Really fresh and big portion gyro for fair price! Fries were seasoned well also! There were a ridiculous amount of veggies almost too much which is why I give 1 less star, almost overkill. Placed order online and picked up super easily and quickly.

It's a classic establishment with everything you would expect - the lamb is a bit chewy, the chicken is a bit tough, but aside from that it's a hearty meal and can be stretched into two meals Cheers!

The food is delicious, full of flavor. Both, the lamb gyro platter and chicken platter has a nice balance of rice, veggies, and salad. The white and red sauces are great. Unfortunately, the workers touch money (cash) and then handle food with the same gloves on. We watched a staff member who took cash from a customer grab a couple pitas and wrap it up with the same gloves. Yes, we threw our $2.00 order of pitas away. The restaurant is fairly spacious, but parking can be limited. Ventilation from the kitchen could be better. The restrooms were a bit dirty. Overall, it's a tough call on return visits but the options for fast-casual halal food places in the Katy area is a bit limited. Will have to wait until OhEmGyro opens!

Very clean and delicious food and options. Service was nice greeted coming in. Provided us recommendations once we said it's our first time visiting. Would recommend and return to try other dishes.

If there was an option for 10 stars, I would give it to them! This place was delicious! The storefront is right next-door to Starbucks with plenty of parking. As you walk in, you are welcomed by several tables and seating options. The restaurant is clean and bright. I'm a sucker for a well lit atmosphere. You're greeted immediately. This is an order, pay and be served type of establishment. The menu is above the counter area. I think they also had paper menus and of course you could look online. I got the lamb and chicken gyro and OMG! Let me tell you this is one of the best gyros I've ever had; if you do get one I definitely recommend the medium spicy sauce. It has a nice kick to the Gyro. I also got the Gyro fries loaded with lamb! Very delicious and my food was hot and prepared right before my eyes. They have an open prep kitchen, which is a nice touch. For two people to eat, plan to spend about $20-$30. They also had baklava I did not get to try it but it did look extra moist! I will try next time. I will definitely be returning. This is near my home and a great location outside of the city to get a quick bite from , about a mile off of Barker Cypress coming from I 10. I know there are other locations, but since this one is close to me, it is my favorite! If this review was helpful, let me know!

This used to be my go to since they first opened. The food was fresh and flavorful and the customer service was great. My last two visits have been nothing less than disappointment. The service is sub par to say the least and the food quality has gone to the floor. I decided to give them another try although I was disappointed at my last visit. This time was even worse with my platter. The "salad" was about three huge pieces of iceberg lettuce. My rice is dry and hard. There are toppings on my platter that I asked to be removed. The food wasn't ready in the estimated time frame and I wasn't even greeted walking in. I hate to say this will be my last time going to this restaurant. I can only spend my money where I feel It's worth it and this is not it!

Clean and pleasant atmosphere with modern music playing which was a nice touch. Service was quick and easy. Portions are Great!! And the flavors are amazing! I only wish the Combo plate had a slightly larger portion of protein. From the first bite, I didn't want the dish to end. The tropical delight juice was absolutely delightful. I highly recommend this location.

SO GOOD! Don't know how I've never had Gyro Hut but it was life changing. I don't think I can go back to my previous gyro place now. Love the huge portion, the generous amount of meat, the chickpeas, and the nice heap of salad that just balances everything out perfectly. I love my vegetables, and sometimes places just don't give enough. Love that their red sauce isn't extremely spicy so it gives just enough heat. I'm also obsessed with their lamb cubes, soooo soft and juicy.

This place might just be better than gyro king. I think the lamb and chicken were def seasoned better. You get the same amount of food for a cheaper price. They also offer a lot of different types of juices, however they are all listed for $7.95 which is kinda wild for a juice lol. Anyways, I would definitely come back and recommend this over gyro king.

False Advertisement My lamb and chicken gryo plate with white and red sauce tasted like Indian food and nothing like a gyro plate. It reminded me of Indian briyani. Gyros are not meant to be spicy. Nor the sauces they come with. If I tried this place again, I'd try the sandwich and see it resembles an actual gyro taste. Food wasn't bad but I can't give more 2 stars because I felt like I wasn't eating what I thought I paid for.

The thing I love about this place is that so far it doesn't matter what location i go to, All of them are consistent with the best service and quality. So happy I found this location so close to my moms

    #1 Combo chicken and Lamb
    Donald P.

Stopped here for lunch just by chance, really good food. Got the #1 combo chicken and Lamb, with both red and white sauce. Good amount of food for the money. Quick and clean. The man at the counter was very pleasant and the female that put our plates together was really nice. Only drinks they have is canned soda or bottled water, not a fan of that. Overall I'd go back again.

Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The pork ribs were the star of the show. So tender, fall off the bone deliciousness. Pair it with the hot sauce that they have on the side and it was chefs kiss! The best ribs I've ever had. The brisket on the other hand was a little dry and I wish it had more flavor, but the sauce made up for it. We also got the Mac n cheese with brisket on top. They really did not skimp out on the brisket. It was very delicious and the Mac n cheese was perfectly creamy and decadent. They also pickles, pickled jalapeño, and onions on the side which really cut the fat from the meat. The coleslaw that we got was okay though. Overall, it was a great experience. All the employees were nice and patient with us since it was our first time here and we had some questions. The vibes were definitely there. Will def stop by here if we ever go to Texas again!!

The place is new but not recently new, so I was impress that they were still attracting a crowd. The place was packed and busy but the host was still able to seat us immediately. With reservation, of course. Our seat was a banquet seating and when the host directed us to our table, we notice the party seated next to our table had placed all their personal belongings on our seats. We had to ask the host to ask them to remove their personals so that we can sit down. I felt that the host should have done that and not upon our request. Our server was Keamogetswe and she jumped right into explaining the menu since it was our first time. I am used to ordering drinks first and while waiting for our drinks, explore the food menu. That way, we can ask questions about any item we were unfamiliar with on the menu. Anyways, we ordered our food and they came out very fast. For starters, we had the grilled shrimp which was just two shrimps. They were not prawns so the size of the two shrimps for $18 was not worth it to me. We also tried the Rumi's wings. They were average to me. Nothing to brag about. For the main course, we wanted to try several dishes and settle for a family style meal. We had the braised lamb shank, chicken kabob and the Koobideh Kabob. Since all plates came with rice, Keamogetswe suggest we try different rice options which was a great suggestion. So for the rice, we had the Adas, the Baghali and the Shirin. I have to admit that the braised lamb was amazing. The stew it sat in was very flavorful and the meat melted off the bone it came with. The Koobideh was also another favorite of mine. Both, I highly recommend everyone to try. And my favorite rice was the Shirin. As we moved on to dessert, we had the burnt honey & pistachio cake and the persian ice cream sandwich. Both taste great but the persian ice cream sandwich itself was vanilla wafer. Different but it made it easier to eat with your fingers. The weird thing was when the dessert was served to us, so was the check. I am used to us eating dessert or just starting to enjoy dessert before being handed the check. And when they do hand me the check, they would mention that it was no rush and when I am ready to take care of it. But that didn't happen and I decided to get it out of the way so I can just enjoy the dessert. As we were conversing and finishing our drinks, they started to clear our table and even picked up the signed check or tab. It felt like they were hinting us to get up. I feel that if there was a time frame to dine with them, they should have made us aware of it before dinner or when we made reservation like how Toca Madera does. So that made me feel uncomfortable. But this could just be me.

We ordered the Habibi Feast, which is perfect for sharing and gives you a little bit of everything. It came with brisket, turkey, chicken, and sausage--and every protein was cooked to perfection. The brisket was tender with a beautiful smoke ring, the turkey was juicy, and the chicken had a great flavorful crust. For sides, we went with mac and cheese, creamed corn, potato salad, and fried okra. Honestly, all of them hit--especially the creamy mac and cheese and the fried okra, which had a perfect crunch. We also tried the brisket shawarma, and that was a standout. It's a really cool fusion of Texas BBQ and Mediterranean flavors--smoky, saucy, and packed with flavor in every bite. Overall, this spot brings a unique twist to traditional BBQ with its Mediterranean influence. Great food, great service, and a solid atmosphere--definitely a place I'll be coming back to. Highly recommend if you're in Houston and want something different from your usual BBQ spot.

We ain't in Queens anymore…read more For years, I've eaten on Shah's all around the borough, initially out in Ozone Park and Briarwood before finding a real audience in Sunnyside. Now that they've sufficiently blown up around NYC, I was a bit shocked (and excited) to see them finally come to H-Town. What's the verdict? It's good enough to pass muster for NY standards (#1), is open super late, and will likely be my go-to Halal food for the foreseeable future. Since I've only had it in cart form, I'm still a buggin over the fact it's become a franchise. It's similar to my shock of eating Halal Guys at a store for the first time. The digs feel as foreign (prices, large, clean and bright interior) as it does familiar (taste, logo, etc.). Even though I had a laugh seeing the wall photo-mural of a Shah's cart in Times Square, I did appreciate the nod to Ozone Park with the 121st & Liberty street signs. The chicken + lamb combo platter ($12) is and always will be the winner. The lamb had the same kind of seasoning that most Halal spots out here try to replicate but can never get right. The rice was fluffy, and the white sauce was easily the highlight. I can understand why they've decided to bottle it up and sell it as liquid gold. It makes every meal better. Kofta ($12) and chapli ($13) are rarely my favorites, but I knew I had both in platter form. The addition of adding chickpeas and these other salads is not something I'm used to from the carts (#2) but I loved the fact it was drowned in the white sauce with a dash of hot sauce. The latter is supposedly extremely hot, but I didn't find it that spicy. While I have to say the cheeseburger was a bit of a disappointment (overly bready, thin patty), the pakora chips and french fries were fabulous. They were perfectly seasoned, had a nice crisp, and frankly would be an excellent, gut-busting addition to any platter. I don't love the extra charge, but I hope they remain consistent with it. This store location in Westchase along Westheimer is an up and coming part of town. There are numerous Middle Eastern businesses in the adjacent area, along with an abundance of parking spots and a good amount of late night activity. Service was friendly but I do hope they keep their standards up. As time goes on, I'm 100% convinced this will be a destination for the many late night meal seekers and fans of NY nostaligia. __________ (#1) Which automatically supersedes a lot of the ones here in Houston. Just keeping it real. (#2) Is the chickpeas a Houston thing? Genuinely curious.

This is a nicely sized spot next to the Jusgo plaza in Houston Chinatown, so plenty of parking and also food options. It's tucked in a corner but should not be written off. Its a pretty casual sitdown restaurant and we were welcomed and sat pretty quickly on a Saturday around 8:30PM. We were provided menus and started ordering everything that sounded good (within reason for 2, sorta). We ended up getting the Uyghur polo with lamb shank, Uyghur goshnaan, korma chop, garlic cucumbers, mint tea, and a yogurt for dessert. This was more than enough food for 2 but I wanted to try a bunch and this is me holding back. The Uyghur goshnaan was very crispy and the filling was flavorful and juicy, good lamb flavor and nice spices. The Uyghur polo with lamb shank was great and the pilaf had a nice sweetness with raisins that cut through some of the fatty richness of the lamb. The korma chop was also super flavorful with a nice savory sauce and noodled with an excellent texture, very QQ. I don't usually order cucumbers at Asian restaurants cause I can make a cucumber salad pretty easily at home but the one here was very good. Excellent refreshing crunch and garlic flavor to go with all the other dishes. The mint tea was also nice to wash down the mountains of food I was inhaling. I also enjoyed the yogurt, it's a thicker yogurt like a Greek yogurt and topped with honey and raisins. Again, a nice sweet/tart treat that didn't feel too heavy after everything else. I definitely need to come back as I didn't even get my big plate chicken but it'll be hard to choose between all the options. I def recommend this spot, esp if you like lamb as all the dishes we had were excellent and priced fairly for the portion and current economic situation.

I didn't catch the name of the gentleman at the front but he was super easy going, professional and patient with us while we decided why to get since it was our first time. The inside reminded me of a place in Austin where there's signatures from everyone who's visited on the inside, it's small and not a lot of place to sit there's like 5 seats but it's still chill to eat there if you fit, will absolutely be back!

I'm a pretty big wing fan, so I was excited to try this place out. They have a list of their top flavors posted right in front of where you order, which made it a little easier to narrow things down. I ended up picking two from that list. I went with the garlic parmesan wings and the lemon pepper buffalo since those seemed to be two of the more favored options. I was slightly disappointed because with the amount of flavors they have, the sauces and rubs were good, but the wings themselves were not cooked crispy. They were a little on the softer side and slightly undercooked for my taste, which is why I ended up deducting a star. If the wings had been fried a bit longer and had that crispy bite, this probably would have easily been a five-star experience for me. I ordered inside and the customer service was really good. The staff was friendly and my food came out pretty quickly, which I appreciated. Flavor-wise everything was solid, so the potential is definitely there. I also snapped a picture of the menu because they run different specials throughout the week. Unfortunately I came on the weekend, so I wasn't able to take advantage of any of the weekday deals. The wings are a little pricey, but honestly that seems to be the going rate for wings these days. If I come back, I would probably just ask for the wings and fries to be cooked a little longer so they come out crispier. I'd also be curious to try more of the flavors since they have so many. I may stop by on their $0.87 wing day just to sample a few more and give them another shot. Overall, not bad
