This was the worst service I've had in a very long time. The music was too loud and everything was overpriced! Will not recommend to anyone!

The place is beautiful but my husband and I experienced poor service and stale food. I ordered the Enchiladas Del Mar but was served the Enchiladas Poblanas instead. I waited for the waiter but he never checked up on my us. I was starved so I settled for the wrong dish. The tortillas were hard and stale. For a $37 plate, that was unacceptable! On top of that, the restaurant adds a Cost of Living surcharge! With prices that high, one would think that that they would cover that surcharge so we asked fir it to be removed. When the waiter finally stopped to check in us, I made him aware that of the food problem. He brought me ice cream to make everything better! On my way out, I informed the manager of the stale enchiladas but he simply said, "I'm sorry. I will make sure to talk to the kitchen staff." He then fared us goodbye! First, Great food & Yummy drinks !! But terrible customer experience.... I went there for a Girls Brunch, at the end of our brunch I totally forgot my umbrella on the umbrella rack .. come to find out, i ended up forgetting my debit card too. Me and my girlfriends were having such an amazing time, chatting and catching up with one another. . The next morning, Monday . I called the restaurant to confirm i had left my items there. I spoke to Jasmine. .. she told me my stuff was there. I asked her to please hold it for me. .. I wouldn't be able to pick them up until the following weekend since I live an hour and a half away, in the SFV. She said no problem, they would hold it for me. I make the hour and a half drive the following weekend, and my umbrella is nowhere to be found. No one knows what I'm talking about.. THANKFULLY my debit card was there. .. My point is, don't tell a customer you will hold their items and keep it safe for them .. when you don't mean what you are saying. It was a $25 dollar umbrella, I don't care about the cost. But I don't appreciate the fact that no one "owned it" and no one showed accountability. read more

I highly recommend Diosa for any event. The host was very friendly when my party and I checked in for our reservation. We walk to our table and the service by Julian was outstanding. He was very professional and friendly as our server. He checked on us multiple times, and was very welcoming. The drinks we order were outstanding, and I will order them again. Julian didn't make my birthday special with a birthday shot. The manager Prisela, was also very hospitable and asked if we were celebrating any special occasion . She then proceeded to bring a birthday sign, which made my birthday extra special. I'm glad I chose to come here to celebrate my special day. Update : They providing a fake ass email. The only thing that was nice was the venue and the drinks which are good but the waiter brought our food all in different times . My plate personally was brought out late and then the tortillas 20 min later . By that time my food was cold . We ordered an appetizer and they never brought it out . The food and drinks were good but overpriced. The service from the bar was excellent. My friends plate came out 20 minutes after mine so my food was cold by the time I could eat it. Our server never came out to ask if everything was okay. I had to intercept a server to ask for a box. He said, "Your server will pack it up for you but I'm not your server" and left. Waited 15 minutes until we saw our server and flagged him down. In summary the place is beautiful, the food was overpriced and the service was terrible. My husband went to their happy hour on a Thursday night. We were the only couple there around 5pm. Our serve was really nice and he explained the menu and drinks really well. My husband and I opted to share the steak nachos and we got a couple of drinks each. We both really enjoyed the house margaritas. It's not too sweet and it doesn't have a fake lime flavor. The steak nachos were my favorite! The portion is huge and could've been split between 3-4 people. Definitely will go back to try their other dishes. read more

I sat at the bar with a friend and had a wonderful experience. Ambiance is amazing. Even though they didn't have my favorite tequila yet, Tequila Mandala, the drinks were exceptional. Spicy margaritas for me and my buddy, with an extra shot of mezcal. For food, the must haves are the Sea Bass Tiradito, the Aguachile de Camarron, the smoked guacamole and the queso fundido. The place was really nice and very enjoyable to eat. Had a great time with my significant other and the people in there were really nice and helpful. There was a huge delay on the food as we had to wait more than 40 minutes to get our food but they offered us a free alcoholic drink and a small entree which was really nice. Oooh wow! What a gem of a place! At first glance (totally judging a book by its cover), I didn't think much of it from the parking lot. But upon walking in, my opinion changed immediately. The decor is gorgeous... down to the details of their color scheme, chandeliers, mirrored tiles, glassware, table lamp, etc. Their Goddess Hour menu has fantastic selections. We got the steak nachos and guacamole... super tasty! And our drinks were very pretty AND delicious! Also, their service was incredible! Our server Dave was being trained by Victor, and both were very attentive to us. The manager Priscilla checked on our table a couple times, and her menu recommendations were very much appreciated. Although we did not order from the tequila cart (this time), the server Liliana was lovely and pleasant to talk to. My friend and I really enjoyed this place. This place is amazing! I was soo happy when it finally opened. The ambiance and decor is fantastic. Must needed in Downey. I came for valentines. As expected it was packed but made reservations 8 days prior. I ordered the Steak Arrechera and must say, it was delicious !! The service was good, but as expected it was very busy. My food came first and it took a while for my BF food to get to our table. The manager (I believe) came personally to apologized to us, we weren't even complaining. We were busy talking, enjoying the live DJ and ambiance. It was very classy of them to acknowledge his plate took longer to arrive and said it was complimentary. We weren't expecting that so that was very nice. He had the Pollo al pastor and said it was delicious. I notice the servers service different tables in different areas and at times I couldn't find him but no big deal. It was a busy day. The single booth tables are very close to each other. Overall I was very happy with my experience here that I returned 2 days later for the bar area. Arrie, the bartender was great! He took good care of us. He did a special drink for my friend which she loved. I ordered the Ahi Tuna Tower and asked them not to make it spicy for me and I was happy they had that option. I must say that was so delicious, definitely ordering again. My friend ordered the Steak Nachos and they were delicious as well! She wanted more meat, and was blown away with the taste of the meat. All the food is fresh with a fantastic presentation and most importantly, matches the taste. I love the combination of flavors. They have master chefs working back there because OMG the food taste really good. I don't understand the mix reviews, about the food not being good and a limited menu. Maybe people are just addicted to junk food and don't know what good quality food is. This is not buffalo wings, acapulcos, ola, bjs, chillis, lazy dog, bar louie people! Where you have a book of a menu with tasteless food. I do wish they had a chicken breast plate, though. I did notice some guys wearing hats/caps in the bar area, I think this should not be allowed. Diosa should uphold up to their dress code since it has that classy upscale look and feel, this is not a sports bar. This is why this place is unique. I love the idea that there are no TV's in the bar/lounge area. It forces people to interact and not be distracted with a TV. I will be coming back! We went last night. It hasn't been open barely a week. However, everything seem to run smooth. They have lot of help. The food was amazing! The bone marrow tacos were very good. I'll order that again next time. It was a bit loud. They had a DJ but the music was the same all night, like the same beat. It got to be a little annoying. The inside was beautiful. You can tell they put a lot of money in this place. The drinks were great as well. I will say there was four of us. We all got our food at different timeS. They claim it's the new way. I get it. But we were all done for a long while before the 4th person got her meal. We ended up asking them to pack her up to go. The manager then came up and apologized. He even took her meal off the bill. Got the Coco Chanel which was recommended by our server it was delicious the perfect balance of sweetness. I ordered the lobster ceviche which was tasty but a little too spicy. They need to tone down the spice my mouth was on fire. I also ordered the sea bass tiradito which was very flavorful. Would recommend both, but they both have heat. This review is based on my birthday celebration from a week ago. I was happy to be greeted by a friendly hostess in a uniquely decorated entrance. In fact, every member of the staff that came in to contact with myself and my party was extremely pleasant and helpful. The overall vibe of the restaurant was very cool. The seating is nice yet comfortable. The chandeliers are stunning and add the perfect amount of sophistication and playfulness (for those of us who appreciate the bling) to the space. The DJ was a pro. He flowed with the mood and did not dominate the room. Music amped up a little later on, but just the right amount. Overall, the perfect setting for a celebration. We ordered a variety of drinks and none disappointed. From the smoked bourbon to the Phoenix, mariposa and margaritas, the presentation and service was (chef's kiss) superb. Side note, Coco Chanel is a must. We ordered empanadas, ahi tuna tower (not much of a tower, but delicious nonetheless), the corn chowder, and I think it was the trout for appetizers and all were delicious. We ordered a few entrees, including the pollo Al pastor, the mar y Tierra, salmon and risotto, carnitas, a steak dish, and another fish plate I think, and everything tasted as beautifully as it looked. The side dishes were very good, the fish and steak were perfectly cooked and the beans are authentic, which is a big deal to me. We ordered crème brûlée and ice cream for dessert and I was gifted birthday ice cream and a petite rosè, which was quite lovely. Overall, it was a wonderful experience I will not soon forget.
