My experience was very poor. I normally eat at their westheiemer location and it's fantastic. At this location the food tasted like it had been out for 2 days. One pasta dish had noodles that were not fully cooked. The chicken was dry and rock hard and the worst part was the bugs. There was a noticeable swarm around the bread.. I delt with that.. then I sat down and more flying nats joined. Finally I looked at my mustard chicken and there was one stuck to it, slowly crawling along. 15 dollars for this was terrible. Visited tonite for the 1st time. Pretty good chicken dishes and vegetables dishes. I enjoyed the eggplant! The food was not warm enough, some actually cold (fried chicken). Pita bread was tough and old. Some dishes good, some just like it's been sitting there too long. The do have gyro meat but you have to ask for it. I prefer Fadi's much more. This place is just okay. I have never been to another location so I can't tell if this is a better location but I love coming here. I heard its smaller than the other locations but I thought they had a variety of different things here. You walk in this place and you can see it's definitely a cafeteria style. Oh and you pay at the end of your meal. They pretty much have everything you can imagine possible if you ever ate at a Mediterranean restaurant. When you taste the food you can tell its freshly made which makes a huge difference in the taste of food. I always see the workers bringing out food and adding fresh food to the buffet line. I am glad they don't let food just sitting there. Came for a late lunch around 2 and they had workers bringing fresh food out even though it wasn't a busy lunch crowd. You have to try the pita bread when it comes fresh out the oven it's so good but only when it's hot. I have been here three times and it hasn't been open for more than two weeks. You can't beat $10.99 on the weekday for all you can buffet and drinks are INCLUDED, can't beat this fresh buffet deal anywhere. This is a Mediterranean buffet with many choices. The hummus was very good and I ate more of this than I should. There was warm pita bread straight from the oven and toasted bread for dipping. The greek salad was good, as was the grilled chicken, and the tabbouleh. The beef kabob was tasty, but the meat was very tough. There were also plenty of veggies to choose from. For a buffet, I am rating this A-OK. You can get better med food around the corner at Ephesus, but if "all you can eat" is your thing, this place is for you. read more

This restaurant has taken over from a small Mexican place next to the La Quinta hotel. I hope they make it because I was very impressed with the food. Excellent buffet with large number of freshly made dishes - I counted at least five different chicken dishes. Lots of options for vegetarians with grilled vegetables and a delicious marinated eggplant. Baba ghanoush, hummus, and other salad options were all fresh and delicious. Super disgusted by a shameful stunt pulled by the "owner". Went around 8:00 pm w/ a group of 6. Dinner charge is $12.92+tax but I was charged $16.97+tax per person because it was Muslim religious time to eat? I asked if the buffet was any different? The guy said "No it's just time for Ramdan iftaar at 8:00pm. If you come at or after 9:00 pm the price will be $12.92 (regular dinner price)" Such crooked business practice will never have my business again. read more

Came here even though i have heard from neighbors that is is sub par. My dad is vegan (and im trying it out for a month) and they have lots of vegan options! The lentil soup was fantastic, the cold salads also very flavorful. Do yourself a favor and mux the garlic dip and hot chili and dip your cauliflower in it, flavor explosion! Everything was refreshed plenty of times and there is pizza for the kids. I will be back and highly recommend this place. Had high hopes of finding an awesome Mediterranean restaurant since leaving our 2 faves back in Ft Worth-Terra's and Cafe Medi, but sure this is not it! The flavor of the food is really good but the hot foods are cold and the cold foods are warm! Hard for me to enjoy food that is not the temp it should be! I was excited when I heard that Dimassi's opened a new location in Katy and was looking forward to going there since I have been to the other locations many times. Unfortunately the location is way too small for a buffet style restaurant. It used to be a Taqueria that had changed hands many times over the past 3 years. The food is good, however, the selection is not as extensive as it is at the other, larger locations. In addition the place was packed, probably due to their recent Groupon offers. There are tables for four alongside the walls but in the middle are rows and rows of tables and you are basically sitting with a bunch of strangers since there is not enough room to move them apart. While this restaurant could be very successful in the Katy area, they will fail unless they move to a larger location. read more

Smaller than other locations but I came on the weekday right around 1130 and got great customer service and fresh hot food and bread which is a plus to me! Glad to have one in katy , ive been to galleria location and west chase location and I like this one even if it small, they did have a sign that lamb is only served dinner and weekends, on request I believe, if that's something you eat & carry out is 6.95 a lb, cause I got a plate to go too lol think its the same price as epheus? The food is amazing and fresh, just like any Dimassi's! It's a buffet with incredible variety of Mediterranean food that is filling yet healthy. However, the location is decent. The tables and chairs are average and more casual while the Westheimer location is the place to go for fancier dinners and larger gatherings as this location is also smaller. So my gf got a groupon which I didn't agree with. To my surprise....well actually I wasn't surprised. It was actually what I expected. I've been to the one on Kirby which isn't that bad. But this one.... Ambience: looks like a cafeteria or more like a bingo place. Food: total disappointment, serve HOT food HOT. Most of the food was cold and been there awhile. The worst part is that we have to ask for the meat (don't remember the name). The main thing I liked was the falafels but they were just a ball of grease. Chicken was pink and cold and overall bad. Now, if you just want to get your belly full and don't care about the quality of food, then this is your spot to go too. Manager was just sitting around on his cell phone doing who knows what. One star for me is its a place that serves food. Additional stars for Service, Food, and cleanliness. This place had all 3 of those things. The food was great. The restaurant as a whole was clean, and since it was self service I gave the behind the scenes staff a star for constantly bussing and keeping the buffet full, fresh, and clean. The star I didn't give was the overall wow factor. The decor and music were ehh. The layout left something to be desired. I took my family to Dimassi's Mediterranean Buffet Katy the other day. Everything seemed normal, nothing out of sort. After our quick meals when I went to pay, total seemed a bit higher then normal. (we have obviously been there before). So I asked the kid working the counter and he said "Owner told us to charge Iftari at $16+ for Ramdan". W/ out sharing the whole conversation, They are charging 16+ to muslims who are doing iftar vs 12+ to non muslims for dinner eating from the same buffet. I was mind blown, I really couldn't believe it. I was just so aggravated by the fact that they are charging more in the name of iftar to muslims. It was mare 20 odd dollars but the rational was just mind boggling.. Same Buffett line but different prices . This place should not exist or should not be supported . read more
