Pricing is great for their quality and aesthetics. Reasons to hate Ding. 1. You worship Satan. 2. Someone outside kicked your dog in front of the shop. 3.You hate long lines and waits and you got something important to do. The waiting is long and the lines to order do tend to get busy but hey. The drinks are always worth the wait. But if you know you want drinks and time is on a time bomb then consider somewhere else. Other than that. Ding will always be my go to for boba (don't even get me started on their crystal boba) and always the meet up place for my friends to catch up. read more

Honestly, I've had better. Ordered the Hokkaido milk tea and passionfruit green tea. Was really hoping it would meet my expectation but the Hokkaido was really watered down, same with the passionfruit green tea. It was extremely bland as you can only taste a hint of the tea. Not sure if it's because it's new and the workers are not exactly expert at making the drinks. Customer service were okay as well. Even though it claimed to be a Taiwanese place, the workers were all Vietnamese. Boba places in the SGV have a large drink variety so there's always something different to get every time. On the other hand, boba places in the OC seem to only specialize in mostly Jasmine Milk Tea and Thai Tea and a couple other drinks, which I was getting really tired of. OC boba places that do have a larger variety like Tebo Tebo and Tra Teahouse are just too average. Therefore, I'm happy that Ding Tea opened up because they have good drinks that aren't just Jasmine Milk Tea or Thai Tea. I'm disappointed in their Hokkaido Milk Tea, though because it's coffee flavored. The cashier warned me ahead of time but I got it anyway and regretted it, not that good. I stumbled upon this place as I was searching for a new boba place to try out. When I saw that it has Hokkaido milk tea I had to try it since I love the one at boiling point and was wondering if this Taiwanese tea house was anything comparable. I ordered a total of five drinks, three Hokkaido, regular milk tea, and lychee milk tea. I got to try a little bit of the ordered and honestly it was not up to the par. My friend introduced me to Ding Tea a few months ago, and I've been hooked ever since. The menu is extensive and can seem overwhelming to someone who has never been. I initially ordered the Hokkaido Oolong milk tea, but it was the worst thing I've ever had. I asked the staff to exchange it for a lychee yakult, and they did so at no cost. Their jasmine milk tea and passionfruit green tea are also solid choices. The golden boba is sweet and chewy; highly recommended. Their drinks are very good. But one of the waiter was so rude when he gave me my order. He is tall with the black hair. I ordered 5 drinks without ice, and i still keep the receipt. They came up 2 of them with ice. I asked to getting the ice out, and he said, "If you wanted no ice, you put them outside to let the sun melting them." What was that answer to the customer? Went here for the first time last night and I was pretty overwhelmed with the menu since I am a very indecisive person. I got the jasmine green tea with lychee jelly and the mango yakult/yogurt with the golden boba. My favorite was the mango yakult/yogurt drink. This place is the only that I was going to for boba drink. And this is my thought from last few times I visited: We have a nicer staff which is more understanding customers orders and more smile on the faces (except the girl!). But the drink quality is not as good as before. I could understand for better staff, better work, but for most important, its a drink shop and the drink is the first in quality. So I took a signature milk tea, which is I feel like drinking water with a little sugar (below average quality!). It must be nice if you and your staff can make a little more drink on every cup, share it out to your on staff to try, you'll surprise on how the drink quality is (too bad!). One of the better boba place in the little Saigon area. The wait can be long during rush hour with limited parking. Hokkaido black tea, Hokkaido coffee, regular milk tea, and mango tea are all really good. They have the less ice and less sugar option, which is nice. Ok so this place has my favorite milk tea! Their signature milk tea with boba is bomb diggity, but the only downside is the long wait! Ordering a drink can take 10-20 minutes not including another 10-15 minutes for them to make the drink! Calling ahead does help, but you still have to wait in the regular line to pay and pick up your order which still takes forever. They really need to create a separate line for pick up orders! read more

For all you tea lovers out there, Dingtea definitely hits the spot and has become my new go to boba place. Must try the signature milk tea! The tea flavor is very prominent and along with the milk, I believe it is better than your average milk tea. The boba is a little smaller but that just means more boba with every sip. The golden boba has soft sweetness that adds to the milk tea. The cashier recommended it to me & since I have never tried it, he gave me a sample. I have been here probably twice a week just for the signature milk tea. For a large size, the total comes out to $4 and some change. The peach green tea is delightfully refreshing on a hot day. The aloe Vera add on gives this drink a crisp little bite makes this drink is addicting. You can adjust your sweetness and ice level to your liking and drinks can be chosen as a medium or large. This place is new and the times I've been, there have been a few customers at the tables. I can definitely see this place becoming over populated with avid boba drinks in the near future! I'm pretty much obsessed with Ding Tea. I love their yakult drinks, especially the mango and lychee yakult!! It's sooo good, my whole family loves them too as well as my friends. It's sweet, but it's so refreshing as well. Their Jasmine green milk tea is also good too!! The wait for the drinks takes a while, but only when it's busy! A lot of people complain about waiting for their drinks when it's slow, but that never happened to me. 10/10 would recommend this place! Won't regret it read more

Drinks are good but staff needs to be better trained. I ordered over the phone and got there 2 minutes later, paid and they told me to sit down and wait. Half an hour later I walk up to ask how much longer, and it turns out the drinks were stored in the fridge and iced down.... Staff was mostly messing around and literally one person making the drinks.... and i know they are messing around because they speak in vietnamese about other things. This shop has potential but the staff need a better training... like literally one guy was playing around with the ice machine while customers were ordering drinks. When I go to Ding tea milk tea, I order milk tea with pudding but I don't like it very much. It's so sweet. Pudding and milk tea both sweet.

First impression: I got the medium-sized signature milk tea with golden boba for $3.80. For being called "signature", I expect some zing to the milk tea, but it tastes like a regular milk tea with a slightly heavier taste on the tea side. The golden boba is chewy and sweet. I'm not sure how it would compare to the regular boba here though. (Maybe next time when I come, I'll try it out.) The place has minimal decorations with some plants. It's very chic. I really like it. There are about 4 tables each with 4 seats, and 2 round tables each with 2 chairs. It's a decent place for hang-outs. Conclusion: I would go back if I'm doing errands near the area. I took off a star because it has decent boba here but lacks that extra something that would really pull me back for more. read more

Dingtea's DRINKS and BOBA are my most favorite out of all the boba joints that have ever existed HOWEVER I cannot say the same about their customer service. I love coming here for my boba fix but I always have to mentally prepare myself to deal with all the headache and troubles that come with going to Dingtea. Let me first start off by pointing out how it is really tough to find parking in this plaza! Not only is the parking tough but the parking spots are tiny too. Dingtea is super cramped and small. Their line is usually out the door but do not be fooled because the distance from the cash register to the door will fit about 4-5 customers max. The employees here are extremely slow at taking in orders. I am used to the quick and fast service I receive at Tastea, Tebo Tebo and 7 Leaves and wish Dingtea's service was up to par. I like getting the Signature Milk Tea and Aloe Vera Kiwi Juice when I come. The boba here is not too small or too big, but just right! The boba consistency here is chewy and delicious! A must try when you come! Now back to more reasons why Dingtea does it all wrong... I have noticed each and every time I come here there is a real big issue with the employees getting out the customers drinks. They focus on calling all the numbers in order, yet have no sense of order when it comes to making the drinks. Certain drinks are made before others (like mine) and left on the counter to melt. This type of "method" or "customer service" upsets me because it leaves a lot of customers waiting when they shouldn't be. On one specific occasion, I noticed that they finished making my drink (it's bright green, no one would miss it), yet were still calling about 10 numbers behind my number. After a few minutes of waiting, I went to the counter and asked if they have called my number yet and if that drink was mine while pointing to it. They said no and hid my drink so I couldn't see it anymore. Fair answer, maybe the drink wasn't mine and for someone else. NOT. The drink was mine the whole time. How do I know it was indeed mine? Because after a good 15 minutes they pulled the same drink from behind the counter then called out my number. Talk about dirty. If you want to call out numbers in order, fine, but don't make a pathetic lie about it. And if you want to hide a drink from my point of view, how about hiding it better next time! Dingtea needs more order when it comes to making drinks in order if that's their main focus I've noticed on a few occasions that the employees do not pick up the phone because they are "busy". If you ever want to place an order before hand, good luck getting through their phone line. It's a real shame that their employees cannot get it together because the drinks here are so good! I will not come here again despite how good the boba is here because there's plenty of other boba places I can go to without this trouble and with way better customer service As much as I like this place, I would NOT recommend anyone to come here. I have recommended friends in the past, but they had the same issues with this place and said they have had better! read more

Their boba has the right chewiness that any boba lover would approve. My only gripe is each and every time I visit, no matter the day or time there is always, 100% guarantee a line that would you have squished so close to the next person that would make anyone uncomfortable.
