THIS IS A LONG OVERDUE REVIEW!!! This place is a gem and the food is fresh and hot even if you're ordering before closing. We love this place, and hope they are blessed into the New Year. Popcorn Chicken Bow Chicken Tenders and Fries Milk Teas Fruit Teas They will not let you down.

Awesome drinks and tea. The boba consistency is quite good, not too soft and not too chewy. The sweetness level is just right. They also sell food, however I have try it yet. Maybe in the near future. The service is friendly, welcoming and efficient. The dining room is clean and well kept, however it was quite empty when I visited.

If you like lemon gatorade, get the Kumquat tea! If you however, like me, are looking for tea that tastes like kumquats, do not get the kumquat tea. When they first gave me my drink, I was a little confused by the color. It's straight neon yellow which is weird for kumquat tea. But as I drank it, it literally tasted like they used lemon gatorade powder and it was so bad I could only laugh in disbelief. My sister got the guava tea and that at least tasted like guava syrup. The two stars are for the popcorn chicken which is only $5 and a good amount! It's also not bad. I'd probably give it 3.5 stars but my drink was so bad I can't bring myself to give more stars. Stick with the classics!

This Ding Tea location goes above and beyond with their menu that includes entrees and apps in addition to the classic Ding Tea drinks! I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and spicy tenders, both Nashville style. Gotta say, these were legit -- you'd never guess it came from a boba shop! The chicken was decently spicy for me, and it got even spicier after I reheated it later that night. Each entree came with fries and you have different seasoning options (I got Cajun-style ) Also recommend their garlic butter popcorn chicken! Very flavorful, slightly sweet and addictively buttery. For drinks we ordered the Wintermelon milk tea, yogurt lychee, and kiwi aloe juice. My friend and I enjoyed the wintermelon and yogurt drink, but the kiwi one tasted like candy which isn't really my style. Overall, this is a great addition to the boba scene in South Bay! 3.5 stars for the drinks but the food menu brings them up to a solid 4.

Boba Drinks: 5/5 Winter Melon Green Tea - 70% Sugar/50% Ice: "Very Refreshing" Honey Milk Tea - 50% Ice/100% Sugar: "This is your last stop for great boba drinks." Food: 3/5 Spicy Chicken Sandwich: - I really wanted this to be good. However, it was painfully tasteless. I heard it's new on the menu, it's worth trying if you haven't. - The batter desperately needed SOME salt. The only exciting bite was with the slightly sauce-soaked slaw, which complimented the fried (excellently fried), crispy chicken. Angus Beef Bowl: - Teriyaki is the predominant taste. If the rice is jasmine, it's "too grainy," says my man. Price: 3/5 - 35$ for 2 drinks + 2 Entrees If I only got the drinks it's a 5/5 ($12-15$) But with the food, it's not worth it for us

Always nice ro have monster boba here although it's not on the menu anymore but I can still get that if I ask it.

Their takeout option on yelp doesn't work but you can always phone in your order. It is super easy, you tell them what you want and can pay over the phone and pick it up or you can order and pay there. Drinks are consistently good. Haven't been disappointed yet. We always phone in our order as we are leaving the house and it's always ready when we get there.

[Review #516] 2020 Yelp 100 Challenge (17/100) Ever since I discovered Ding Tea in Gardena, this boba shop has been my fav local go-to shop... what's even better, they opened in Torrance, which is literally my backyard so naturally I've been proudly holding my Duchess title for the past year or so. ;-) Now they opened shop in Lomita, taking over the defunct Yami Teahouse... right near the kids' karate studio so it's an added incentive for them to go to class because they may enjoy a refreshing drink afterwards. =) I was surprised that they were opened regular hours on New Year's Eve so we stopped by en route home from running errands. It seems like a soft opening because the boba-baristas were getting instructions & organized in their workspace, the dining area was getting re-arranged, & lighting was getting fixed/installed. It was quite noisy. :-| I got my almost usual... a large SIGNATURE MILK TEA WITH CRYSTAL BOBA (I get 1/2 Crystal & 1/2 Golden Bobas at the Torrance location), & got the kids their usual, a large STRAWBERRY-LYCHEE YAKULT WITH LYCHEE JELLY (my kids concoction from their Gardena intro). Well, it's normally rainbow jelly but Ding Tea Lomita doesn't have it on their menu though it's posted in the pics by the business owner. What's up with that?! :-| I should have asked if rainbow jelly was available since it's in their pics. The drinks were made exactly as expected in taste, bobas with perfect chew (then again, crystal boba's texture is different from golden boba so it's hard to mess up), but slightly skimpy on the boba topping in mine because I ran out way before I finished my milk tea. My kids' drink was great, they said it tastes exactly like Torrance's & the drink & jellies ran out the same time. :-) Though I haven't tried it, but what's different about this Ding Tea is that they offer snack foods like popcorn chicken, chicken wings, fries, etc. I'm curious to find out if a normally boba-dedicated shop can serve up equally tasty food. It remains to be seen, or tasted in this case. Spacious dining area with plenty of light. Service is friendly & fairly quick, but boba-baristas could be more consistent with portions. DTL offers an old school loyalty program via stamp card instead of an app, so remember to bring/stamp it for credit to earn that free drink (after your 10th purchase)! This location is giving various freebies with your Yelp check-in. Hmmm... quite possibly an incentive for me to visit this location more. ;-) Tip: Current check-in offer is a free Blueberry Popping Boba topping. Recommended: Signature Milk Tea with Crystal Boba, Signature Milk Tea with Sakura Crystal Boba, Strawberry-Lychee Yakult with Lychee Jelly.

Lots of locations and very spacious. Definitely a nice place to meet friends or just get some work done with tea. The cups looked different than some of the previous photos and also the presentation of the brown sugar. Boba was cooked through but a little on the mushy side. Service was good as the girl helped guide with sweetness level and other choices. There's even a cotton candy vending machine which is cool. Overall satisfied my boba tea craving so it fulfilled

When I heard that Ding Tea was opening in Lomita I have to admit my first thought was --- Why? There are already two Taiwanese tea shops a hop skip away from this location, one being Ding Tea Torrance. I have to admit I do like this location as it is where Yami Teahouse used to be and it's super spacious and really close to my folks. The parking is also much better than the other tea shops. There is a small lot and plenty of adjoining street parking. Just be aware there is no parking on the adjacent street next to Lomita magnet during school hours. I decided to come check out the Grand Opening and was fortunate enough to be one of the first 50 customers. The doors opened promptly at 12 noon and it was super organized. They were passing out small cups of Vietnamese iced coffee (not on the menu) and snacks (tater tots, egg rolls, buffalo wings, etc). I was worried the wait for my drinks would take long but I was super surprised and pleased that my 5 drink order took less than 15 minutes. Talk about efficiency! And as one of the first 50 customers I received one large drink and there is s BOGO free deal all seemed long. So my 5 drinks were less than $10! There is a lot of potential for the use of this large space and I hear they may have a kid friendly area in the store. That will be a plus. I look forward to coming to this location quite often.

Super yummy tea selection. Friendly staff, clean location. Ive tried a few different flavors and they are all really good. I haven't tried any food yet but the drinks are yum.

Another Ding Tea to add to the South Bay collection! I was able to make it to the grand opening day to get a BOGO free drinks. I got a signature milk tea and jasmine green milk tea with golden boba. The drink does taste very good! Definitely a lot of tea flavor and less like milk (which is what I prefer). Service is super friendly and the place is huge. Love all the seating area. I got regular sweet on the milk teas and it was actually perfect. I didn't feel the need to adjust sweetness. I hear this is a cafe so food will be served. I didn't have a chance to try the food but I will be back to do so :).

You can tell they put a lot of effort into their food and drinks. As for the ambiance, it's perfect for those who want to hang out and catch up with friends/family or to study. When I visited, there were easily 5 other groups and individuals studying here. I have a big soft spot for banana flavored items. A BIG SOFT SPOT. Banana Cream Pie Latte - this one carries the biggest punch for banana lovers. Banana cream the entire way from start to finish. Not too sweet. Awesome foam top too. I highly recommend drinking these without the straw. Foam top drinks are best appreciated when you get a nice 50:50 ratio of the foam and drink. Banana Matcha Latte - the name speaks for itself. It's a nice mixture of both. So if you're looking to feel a little healthier with the matcha element, then go for it. This was probably the prettiest drink of the 3 that we had. Americano - delicious and got the job done here. I naturally enjoy Ethiopian and Colombian beans. I brew them often at home. I was definitely wide awake after these drinks lol Strawberrynana Waffle - If you LOVE belgian-style waffles like me, then you'll find yourself ordering this again and again. It wasn't too sweet but sweet enough to easily go through 2 or 3 of these plates if you're crazy enough. Banana Walnut Honey Bread - the best for last! I really loved eating brick toast growing up. There were so many stores back in the day that sold them, and now I can't find them as easily. In fact, Caffe Bene is the only place in the South Bay that I know that sells them. This one brought me back to the past and put a gigantic smile on my face. Delicious, perfectly sweet, balanced, and finished wanting more. Highly recommend!

My friend and I stood in line for about 15 minutes, and once we ordered, our drinks were ready in less than five minutes. My friend ordered the hibiscus lemonade and found it light and refreshing. One of the best parts of visiting is being able to enjoy your drinks in the spacious outdoor seating area around The Enclave. Today, we were on our way to Orange County and wanted to grab some coffee along the way. The shop is located in a really cute center with a great ambiance. There always seems to be a line, which is usually a good sign. The staff does a fairly good job serving a large number of customers, but despite that, it still took us about 20-30 minutes to get our order. The coffee was good, but not great--definitely not the best I've had. I hate writing negative reviews, but I wanted to share my honest experience and break it down individually. We ordered a flat white, which was crafted nicely, so I would give that a 5/5. As for the taste of the coffee itself, I thought it was average and would rate it a 3/5. My wife enjoyed it a bit more and would give it a 4/5. One thing I did not like was the milk they use. It is the cheapest milk you can buy, and I personally feel that a gourmet coffee shop should invest in higher-quality milk. For that reason, I would give the milk a 1/5. Ratings: * Coffee Craftsmanship: 5/5 * Coffee Taste: 3/5 (4/5 according to my wife) * Milk Quality: 1/5 * Ambiance: 5/5 * Service: 4/5 Overall, I would rate it a 3.5 out of 5. I personally lean closer to a 3, but my wife insists it deserves a 4, so I'll settle on 4 stars since there isn't a 3.5-star option. I think it's worth trying for yourself and forming your own opinion. In my personal view, the coffee and overall experience were not worth the wait, but it may be worth visiting at least once to see what all the hype is about.
