Spicy chicken and S6. Spicy Fish Fillet. Both delicious!
    Nancy L.

Came here for takeout after the gym. (They are located around the corner from UFC). I ordered spicy chicken and spicy fried fish fillet. Flavors were spot on! The fish was very fresh and the batter had a nice crunch without being too doughy. I was a bit disappointed that the chicken was cut up chicken wings so there were bone fragments sometimes. However it was nice and crunchy and great flavors! Definitely a solid place for spicy Chinese food. It must be good since all the patrons were Chinese :) will definitely explore other items in the menu .

Stir fried Chinese cabbage swimming in oil.

Ordered 5 items from Ding's Kitchen via a food delivery app. First time ordering from this restaurant, won't order again. "Stir fried Chinese cabbage" was literally swimming in excess oil (see pic). The "House special Chinese beef pie" was also soaking in oil. Pork congee was flavorless. The "sweet soy bean milk" and "braised beef and potatoes " were adequate. Ended throwing the cabbage dish away. Again, won't order from here again.

Wow I hate leaving bad reviews, esp during the pandemic but I feel like I need to warn others. I ordered 3 dishes via doordash (see pic). The min I opened the food I knew something was off. There was this pungent smell - slightly sour and really 腥气 - I don't know how to say that in English but essentially like meat that's gone bad. Both the sweet and sour spare ribs (which did not have any sweet and sour flavor) and shredded pork with bean curd smelled like that. My partner ate some and confirmed. It was a really horrible nauseating smell. I even tried to rinse the ribs and recook it myself but it still tasted/smelled bad. We ended up throwing everything away and getting a refund from DD. I understand that things are hard during the pandemic but this was so gross and unacceptable. Def not coming back.

One Pot Dish (Dongbei Yi Guo Chu) - comes with four pancakes

Their food is solid - nothing that will make you go wow, but the flavors are decent, the ingredients are fresh, and the portions are generous. Their online website menu is different from the one on Doordash, so we ordered directly to get these Northern Chinese dishes (and they were doing an 8% off $35 promo on their website): - P1 东北一锅出 One Pot Dish (Dongbei Yi Guo Chu) - pork spare ribs, potatoes, and corn in a soy sauce based broth with pancakes for dipping. Wasn't great, but was good enough to satisfy my SO's cravings for his hometown dish. The one huge miss out of all the food we got were the pancakes that we got on the side - they were strangely bitter and sour, which is not what they're supposed to taste like - P17 锅包肉 Double Cook Pork Slices (Guo Bao Rou) - not as good as authentic, but still a really good dish for anyone who likes sweet fried pork. Much bigger portion than other Guo bao rou dishes we've ordered - P2 香干肉丝 Shredded Pork W/ dried Tofu - really good flavor, all of the ingredients (celery, dried. beancurd, pork) were good quality

Better than the reviews would indicate, but nothing here is amazing-amazing, but on the other hand, nothing is below average either. Beef and Broccoli Standard broccoli mini trees, so-so beefy slices hardly eye-opening. Shrimp Fried Rice (Yang Chow) Large full tray portions - shrimp was succulent and the dish is great for leftovers. Cucumber salad Nicely salted, cut to bite sized pieces, crunchy. Pretty simple though - could have featured more spice or spices. Tofu and preserved egg For a starter, and abundant amount of black egg, and fresh tasting, if that makes sense for preserved eggs. Tofu is soft and cubed. Kung Pao Chicken Really well done with plenty of sharp peppers and crunchy peanuts. Stir-Fried Fish Filet Another very acceptable dish. Fish slices are think and meaty. I'm also going to mention my experience with the steamed rice. Part of it was dry to the bone with undercooked grains. The next day, it took a couple microwave-steaming tricks to revitalize the rice, but it still tasted stale and old.

    K3. Beef Chow Fun
    Dorian C.

Hopped on the bogo deal on Ubereats. I'm all for good deals but I was already hesitant based on the reviews. So I ordered 2 beef chow fun, great deal 2 for $14 however the food itself... not so much. I mean it's not bad at all but the piece of plastic I found did it for me. I know it wasn't on purpose or anything but I cannot leave this comment out. Would I order again? Yes but it wouldn't be my first choice. I fully support small business in every way. Giving this place more than 3 stars is me ignoring all the yelp quality criteria that people look for.

    T5: Pancake Beef Roll ($7.99)- 3.5/5 stars
    Amy D.

I love dumplings, and was excited to check them out at Ding's. They have a large menu available in addition to cooked food in steam trays, which you can order for dining in or taking to go. There wasn't much of a selection remaining for their steam trays around 7:30pm on a Thursday night. I ordered from their menu, and tried: -T2: Pork, Chives, Shrimp Dumplings (12pcs/$11.99, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=ZFdXugiD8fVNeTZDSLcqEw&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg): Just ok- The skin was a little too thick and the filling didn't have much flavor. I wouldn't order these again. -T5: Pancake Beef Roll ($7.99, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=OfmpBK9ta4DKlFGedXh1Nw&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg): Pretty good, and the favorite out of the dishes. The pancake was done well, but the beef was dry and this needed more hoisin sauce. -P17: Braised Eggplant & Pork ($13.99, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=RK3sTihcSe10LU0IeRODtQ&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg): This dish was not at all what I expected. They peel off the eggplant skin and then deep fry it in a batter, and the sauce was really sweet. I didn't like the flavors in this dish- skip! I would come back earlier in the day to try the food from their steam trays when there is more selection. Prices are reasonable for the portions, but I probably wouldn't order from their menu again. There is usually parking available in this complex, but it can get crowded; however, there are usually a lot of cars coming and going.

    a menu of chinese food

We've been here many times for take out, and their foods always exceeded our expectations. We especially like their: Beef & Onion pancake, Beef & Daikon(white carrots) steamed buns! Priced very competitively for an enormous portion of buns and pancakes. Leek & Eggs Pancakes are so juicy and flavorful. Will definitely go back for more of their delicious foods !

Not terrible! Looks authentic and didn't have a lot of foot traffic when we went for dinner. This Mapo Tofu dish was SO SPICY and in a good way. I think I ate pepper but my mouth was numb walking out of this restaurant

    Duck Noodle Soup
    Randy F.

People seem to like this very casual take out and sit down restaurant spot. The cuisine is very casual and more akin to home fare with prices that reflect that. Tried several dishes and nothing was particularly memorable. The Lu Rou Fan featured beef that was too hard and overcooked while the duck noodle soup was really bland. The beef tripe combo was probably the best item. Ding's Kitchen is mainly cash only.

Decent customer service and mediocre food. During my recent trip to Ding's Kitchen, I ordered Chili-Fried Chicken Cubes ($12.95), Dry Fried Green Beans ($10.95), and a side of Steamed White Rice ($1.50). The chicken dish was essentially unseasoned chicken wings that were chopped in half and placed in a to-go box with a ton of dried chilies. Having ordered similar dishes (chicken and chilies) when I visited Chengdu, China, I had expected something more than what I was given -- I blame myself for not looking at the Yelp photos before I ordered this item. The green beans, while delicious, were way overpriced. It's not often you see a vegetable side dish cost $10.95, but again, it was delicious... As for the white rice, I was given a tiny box of rice for $1.50. The customer service, while slow, was okay. I visited on a slow night, so I didn't have to deal with the dinner rush. Since the woman who works at the front counter doesn't speak much English, you can just point to what you want on the menu, and she'll be able to put your order together. I'll probably stop by again and order something else in the near future. From what I saw during my visit, most people were ordering hot pot, which is what I'll try next time.

What keeps us coming back is how well they balance heat and flavor. The spice here never feels like a stunt -- it builds alongside real depth and seasoning. The Qiao Jiao Niu Rou (跷脚牛肉) is a standout -- a Sichuan-style boiled beef dish served in a rich, aromatic broth that somehow lands the spice-to-savory ratio perfectly every time. The Shui Zhu Yu (水煮鱼) is also worth ordering; the fish is decent quality, silky in texture, and the numbing chili oil broth does its job well. The restaurant ambient environment is ok and does get crowded often, but honestly that's just a symptom of being good - this place has built a real following in the South Bay. The Orchard Farms lot outside gives you plenty of parking, which takes some of the stress off a busy weekend dinner. One thing to flag: they now auto-include an 18% gratuity on the bill by default, so keep that in mind when you're reviewing the final check. It's easy to miss and double-tip if you're not paying attention. Factor it into your budget upfront and you'll have no surprises.
