The atmosphere is nice and fancy. The food is okay, the price doesn't reflect the taste. It's a solid 6-7 out of 10. Way over priced, nice one time visit. Sadly our drinks took longer than our food, that was the first lol. We wanted a booth and they were reserved for 6 ppl or more. I have to say the ambience for this restaurant is a five star. If you want to pictures or if you just want some thing, they have some nice decor this is your spot. Food is pricey, but it is good. Celebrated a birthday there on Mother's Day weekend, and they were able to accommodate a large party without hesitation or server was more than pleasant and very attentive to our needs. I am only giving it a three star because I do feel that their fees compared to their portions are pricey. read more

It's over hyped, over priced & underwhelming. Don't get me wrong, the inside decor is beautiful. But the food & drinks were overpriced for what we received. After the hostess seated us, we didn't hear from any waiters or staff until 15 minutes in.... & that was only to ask if the rest of our party was here yet. I would have liked to order a drink while waiting, but I wasn't even given the chance. After the rest of my party arrived, we still got no formal greeting or rundown of the menu(which was all over the place..). We needed to flag down different people for help on several occasions. When we DID get help, the staff seemed annoyed to answer any questions & only did so in a vague manner. I've never received such horrible service & for it to come from a "high" end restaurant was very disappointing. I'm a SAHM, I don't get the chance to go out much so the fact that I wasted my time and money here is disheartening. In a nutshell: The drinks were nothing special, food was delicious, inside was beautiful but the customer service here was non existent. If you want a cute photo op, this place is it. I wanted to try this place since it just opened. I came in on a Tuesday night with my family and the place wasn't too busy. The hostess greeted us nicely and sat us down. The section we were placed wasn't full or busy. I'm disappointed that we didn't get greeted or approached by the waitstaff to take our order. There was another group that was sat after us and the waiter started taking their order. We waited for 20 minutes for someone to come by to take our order but nobody even bothered to stop by. We left the restaurant after cause nobody attended us. Do not recommend if they don't acknowledge their customers. Very disappointing customer service. read more

Low rating is for the food. Before I get into that, the service was wonderful. All of the ladies working there were so sweet and made the experience enjoyable. However, the food is overpriced for what you get. The description for the taquitos langostinos was misleading. We were expecting some type of shrimp tacos, but got what was essentially four pieces of shrimp on top of spicy coleslaw. I thought they had brought us someone else's order when they shrimp arrived at our table. Those shouldn't be allowed to be called taquitos. The churros foster also only came with 4 small churro bites. The steak was average. The only thing that stood out in a good way was the honey lavender lemonade, it had a really nice flavor. Visited Diosa for the first time this evening. Thought I was going to be treating my friends to a special dinner experience and it turned out to be disappointing. Juan Carlos was not a very attentive server! As far as the food, we were pleased, but the steak on the Caesar salad was very very salty. We waited too long for a dessert menu following our meal and just to be told that we had already viewed the dessert menu at the time of placing our dinner order. The experience was annoying and extended our evening at Diosa far beyond our plans for the evening. We felt ignored on a very slow night. read more

UPDATE: THEY RESPOND TO YOUR REVIEW SAYING THEY WANT TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE YET THEY PROVIDE A FAKE EMAIL. THEY DON'T ACTUALLY CARE. I recommend coming to this place with at least having ate a snack prior. The vibe and ambient is pretty and the music is cool. HOWEVER - I had a reservation, we got sat immediately upon arrival, waitress came, poured us water and then abandoned us for almost 15 minutes! No checking in or asking if we were ready. She passed by our table about 20 times within those 15 minutes and didn't even bother to ask if we were ready, I had to wave her down and ask her if she could take our order. MIND YOU - it was a Wednesday night and didn't look busy at all to be able to excuse that behavior. The food took about 15 mins to arrive, not bad. One of the guests at our table ordered their plate with a modification yet received his plate without it. Had to remind her about it and yet we still got charged for the "side." On another note, the food was decent, just disappointed. You would think that because you're paying for an expensive dinner they'd at least provide exquisite customer service. 4/10. read more

Downey, next to south gate, paramount and those areas. You're trying to market like if it was Laguna Beach/Newport Beach/Beverly Hills areas like that, a different type of customer. For example, Javiers in Laguna Beach has the same concept as far as pricing but look at the areas they're marketing. Not too talk bad, your food is Mediocre at most. Was there this past Saturday and I have to say, the place is really nice. The vibe is good, but it's definitely overpriced. I also don't know why the phone signal was terrible for me and the rest of my party, so when we were trying to scan the QR code to view the menu, we all didn't have signal. First, Great food & Yummy drinks !! But terrible customer experience.... I went there for a Girls Brunch, at the end of our brunch I totally forgot my umbrella on the umbrella rack .. come to find out, i ended up forgetting my debit card too. Me and my girlfriends were having such an amazing time, chatting and catching up with one another. . The next morning, Monday . I called the restaurant to confirm i had left my items there. I spoke to Jasmine. .. she told me my stuff was there. I asked her to please hold it for me. .. I wouldn't be able to pick them up until the following weekend since I live an hour and a half away, in the SFV. She said no problem, they would hold it for me. I make the hour and a half drive the following weekend, and my umbrella is nowhere to be found. No one knows what I'm talking about.. THANKFULLY my debit card was there. .. My point is, don't tell a customer you will hold their items and keep it safe for them .. when you don't mean what you are saying. It was a $25 dollar umbrella, I don't care about the cost. But I don't appreciate the fact that no one "owned it" and no one showed accountability. read more

The food and drinks here are not the problem, it's the poor service. We went to celebrate my friends birthday last night and I don't think I've ever had worse service. Our table was passed around between 4 different servers, we waited forever for water, they said they would come back and never came. we waited forever on our drinks, we had to call someone to take our order, and in the end it took forever to get our check. The place is beautiful but my husband and I experienced poor service and stale food. I ordered the Enchiladas Del Mar but was served the Enchiladas Poblanas instead. I waited for the waiter but he never checked up on my us. I was starved so I settled for the wrong dish. The tortillas were hard and stale. For a $37 plate, that was unacceptable! On top of that, the restaurant adds a Cost of Living surcharge! With prices that high, one would think that that they would cover that surcharge so we asked fir it to be removed. When the waiter finally stopped to check in us, I made him aware that of the food problem. He brought me ice cream to make everything better! On my way out, I informed the manager of the stale enchiladas but he simply said, "I'm sorry. I will make sure to talk to the kitchen staff." He then fared us goodbye! I highly recommend Diosa for any event. The host was very friendly when my party and I checked in for our reservation. We walk to our table and the service by Julian was outstanding. He was very professional and friendly as our server. He checked on us multiple times, and was very welcoming. The drinks we order were outstanding, and I will order them again. Julian didn't make my birthday special with a birthday shot. The manager Prisela, was also very hospitable and asked if we were celebrating any special occasion . She then proceeded to bring a birthday sign, which made my birthday extra special. I'm glad I chose to come here to celebrate my special day. The food and drinks were good but overpriced. The service from the bar was excellent. My friends plate came out 20 minutes after mine so my food was cold by the time I could eat it. Our server never came out to ask if everything was okay. I had to intercept a server to ask for a box. He said, "Your server will pack it up for you but I'm not your server" and left. Waited 15 minutes until we saw our server and flagged him down. In summary the place is beautiful, the food was overpriced and the service was terrible. My husband went to their happy hour on a Thursday night. We were the only couple there around 5pm. Our serve was really nice and he explained the menu and drinks really well. My husband and I opted to share the steak nachos and we got a couple of drinks each. We both really enjoyed the house margaritas. It's not too sweet and it doesn't have a fake lime flavor.
