Dim Sum World was "OKAY" in a world where OK * * * is "good enough" to still recommend and come back. There wasn't anything remarkable, but at the same time there wasn't anything negative either. It was "good enough" and doable as a place to eat. Parking was a tad of an issue at the complex. The service was friendly. I'd recommend it to friends and others if in the area, but it's not quite "destination dining" for me, 'tho I'd come back if others wanted to dine here.

We almost got fooled by the 3 stars on Yelp and hesitated to give this place a try, but we're glad we did. Everything we ordered was good with no disappointment at all. 1. Juicy Pork Dumplings $9.99 (8 pcs) REALLY GOOD PRICE!!!! 2. Beef Skewers $9.99 (4 pcs) 3. Beef Noodle Soup (add chili oil to make it even better) $13.99 4. Sticky Rice Pork $4/ea The price is really affordable compared to the quality they served. The only thing was the place is small, only 18 seats total. They don't really speak English nor care about the service, but I don't care about it at all as long as the food is good and they have all the sauces on the table. Definitely will be back when I'm around the area. When we were there, there was no one else. It was Thursday around 2pm. Please give this place a try so they can stay in business!

A friend recommended this small hole-in-the-wall dumpling spot, and we were excited to try it, especially after seeing the colorful dumplings on the menu. When we arrived, the place was completely empty except for the owner and staff having their lunch break, which made the visit feel a bit unusual. Unfortunately, we must have come at the wrong time because several items we wanted to order -- including the rainbow dumplings -- were unavailable. We were disappointed but ordered a few substitutes and decided to get takeout. While we were waiting, there was no music playing and the TV was off, so the only sounds were from the staff preparing the food. It was a bit uncomfortable so we were on our phones the whole time. When our food was ready, they didn't forget to included utensils and vinegar, which we appreciated. Overall, the food was solid. One dish my husband ordered was especially tasty and paired really well with the vinegar. We'd be willing to give this place another try and come back for the items we missed.

First time coming here and I should've took a picture beforehand, but I was so hungry! This place is a 10/10 the food is amazing ordered the xiao long bao "soup dumplings" pork and chicken so juicy and flavorful. The Shrimp chowmein had a nice kick, and the cucumber salad was fresh and tasty. This is a nice hole in the wall I wish I knew about sooner. (Din thai fung who) Staff is nice and friendly. If you're in the area definitely recommend(:

It's small spot you would drive by and never think to give it a try. Very limited seating but they were blasting their air conditioning which is a plus in my books. We were in the area and really wanted to try their Pan Fried Juicy Buns for lunch but they ran out and won't have any until night time for dinner. We ended up trying other items. 39. Pork Pie -surprisingly so good. texture of bun was fluffy but slight chew and a slight crisp exterior. Pork was very juicy and flavorful. 56. Spicy Dan Dan Noodle -sauce was flavorful, not much spice. Noodles were soft but lightly bouncy. 34. Wonton In Chili Oil -wonton skin was way too soft for my preference. Might not reorder this next time I visit.

The guys love #2 chicken dumplings and the lamb baos. We've been back 3xs this month just for those to pickup on the way home.

I been here several times; and the dumplings are really good. Brought my mom here, she also enjoyed the dumplings. The service is good, the ambiance is casual. It's a small little place but good. Juice chicken dumplings and Cartoon Buns with red sweet beans.

Ambiance: it's a corner spot located in a small plaza, there's street parking behind the establishment and a large public parking garage shared with another nearby plaza Service: very attentive and friendly, placed the order and served food fairly quickly Food: their menu serves the comfort food of bun, dumplings, and noodles Pan Fried Juicy Bun - **** very hot and juicy inside, recommend Pork Pastry - *** sweet pork fillings Price: moderate portions and affordable prices, about $20 per person

Unexpected taste of northern Chinese food - both dishes we ordered came out tasting authentic and delicious: lamb pie (like a friend bun with marinaded lamb) and the Shanghai style Chinese tamale / sticky rice. The food was good so last minute we asked for the frozen beef XLB to go, they did not have it at that moment since the cook said they have to make it fresh, however they do have the pork one on hand.

One of the BEST Dim Sum I've had! I didn't have to wait long. The Spicy ones one are my favorite! You can even buy frozen ones and they give you directions on how to cook them! ‍

    Dan Dan Noodles to go
    Alice Q.

Dan Dan noodles wes's sooooo packed with flavor i could still taste the chili oil n garlic flavor the next morning! Just be sure to mix well before digging into the noodles. If supposed to have numbing sensation i didn't have that. Also Ordered beef noodle soup. The hot brown broth was a bit greasy i just removed it before reheating and adding to my beef noodles. Ask for side chili oil. Address says Atlantic but it's actually off Floral across from McDonald's. Great value nice mom & pop small shop.

I got the spicy chicken wontons and the pork soup dumplings and a Thai tea!

Can I order (via phone, I guess) in advance for pick up?

Yes, you can definitely call and order. I actually prefer doing that because I don't have to spend time looking for parking. I order, I'm in and out.

    Do they have parking?

They are located in a busy shopping center. Parking is available depending on the time and day you get there. Or I should really say that parking is available it can be a little wait finding someone who's leaving a spot.

    Is it cash only?

    No. They take cards.

Is this place still open? I came by today at 8:45am and it's closed. I Also tried calling the number but it says the number is not in service.

Yes it's open. But they don't open early as advertised. Not sure what time they open, Ive always gone in the afternoon/night.

Do they use MSG? Or too much of it?

MSG sickness or sensitivity is a myth. Look it up. The myth was spread by a fake report in the 20s to sabotage Chinese businesses. https://blog.csiro.au/hungry-for-the-truth-weve-busted-the-top-5-food-myths/

The dim sum experience was average with the exception of the Chinese broccoli that was served cold. Usually they offer to warm it up but not today. I can let this go because I could've insisted. After our dim sum was served, I wanted to share the noodles that I ordered on a previous visit. I called the waiter & he took the order for #4 Fried Rice noodle, he repeated the order to me & then we waited. I told my friends, "don't worry, it'll be quick". Unfortunately we waited a while. We called the waiter again & inquired about our noodle order. He was taken aback in surprise. "Oh I'm sorry, I forgot, you should've reminded me". Oh boy, did he really just blame us for not reminding him about our order? This left a bad taste in my mouth. I really should've canceled it but decided to move forward. When we received our noodle order, it was downhill from there. As if we were forgotten. He returned when we finished eating the noodles and asked we needed a to go container. We all said "Yes". He forgot again. I went ahead & got up to get containers & plastic bags as one of the staff watched me do so. My Fellow Yelp Elites said they are leaving 1-2 star reviews, I cannot blame them. Everything, and I mean everything, was so delicious. One of the best dim sum places I've been to. The pricing of the items ranged from $8-$10 per item we ordered which is expensive but as a treat every once in a while and for the amount of time and effort that goes into making dim sum, it was worth it. I've tried making dim sum at home and it is so hard! Pricing breakdown: $8 items: - har gow (4 pcs) - siu mai (4 pcs) - black bean spare rib - pan fried turnip cake - egg custard $9 items: - chicken feet $10 items: - shrimp rice noodle roll I think they no longer have the tripe on their menu anymore bc I couldn't find it on their online ordering. Also their chili oil was priced at $0.98, which was kind of small, I would do without it next time. ---- The parking was really tough, luckily I had another person with me drop me off then I ordered and then we double parked waiting for it to be finished. The inside of the restaurant felt like an elevated dim sum place, things were neat and a darker ambiance which felt more intimate if you decided to eat in. We took ours to-go and it was still so good! ---- Overall: if I'm ever back in Pasadena I'll be sure to stop by for dim sum, classic dishes with an elevated taste, pricey but worth it

Perfect family dim sum experience for us…read more We took out my parents and in-laws for dim sum: my parents' very first time ever. We did wait about an hour, but honestly I didn't mind at all because it gave us a chance to relax, talk, and catch up as a family. Once we were seated, my parents were immediately impressed with the decor: elegant and cultural without feeling overly modern or cold. And can we talk about the tea kettles? They looked like literal pieces of art being poured at the table. Ordering was super easy with the QR code system, so my husband handled the whole spread: shumai dumplings, chicken feet, sesame balls, and more. Everything came out hot, fresh, and beautifully plated. The ENTIRE table agreed on one thing: the chili oil condiment deserves to be sold in bottles to take home. It was that good. Smoky, just the right amount of spicy, and addictive. Now for the real test: my in-laws. They've been to *many* dim sum places and are not easily impressed. They declared this place to have the best chicken feet that they've ever had: meat easily sucked off the bone, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and perfectly seasoned. High praise coming from dim sum veterans. Most importantly, my parents' first dim sum experience couldn't have been better. They loved everything from the ambiance to the food to the overall experience. My husband and I want to come back to explore more of the menu because there's clearly so much more to try

The good part about the beef noodle soup was the beef chunks weren't too dry nor fatty. The noodles, however, didn't taste like the fresh hand pulled kind you'd find at other restaurants but rather the dried ones you can get at a supermarket (they tasted like the Quon Yick dry noodle). The broth isn't necessarily bland but I think it could have used more flavor. The soup dumplings had a generous filling, but there really weren't much flavors coming from the seasoning. It just tasted like pork and soup. The skin is a bit thicker than what I've seen at other places, but at least they didn't break. I wasn't a fan of the fried buns though. They were fried too crispy to a point that the skin was dry and crunchy and all the fluffiness was lost. Same with the soup dumplings, the filling could have used more flavor. The ones at Kang Kang Food Court would be the clear winner here. For the price, the portions are pretty fair. The menu is very limited, but it's very carb-focused, so it's not a great place if you're looking for alot of protein options. They don't really offer much in the vegetarian department.
