I am very pleased with the service I received by Discount Plumbing. They removed the old and installed the new dishwasher, with NO damage (which I will explain in this review), as well as cleared the drain for my washing machine (which two other plumbing companies failed to do). Let me start with Nathaniel. He was the "go to" guy. From my very first phone call asking for an estimate, he was always very professional and friendly. If there were delays, he would call me. If I had to delay or postpone, he worked with me. If I had questions or concerns, he was right on top of making sure I had the information I needed. Nathaniel is the type of person who could teach others in the service industry how to treat customers. Matt the "miracle worker" is the person who came to my home for an estimate, and is the person who did the actual removal of the old and installation of my new dishwasher. I had concerns about having to damage the floor or the counter top while getting this work done. I have an older house, and at some point in its history, the kitchen floor had another floor put right on top of it, resulting in a very tight space for the dishwasher, and potential for damage when removing and/or installing. (I was also told by another company that they would have to cut up my floor to get the old dishwasher out.) I don't know how he did it, but Matt got the old dishwasher out, and the new one put in, with NO damage being done. I am extremely grateful he was able to accomplish this! When finished with the installation, Matt was kind enough to take a look at the drain for the washing machine. He was able to do what two other companies could not, remove the cap outside for the clean out. It was stuck and somehow, his magic touch got it loosened and off, allowing him to clear out the pipe, fixing the problem. I also want to mention that Matt was very professional with my 4 yr old son and baby grandson. Answered questions, showed patience when I needed to crowd him in the kitchen, and was just an all around friendly person, and despite our interruptions, got the job finished in a timely manner. I'm scared to call anyone now a days. Unfortunately, good business names, not just this one suffer because of, (not all) but poor work ethic technicians, quality work or attitude these days. I am having a flash back of service from years ago here in my home. Paid incredibly high price for what was minor maintenance such as changing out the main bathroom tub drain with a part from the van, and checking under main bathroom sink to see what may be causing intermittent drip. Nothing resolved;couldn't repeat problem. In addition, (Charlie)? would not stop talking! I thought to myself, wow, I don't need to hear about what you do, fix and upgrade at your daughters and your home while you are charging me a lot of money. Please keep working, do a good job and go. I have know missed my gym time it's nearly time for dinner. I'm a very nice person, but I have to commute 75 miles to my job at 4am, my time is limited and valuable. What else to I have to say to get this guy moving, stop chatting and being nosey, omg!! Did call the office to let them know the minor work performed from very experienced technician took over two hours and he would not stop talking. This home visit scared me from future appointments which I now have (years later) a drip in the toilet tank. Over time things need changing or repair. Unfortunately we are at the mercy of plumbers, HVAC, electricians who double, triple costs. Why not save everyone's "time" and just give a base price over the phone? Everyone knows there could be price variations based on difficulty of install, etc, etc. Most women do not have plumbing tools, time or knowledge. Today, I was not able to get a service fee quote. I was told it's no cost until technician arrives. I'm scared. Guess I'll ask around and do some more research. read more

Huge THANK YOU to Lonnie Williams for saving us. After giving my son (who has Cerebral Palsy) a bath around 7:30pm the tub would not drain and the toilet was filling up and bubbling. We tried a few things but ended up having to make a call around 8pm to have someone come out. He said he could be here within 2 hours and he was here by 9:15. We have no clean out (the plumber recomended last year when this happened to have one put in) so this poor guy had to remove the whole toilet to find the issue. Last year we were told it's most likely roots since the snake is so far out when it finally gets unclogged, Lonnie told us the exact same thing tonight. So having to explain to the landlord for the second time that there is no way our son could flush anything (toy or sock) down the toilet since he can't even reach is a bit frustrating. Maybe this time he will take the recommendation to put in a clean out and deal with the roots. This is also the second time we were told if the landlord doesn't do this they will be back to fix it again in around a year. This man was so great, he had a good attitude even tho it was late and he had to remove the whole toilet. He was very professional and respectful. He said he was going to work as fast as he could to get our situation fixed and he did a great job. He was finished and cleaned up by 11pm. I don't know why things like this happen at the most inconvenient times but when you have someone who is willing to help and is nice about it, it sure does make it easier. read more

David Parra was AMAZING!!!!! I Would recommend him and this location to anyone needing work or maintenance done. I had a major water leek in my house so I went in to set a time for someone to come and give me an estaminet and they had someone come out that afternoon. Dave showed at to the house and within 30 mins told me what he could see without opening any walls and what the job would start at. He then set to come out next day and make some small openings where the water damage was to asses the damages further. When he was done he gave us a COMPLETE job total the included all the repairs to the plumbing work and fixing the damage that was caused by the leek! This company and workers do a complete job from start to finish and not matter how long it took and what they found beside the original problem they fixed it all and the cost never changed. Dave was great, he has a great personality and very honest with you about the job and things needed to be done to repair everything correctly. He even went above to help out with paper work to show in detail all the work done to fix the repair on paper to help with filling the report for insurance reimbursement. I can't say enough good things about Dave and his crew, all I know is should I ever need anything done again I won't call anyone else! I had a fella by the name of Phil come out to my house to give me a price of installing a tankless water heater (inside of my house - a few years ago I called them to install a regular water heater in my mothers house (and yes it's still working good)). I also called three other companies to come out and give an estimate because I knew it wasn't going to be cheap. Of the four companies I called (including Discount Plumbing), I was able to make appointments with all of them but only two actually showed up!!! What a joke that these other two "companies" couldn't keep the appointment or forgot all about me. Anyway, when it came to the price the other company had a cheaper price ($2000) but I just felt more comfortable with Phil, even though his price was higher ($2400). He actually took the time to explain to me about the positive/negatives of going tankless or not and then gave me several options in terms of quality/price of units that I could have put in. I never felt pressured and Phil's professionalism was outstanding. He even followed up with me yesterday just to see how things were going!! I used this company for the first time last August 2013 for a rental house about 8 miles from my own place the guys name was Jimmy. My renter called me with a back up in the bathroom in the morning so I decided to call these guys, bottom line great to do business with They came out in the afternoon as promised and Jimmy called me on my phone and told me that depending on the job it could be between around $115.00 to $140.00 I told him I don't have time to drive out there just do what ever it needs and get it fixed. He called me back about an hour later and told me that he took care of it and that it was the lower of the 2 prices he quoted, so that is why I will for sure use this company again because I never even went to the house and if he was dishonest he could have charged the higher price and would have took his word for it, and 9 months later my renter is happy and pipes are fine, also great office help and good attitude. Just had a great experience with this plumbing company. I had water leaking from the ceiling in the garage and in another area of the house it was seeping out on the floor getting the carpet wet. With my limited plumbing experience I knew I needed a professional to come out and look at it, and thats just what I got. My Tech Danny Avila was awesome. With my description of the problem over the phone he was prepared to do what ever to took to fix the problem (and this was on a Sunday afternoon). After he analyzed the situation he determined it was the gaskets around the tub drains, an easy fix for someone like him. He said It was odd that both tubs developed this problem around the same time, so he suggested checking the third tub (that was fine) just to prevent a callback. Although I don't usually have the time to leave reviews, good or bad, this was a Must do. Discount Plumbing is a FIVE STAR, (Because of the Professionalism of there Technician), I had a Kitchen sink back up and it needed to be cleared as soon as possible. The Receptionist was pleasant and sent out a Technician within a reasonable about of time. The Technician "Danny," arrived on time and eager to take on the project. Danny's demeanor was one of a total professional, he was polite and respectful. Danny cleared the Drain without a problem as he promised to do, and In a timely manner. Danny cleaned up after himself and left it cleaner than he found it. Danny never attempted to sell me anything else like some other outfits I've used. Danny charged a fair price For the job he completed. I highly recommend Discount Plumbing and would most certainly use them again, money well spent. I had Phil out to my house to install a water softner (?) my husband bought for our home. We got several bids and Discounts was low, but not the lowest. In fact they were not the original contractor I hired for the job. The first guy came out and left the area a complete mess and the system did not even function when he left. He looked like he was on drugs and I did not want a confrontation so I paid him and called discount plumbing back. I was very impressed with Phil's knowledge and his "professionalism" that seems to be lacking in many small companies these days. He gave me a bigger discount because of the original situation. Phil installed the system and a few weeks ago and it has been working amazingly well! To top it off, I just received a thank you card in the mail (which prompted me to write this review). Had some serious plugs in our house that we just bought in January. I called at 7:30 am. The guy on the phone told me he would send some one out and they would be there at 8:30 am. At 8:30 Jimmie showed up. The plug was not a easy task. We had my daughter's slumber party of 18 girls a few weeks prior and someone flushed lots of baby wipes down the toilet. Long story short All of my sinks and showers were pluged. Jimmie took care of the problem. He was so nice and courteous. He went that extra mile. Because of the fast friendly service and going that extra mile I WILL definitely be using this company again and recommending them to everyone I know. Matt came to my house on 10/16/2013. I thought one of my kids flushed a toy down and that's why it was acting up. Matt Tried to fix through Auger, and to no avail. Then he pulled my toilet out and took it outside and tipped it over, and saw it clear. He offered to run a camera through my drain (how cool is a camera on a snake?) and saw giant roots growing into my line. They have blades to attach to a bigger snake and cut the roots out of my line. I was charged 135.00 to remove the roots, it took him 2 hours to get them all out. After he was done and gone I got a courtesy follow up call from their office. I told them what he had done. Turns out I got about 400 dollars worth of service and was only charged the 135.00. Plus he replaced the wax ring and put my toilet back.I thought that deserved a write up and review. Thanks to Yelp I found these guys. We just moved to a new place and had multiple little plumbing issues. So far we've had two calls. Phil came out and replaced the bibs and valves for the fridge and washer and dryer. Hector came out and replaced our kitchen faucet, garbage disposal, and a shower head. Kudos to them for trying to make it as cheap for us as possible, especially considering how much money we've had to spend since moving in here. Both Phil and Hector were very friendly and professional. When I asked Phil about a whole house water filtration system, he explained how it would all work with our plumbing and let me know that they would install any system, even though they do have a particular system they endorse. Recently, I had a serious problem with my master bdrm toilet with roots. I called Discount Plumbing and was lucky enough to have Hector as my technician to come and take care of it. This guy ROCKED! The thing that I appreciated most was that every time he entered or exited my bathroom he changed the booties he would where in the bathroom while working on the toilet. He explained everything he was doing and answered all questions fully. Even what most would consider dumb questions. :) When he was finished he made sure that everything was cleaned up and ready for use. The cost was well worth every penny! I had Discount Plumbing come out to my house the other day because the drain in my shower was backing up...it seems to happen every six or so months and this is the third time it has happened (and first time I've called Discount). The plumber diagnosed the root of the problem (which ironically was roots in my line) instead of just unclogging the drain and leaving. They ran a camera into my line and showed me the actual problem! The solution was to replace a small section of the line and while I was not happy about the problem, I was happy to know the cause and what it was going to take to fix it. I recently had a major water main break and needed immediate repairs done. I called several companies hoping to get a quick response and a reasonable estimate. Discount Plumbing sent out a technician and immediately diagnosed our problem. Our technician was Frank. He got right to work. The break happened to be underneath a slab of cement and he worked hard to get the water back on before my grandson came home from school. I was so happy with the end results. Frank was friendly and professional and answered all our questions. He also hauled away all the broken cement and left his work site clean and safe.
