The waiter said my son's card was declined. But my son pulled up his bank app and it showed that the money had came out. They refused to let us leave until we gave them a different form of payment. It's a touristy place that is fun for the whole family. We almost walked out because it did look really dirty with all the stuff on the floor and seemed understaffed (it was spring break 2022) but ended up very happy with our meal and service. The food was surprisingly tasty and the jokes ranged between ages of 7 and 65. The ones that were a little more inappropriate, my little one just didn't get! The greeter was rude and unhelpful and not in a funny way, but in a way that she didn't want to be there and didn't like her job. the seating was family style and very uncomfortable. Also a liquor tax really I'm not buys a gallon of alcohol only a glass. Extremely overpriced for what you get. The food was insanely overpriced for what you got, as well as the drinks too. The place is busy and waiting to be seated/ for service is expected in a touristy area, but waiting an hour and a half for mediocre food isn't. The main attraction is the servers being sarcastic, mean, and playful, and getting an insultingly funny or vulgar hat placed on the top of your head. However, we didn't receive our hats until we got the checks, and watched those around us be taken care of before we did, even if they were seated after. We watched our waitress run around handling a bunch of tables while also being the bartender, so we all felt bad that she seemed too stressed to even do the fun part of the job. This place is either understaffed or is embedded in poor management. read more

If I could leave zero stars, I would. Firstly, the food is VERY overpriced. I promise you can get better food and experience elsewhere. Secondly, we tipped what the tab told us to tip (18%) but our waiter came back and berated us for not leaving more money as a tip. Some words from his mouth were 'this is not part of the act... this is what you're leaving me as a tip?'. We would have left more except he forgot our second round of drinks... he was only tending to four tables. Also, if he didn't like the suggested tipping amount then maybe he should work elsewhere? Well... not a restaurant I was excited about.... Until I got to leave!!! The restaurant was disgusting with muck and napkins all over the floor. I think it's supposed to be part of the appeal(?) the waiters are supposed to be kind of rude and it was entertaining for our young kids at first. The food was as to be expected meager and no flavor. Several folks had the Big Dick margaritas. They were more sauce than liquor and didn't live up to the name. We arrived and stood there for a few minutes. Waitress walked by and said "add yourself to the waitlist." Okaaayyyyy. So we did that. Naturally we knew it would be a wait so we wandered the island some. Come back and the guy up front says we can sit on the patio, he would have someone take care of us. We went out. No one came. Twenty minutes passed, finally they said someone from the bar would be coming. Kept waiting. Finally someone brought menus. By now it's been close to 30 minutes. It started getting cool so we go inside. And waited again until we spoke to the manager. Nothing was offered for the nearly hour wait. We were starving by this point and the food was cold. I get it's supposed to be a terrible experience in fun but it was a terrible experience all the way around. Our server was funny and clearly overwhelmed otherwise it would be one star only. They were out of a lot of food, I get it, trucking issues but we ordered came out cold and just not worth the money. If you have never been to Dick's Last Resort you have to stop in when you're near one. The people that work there are RUDE, but they get paid to be that way. If you ask for napkins, they throw them on the table. If you ask for a straw, you get 7 thrown at you. If you take too long to decide what you want to drink, they will bring you water. If you take too long to decide what you want for dinner, they will point you out to everybody in the restaurant. They also always make each person a paper hat with rude and crude sayings wrote on the hats. For example "I take credit cards" or "It's tiny, but it's cute".
