacceptable on Mother's Day when we were trying to celebrate our Grandmother. Thankfully, our waiter was able to clear a spot on the patio. Following being seated, the waiter did not come. I got up and asked if they could come to our table because we have two diabetic family members. The host I spoke with said he would send someone, but there was some attitude. Our waiter came and was kind, but the whole experience has been awful. We waited over an hour and twenty five minutes after being seated for our food to arrive, and they didn't bring it all out at once. My pancakes ended up having a hair in them and had to be sent back. We have since asked for a manager to come to the table 2x, and they have not come. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. It has ruined our last Mother's Day with our grandmother before she moves away later this year. Over two hours wasted total waiting to be seated and for our food to arrive.

We ordered a family pack with two meats (BBQ ribs and beef brisket) from this location yesterday for lunch to host some guests and I'm extremely disappointed. I had ordered the same meal from another location before, and it was fantastic, but this time was a completely different story. The beef brisket was incredibly dry and tasted old, like it had been left over from the previous day. Despite specifically noting in my order not to overcook it, the brisket still turned out poorly. None of my guests enjoyed it, which was embarrassing since I was counting on it to be the highlight of our meal. The BBQ ribs were passable, but they didn't make up for how bad the brisket was. Overall, this experience was a big letdown, and I won't be ordering from this location again. If you're looking for quality brisket, I'd recommend trying another branch or restaurant entirely. read more

I hate leaving negative reviews because I have previously managed a business that received a lot of business due to our Yelp reviews, but I feel compelled to warn others of this location. I ordered two, two meat plates. The meat was dry to the point that my wife would not eat it. I got to my sides and the macaroni and cheese tasted like a campfire. It was scooped out of a pot on the stove that had charred residue all over the edges. It was inedible. I will be seeing if my dogs will eat it soon so that it doesn't go to waste. The only reason for 2 stars is that the manager, possibly owner, provided great customer service and even offered to help carry my food to my car. I would strongly recommend better product quality control if you hope to keep your customers and attract new ones. read more

I live/work near by and I enjoy Dickey's, but lately it's been ... a little slow (to put it in nice terms). The last time I went, I arrived when there weren't too many people (one or two in front of me), yet it took forever to get my to go order. I ordered the three meat plate, my sides were served and I had fully paid, before the kid had even started making my plate. Now, like I said, I do enjoy Dickey's, so one slow day wouldn't get to me, if this same kid hadn't messed up my order before. I ordered a sandwich WITHOUT CHEESE, I can not have dairy, and I swear when I got to my office there was EXTRA on there. stopped by last Friday and they were out of a lot of items by 6pm? For just opening shouldn't you be a little better prepared for people to come in? So what they did have was tri-tip so I got that with two sides and bread for $30. When I got home the entire tri-tip was burnt and dried out, less than a third of it was actually edible. The baked beans and mac n cheese were cold. What a waste of money. So if your packed and running out of items how does the tri-tip become so overcooked...makes no sense. Been wanting to try Dickies for quite awhile, since they opened one up by my work, just today realized there is one in Whittier got excited and FINALLY tried it and was not disapointed at all. The food was GREAT and so were the fixins cole slaw, mac&cheese and the yummy baked potato caserole. My friend and I shared the Rib plate and a 3 meat plate and we both left FULL and with lunch packed for the next day. The staff is AWESOME! First time we went, shortly after they opened it was really good, after that not so much. Now it's hit or miss if you get meat or just fat and gristle. I guess the owner doesn't let employees decide to trim meat, just give the customer whatever comes out of the wrapper. I understand the importance of fulfilling large orders, but there was no one else waiting in the restaurant, and I was the only customer present. It is difficult to justify making an in-store customer wait nearly an hour for one whole chicken when fulfilling that request would have had little to no impact on completing the larger order. What is most frustrating is the lack of common sense and customer service. Had the staff simply prepared the one whole chicken I ordered while continuing to work on the larger order, I likely would have been served and gone on my way without issue. Instead, I was left waiting for an unreasonable amount of time with no apparent effort to accommodate a paying customer who was physically in the restaurant. This experience highlights a problem that many businesses overlook: customers remember how they are treated. Even if the food is excellent, poor customer service leaves a lasting impression. Unfortunately, instead of leaving satisfied, I am leaving this review because of how poorly this situation was handled. Management should consider providing additional training and empowering staff to make reasonable customer-service decisions. Instead, walking through the door, we were hit with a powerful wave of Clorox bleach. The lone staff member on duty was multitasking as the host, waiter, busboy and server all in one. To top it off, the prices were steep: for a basic burger and fries. Now it makes sense why the place was completely dead at peak lunch hour. We won't be returning anytime soon. The positive part, there's plenty of parking.

The service is absolutely incredible as well. We had a male server who was the most attentive and helpful person I have ever encountered without being so "in your face" about it. The food was great as well. I gotta say though, the shake stole the show for us both. My boyfriend, Daniel, ordered a coffee shake. This man doesn't really like sweets but he couldn't stop raving about how delicious it was. I don't like coffee so I stuck with my usual chocolate shake and again, never a disappointment! I love this Ruby's and the staff. It's always calm, clean, and pleasant. Doesn't matter what year I go in, it has always been a pleasant experience.

Fresh, hot, grilled, great. Portion of the salad is enormous and topped with plenty - cucumber, tomato, egg and choice of dressing. I like the ranch, it's not too runny or thick, good addition to the salad. I do suggest eating the salad quick as the steam from the chicken creates a bit of water in the bowl and although I've never run into the soggy lettuce dilemma, it could happen if left sitting too long. I would complain about the price but honestly a massive salad that can be divided into two meals if you eat like a normal human does and not like me that eats for a full family of 4, it's not bad at all. Pay roughly $16 for a salad. I got lunch for me and my coworker - total was $23 and we got a grilled cheese combo (includes fries and drink) and the massive chicken salad. Pretty good deal if you ask me considering if you to the Chic-Fil-A around the corner it's roughly $20 for just one person... outrageous. Anyway... Tried the grilled cheese and chicken sandwich on other occasions and honestly, they're both solid! Hard to fumble a grilled cheese and this one's pretty standard, pretty yummy, nothing fancy like parm crusted or something else, just a plain ol' crispy, cheesy, hot grilled cheese. Grilled chicken sandwich I assume uses the same chicken as the salad so it's a fat breast, moist, but not undercooked, spicy, well-seasoned, yummy. Another winner for me! Heard good things about their burger and I'm sure it's good but haven't tried it yet. Fries yummy - I suggest getting them extra crispy with a side of the ranch. Also, they do have a drive-thru, if you're in need of that as well! Very convenient. They also have indoor and outdoor seating, comfortable and casual. Olibella is consistent with quality, has fair pricing, adequate & reliable service, and great food!

Although spam is salty, the rice overpowered it. There was very minimal sauce. Again, my own personal preference. FYI - don't be like me when I asked if they have a beef Musubi. I had to remind myself I was not at Ono's. Beer bowl was OK. It comes with veggies as well. The beef bowl I had was a little dry but flavors were there. Teriyaki sauce station looked a bit messy and dirty at my time of visit. They redid their menu which looks much better! Spacious place with a lot of table for dine in. Staffs are friendly.
