Oh man where do I start. First of all this review is only for the (Who im assuming is) manager lady because she was extremely rude and nasty, like she owned the place so she probably does lol. Ok so the 1 star is because I can only put one star and not negatives but let me say the one good experience was the nice worker girl who took my order, she was the sweetest and makeup was on point! Ok so I ordered a drink and the manager made it wrong, when I asked her to remake it how I initially asked for it she got extremely upset and tried fighting with me and angrily pointing at me, I kept my composure and reiterated that I specified what I wanted and she was in the wrong so please remake it. She angrily grabbed the cup from the poor worker girl and went to the back to what I assume to spit and whatever else in my drink. But what can you do? Some people just have ugly hearts, but they def shouldn't be working in food/customer service. While I was waiting for my food another customer came in and order two drinks and the worker girl got a bag to put his orders in and the manager lady came trotting over to huff and puff and say "get the small bag!" So the girl was trying to shove two drinks in this tiny ass bag and the other customer couldn't even hold the bag handles because it was busting out, just gross, you should reevaluate how you treat your customers and if you're having that bad of a day STAY HOME!!!! My brother and I passed by this place on Christmas and saw it was open, so decided to give it a try. Our drinks took 45 minutes to make (there were about 5-10 orders ahead of us though, and they did warn us). I got a strawberry oolong milk tea and my brother got a lychee milk tea. Their default tea for strawberry milk tea is oolong, which I've never seen anywhere else. Usually I would sub it out for green tea but decided to just try it. We both hated our drinks. My strawberry oolong milk tea had this tart, artificial strawberry flavor and this weird slimy consistency. My brother's drink was decidedly worse. We agreed each sip hit you with 3 stages of flavors: a fairly pleasant lychee flavor, then a bitterness from overbrewed tea, finally rounding out with a terrible aftertaste that was EXACTLY reminiscent of the smell of an incense-filled Asian home. How do you even capture that smell and formulate it into a flavor?? I'm both impressed and bewildered. The store itself is really cute! This was my first time going, and I got the Wintermelon Milk Tea, and I loved it; it has the perfect amount of sweetness for me! There are plenty of boba places in the area, and what made this place stand out to me was the potential "study space" vibe. I normally go to Starbucks to study, but an Asian girl can only drink so much iced coffee before it gets boring. Outlets are abundant but wifi kept timing out after 5 minutes. I wasn't sure at first if it was the router or if I typed the wrong password, but I was able to visit a few websites after refreshing repeatedly. Given that this place does have good customer service and very close to my house. 8 mins or so walking distance. I'm deducting 2 stars off because of 3 past incidents whenever I had ordered something they forget 1 ingredient in one of my drinks. And 2 separate occasions I would go and shake up my drink. I ended up finding my hand covered by my milk tea because the seal wasn't closed all the way! Now their pricing has gone up by a couple cents. They remodeled it and it looks nicer inside. Second time trying this place out & I must say there teas are on point !. The fist time I tried their Hokkaido with pearls and piddi& it wasn't like boiling point but still just as good. This time around I tried their mousse jasmine green tea with pearls and pudding & it's pretty good as well only downfall the 'mousse' wasn't like how I was expecting (comparing to the milk foam from gong cha) , but definitely coming back. I came in 2 days ago to pickup some drinks with my group and I am happy to say this place is great! I was pleased with the service as the cashier, I didn't get his name but he had this rainbow adidas shirt??, was very helpful and clear in explaining the different drinks adjustments and recommendations as our group don't really go out for boba much. He recommended us the kiwi juice with aloe, peach green tea with lychee jelly, and hokkaido coffee with pearls based on our tastes and preferences and we were all very happy with our drinks. He also explained to us that there was some holiday giveaway promotion going on which was a nice bonus. The cleanliness and mood of the place itself was very nice and good for casual meetings so I was really surprised that the place wasn't busy. I will definitely be back in the future! read more

OCCASION: I literally live a few minutes away from Ding Tea and was excited to try it when it finally opens. One night, we randomly find it open. Boyfriend and I wanted to try out this place for a while now and we finally had a chance. ENVIRONMENT: There is no parking in front of the building. It's literally on the corner of a very busy intersection of Senter Road and Capitol Expressway. You have to park behind the building and walk around to get into Ding Tea. Inside is very limited seating and very beautiful decorations. I love the seating.There is outdoor seating too but very limited. The only thing I can say about the environment is that there are many normal drivers on Capitol Expressway and many times we heard cars zoom by and makes zooommm sounds. Very annoying. Music is good. There is something wrong with the bathroom though. I went inside the restroom to use the restroom and when I tried to flush, the toilet did not flush. Ding Tea, please fix your toilet! MILK TEA: I expected better but it was the normal milk tea. I have yet to find a milk tea that stands out from the rest. All milk tea shops taste the same around San Jose. I had stomach problems after drinking taro milk tea. My boyfriend got the panda milk tea, luckily he didn't get any stomach problems. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Good customer service. It is expected from a new milk tea place. PRICE: Normal milk tea price. $3.25, $3.75.... $4.00 for the special drinks. OVERALL: I was excited for the opening of Ding Tea but the milk teas taste the same to other milk tea places. The parking is really small. Its more catered to foot traffic, especially students from the high school across the street. Upon coming here for the first time, I parked in the lot. But unfortunately they don't have a entrance door from the parking lot, so you would have to walk around the building to the street side. The parking lot and store itself is quite small in size, I visited during lunch time and the plaza itself was not busy so I had many open parking spots to choose from. When I got into the boba joint, there wasn't any other customers there. The employee behind the counter greeted me and took my order once I was ready. There are very limited seats inside, but its a good amount for the size of the store, not so cluttered. Sadly they used light colored cloth seats, which look a little gross already, Most likely from Boba spills. The music playing inside the store is a little on the loud side for me, but thats just my opinion and my rating is not effected by the music volume level. Found this boba shop as I was driving by and decided to make a stop here. I believe it recently opened since I haven't seen it before. I ordered the matcha latte. Since it tends to run on the sweeter side, I asked for 75% sweetness. It was nice of the employee to let me know that she could adjust the sweetness if it was too sweet! Thumbs up for that! At 75% sweetness, the drink tasted great! It tastes a lot like starbucks' matcha latte. My bf got the oolong milk tea and 75% sweetness. He too enjoyed the milk tea. Could barely hear the girl at the register when she repeated our order back to us. We got the oolong milk tea with light ice and regular sweetness, no toppings. It was good but it was really sweet. Went there on the first day. Long wait, but cannot blame them since it was their first day. Ordered two drinks with no ice: milktea with boba and mousse Jasmin green tea with egg pudding. The milk tea and boba were alright BUT there was ice in the drink (see the label), no big deal. The reason of giving this store two star was the mousse Jasmin tea with egg pudding. The Jasmin green tea tasted nothing like Jasmin, the mousse and egg pudding were tasteless, and the tea itself was not sweet at all(or they forgot to put sweetener) .I don't usually write review for any store but it was a very bad experience. I usually go to Ding Tea and have a pleasant experience there, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case today. The staff was very rude, especially the young woman with orange hair and glasses when I tried to order the taro mousse milk tea. It explicitly states on the menus on the counter that this drink only costs $3.75 so when she tried to charge me more for my drink, I nicely informed her that I was charged incorrectly. Instead of recognizing her mistake and fixing it, she rudely whipped out a crumbled poster she found in the back and claimed this was the "New menu with updated prices" which seemed quite strange to me because when I ordered this drink a few days ago, I was only charged $3.75. She constantly claimed I was wrong so I ended up ordering the jasmine milk tea with boba since I didn't have time to argue about something that was not my fault in the first place. Regrettably to say, this drink did not live up to my expectations at all and tasted like powdered milk with a bad aftertaste. In addition, the boba felt soggy and not chewy at all as if it has been sitting in the back uncovered for a few hours. Went here today to try out this place. We ordered 3 drinks because they offer buy 2 get 1 free. The cashier told us to wait outside so other people can come on and order. We waited for 15mins outside without knowing whether our drinks is finished or not. We order taro milk tea (regular) with lychee popping boba. We tried it and the milk tea was not good but not bad either. You could still taste the powder they used to make it. Then we tasted the lychee popping boba, and it was horrible. It tasted like diabetes wrapped in plastic. It was like a normal popping boba at first but then when it popped you could feel the outside wrapping of it. I think it is edible but we thought it was straight up plastic. We came here after visiting a Ding Tea location in SoCal thinking this place would be the same quality. It was not the same. Upon entering, the shop smelled badly of greasy popcorn chicken, there was trash around the garbage can, and there were flies flying around. There were hanging signs and one of them said "good vibes only" but it was upside down. HUH?? The drinks tasted bad like generic low-quality tea. The matcha milk tea barely tasted of matcha so they probably use powder. The matcha green pearls tasted like, as quoted by my bf, "a wrinkly sack." They were hard in texture and tasted weird, and should not have been offered to customers to begin with. Also, the toppings are $.75.
