I ordered new tires online. I made an appointment. They called to confirm the date and time. Then I got another call on the day of the appointment confirming that it was still a good time. On arrival at the store there was a sign with our name on it. We where promptly helped by Aaron who was courteous and friendly, we gave him the keys and were invited to stay in the car or in the waiting room. We ended up ordering new rims as our old ones were damaged, Aaron looked for the product and had one of his team go and get the correct size rims from another store. The bent rim was noticed by the technician Kaleb, who rolled the tire into the showroom to show us the problem. Aaron then gave us a couple of different options and bent over backwards to make things happen. Aaron made sure we knew what was happening and made the effort to keep us updated even though the store was crazy busy. We were made to feel welcome and that our business mattered to them. Also when the car was ready with its new rims and tires we got a text confirmation and Aaron made sure the technician was finished. Kaleb drove to the front of the store and handed me they keys. He then explained all the details of the recall registration and paperwork. I commended him for a fine job and would recommend his great work ethic and professionalism. Well run outlet of this discount tire chain; I've been here a couple of times and have been very satisfied with the level of service. Most recently, they helped me out with a flat (even though I hadn't purchased the tire from them), which impressed me. I came back when it was time to get 2 new tires for my car. They located a pair that met my specifications and got to work! Even on a crazy busy day, they estimated it would take no more than an hour and a half to get to me. I only take my car to Discount Tire because they have great service and quick. I usually go to the Round Rock location because they're all stars but wanted to go to a location closer to home. Sadly, this location hit the mark for me. I have a Jeep and went in for my tire rotation and had told the guy that checked me in that I wanted a five tire rotation, which he said was fine. Well, he didn't relay that same information to the guys changing my tires so when the gentleman came up to me and told me my car was almost done I had asked him if he did do the spare tire and he was surprised and told. He said it was fine but I noticed that they didn't check my spare tire like the other four before putting it on the car so now I have one tire that has slightly a lower tire pressure and the tire that they put on the back of my car as my spare has a nail in it on the very top. You're telling me they didn't see that? It's plain is day so now I have to go back and have this tire looked at. I used to love Discount Tire because their service and prices were great, but two years ago, since Sydney Bergeron left as manager, things have gone from great to bad. I do not understand them encouraging people to make appointments, which I do EVERY time, If it makes zero difference on when they will actually get your car in. The last three times I have been there for appointments, it has taken them an hour to get my car into the bay, EVEN for simple tire rotations, which take 15 minutes. I pay $1200-$1300 every time I buy tires there and expect the service on those tires to be stellar. Every time I am there, I see walk ins get service before I do; she who has an appointment and am on time. I'm also tired of being oversold on products I don't need or having a ten minute conversation about something that isn't an issue at today's appointment (today's sales guy told me that my lug nuts would more than likely get stripped and need replacing and then followed that up by, not an issue today). Service has gone way down. So sad. read more

Amazing. Decided to give a review and it really pains me to give such a great tire shop such a terrible rating/review. With covid in mind, I understand. Discount is extremely busy! People are out of work extra time and money. The time is now to buy tires. The reason for this poor review is because of what happened today. I'm coming in for a repair for 1 tire. I work Construction and have 2 nails in 1 tire. I came today at 8am checked in. I was told there were 5 people ahead of me. About 30 - 45 min wait time. Not to terrible. I realize that's an estimate, and there are people with appointments. 2 Hours later, I'm still waiting. People who have arrived without appointments have been checked in and have rolled into the bays. I went and asked the guy who checked me in what spot in line, he doesn't know. We check the computers inside, no record. I've been waiting 2 hours for nothing they never checked me in. Thankfully they put me very next in line. But even being busy such a simple mistake is really annoying. Please come and get tires, and hopefully not have such a terrible experience. read more

I have a 2016 GMC Sierra 2500 4 Dr Crew Cab 4x4. I made an appointment for 4 new tires a week ago. This appointment went smoothly and I was happy. The next morning I noticed that one tire was 14 pounds low. I went to the nearest gas station to put in air and noticed that the center cap was missing. It either was never placed back on or was put on loosely. Since I'm out of town the first 3 days of the week, I made an appointment online to return to Discount Tire. I arrived today and Brian stated that I didn't have an appointment. After showing him the confirmation email, he just stated "that's weird". I want to start this review by saying like any business I frequent, I give a business one chance to "wow" me.. or even just do what I have paid them to do. I had a slow leak in my right rear tire, it was "unfixable" so I had to order a new tire. I was prepared for that. I was almost expecting it (ever notice that less and less tires are fixable lately?) Anyways, I dropped the tire off on Monday afternoon with the expectation from them that it would take 1-3 days to deliver.. I called Friday 3pm to find out if my tire had been repaired. the nice person said yes.. I asked.. how long had my tire been repaired for? Was it repaired just five minutes before? No, it was 2 days before... So they had my tire fixed for 2 days and hadn't called me.. I asked, whos responsiblity is it to find out if the tire is fixed? The nice person on the phone apologized, but only because he couldn't explain what had happen. When I arrived to get my tire, and I explained I was not really happy with the the way everything had gone, they tried to upsell me "tire certificates" for an additional $54 dollars.. I let them know that I wasn't really happy with the how they handled any of this and why would I then give them more of my business.. No F's given... which was upsetting.. I get tires and wheels from discount for a lot of my vehicles. Most recent a nice set of 18" wheels with 35's for my Jeep. Two of the wheels got scratched from the install process but it wasn't a problem. They replaced the two wheels and just like that I was good to go. So just a few days ago I ordered a set of tires, for one of our other cars, over the phone and when I went to shop pick them up, they were the wrong tires. The right brand, pretty close to what I wanted, but not the super sport. And Again it wasn't a big deal, Brandon took care of it and the correct tires were ready to pick up the next day. Now that's good customer service. Easy to deal with, no Matter who was at fault, like me not giving the correct tire number on the phone, or them scratching a wheel. Just straight forward good guys! Shouldn't have to put any stars. Will NEVER come here again. They forgot to put back caps on tires the first time. When called and told them they say oh yeah, I see it here and said to bring it back after the weekend. Which we did not, we brought it right back. Who would tell their customer to leave their car like? The second time they forget to put back the wheel locks. We have to order them from the Cadillac and schedule service at the dealership because all the locks now need to be changed. Discount tire says they will reimburse. When we bring it back to get the tires at 1:00 they say it will be ready by 3-3:30. We come back up between that time and the truck hasn't moved. We call 30 min before closing to check and they say yes it's good to go. On the way home we notice one of the tires PSI says 0. We call and they say to just drive it and it should reset. Really?! So we turn around and bring it back. Upon leaving we have a package we need to drop off at the post office. Someone at this place opened it! This place is a joke. read more

I have been a Discount Tire customer for over 20 years and this afternoon I had a rather urgent situation, a flat tire. I did not know if I could get home so I went to Discount Tire and arrived about 5:30 pm. I was told they could not get to it until around 9:00 pm. I wasn't pleased but I did not have much choice. I went to get something to eat and while I was eating I got a call from Discount Tire at 6:11 pm telling me they were not going to fix it tonight. I went for new tires and found out 10 days later that I had been driving around with one set at 51 psi and the rest at 36. I went back to get it adjusted and the guy said they set their gauge and it automatically lowers or increases the psi to that number, so he didn't think they did it. Well they were the only ones messing with my tires, so they for sure did it. Apparently the gauge was set for 51 for the previous vehicle and they didn't notice until the 2nd tire and didn't bother to redo the first. Not going back here. read more

I have been coming to this discount tire location for the past two years and I've been generally happy with my service. I was honestly a little upset though when my car was finished early this morning and I didn't get a call or anything all day. I was already having a bad day and realizing that I had to inconvenience other people to get me around when my car was sitting there waiting for me was frustrating. They had my number and I specifically asked them to call me when it was done. The reason that I am giving them five stars though is because they offered me something complementary as repayment for the inconvenience. I didn't yell at anybody or make any demands, but a member of the staff was observant enough to detect my frustration and went out of his way to show that I was valued as a customer. So I give them five stars for always providing me good service, and for helping out beyond just saying sorry. This is how you keep a customer and get great reviews. This place gets honestly way too busy. Please make plans to arrive at least 30 mins in advance. You need to get there early because you may end up unlucky like me and not find ANY PARKING. This establishment needs a better check in method as well for appointments. Ever have to wait 20 mins to get checked in? Well you may here! After I went in circles waiting to find parking, I was checking in for my appointment and there were 4 families in front of me already and the phone kept ringing, causing everyone at the front desk to take forever to reach me. Like, I love the company and all but come on. What's the point of making an appointment if you won't get checked in on time and have to wait behind walk ins? The employees though are fantastic and definitely know what they're doing. I had an Alex check my tires and practically give me a lesson on tires as I waited! Loved it. He made sure to give my tires and vehicles the attention they needed - a 5 star service! In the end, I wanted to be petty and give this location a 1 star for the wait and chaos, BUT it's not their fault they're so popular because they KNOW what they're doing. When you go to a Tire shop to have a flat fixed and are being harassed into buying windshield wipers, warranties on existing tires (already covered) is bull. This guy is perfect example of Generation Z at its finest. Asked him to stop with the bullshit and fix the tire and he continued on and on with his manger right behind his. I lost my shit and yelled out to shut your fucking mouth. He continued to run it claiming he is not runnin it over and over. What an ass. I left a giant detailed review on discount tire form site. Trust me do not waste your hard earned money here. Pay the extra 10% at Firestone or National Tire and Battery or direct dealer of tires. 1 you will be respected 2 you won't have to wait 4 hours for a flat to get fixed 3 you won't be harassed in to buying windshield wipers. WARNING - I'm not one to complain but this was serious and potentially deadly, so I must share. I will preface this by saying I am a long time Leander Discount Tire customer (10 plus years) and have been pleased with them until now. . . . I made an appointment to get a flat tire fixed on April 4. 2022. The salesman was kind and he ended up selling me two front tires for my 2006 Honda Accord and that was all fine. However, what happened after the sale was not. This was pure negligence by Discount Tire. Less than 2 months later on May 17, 2022. I was on my way to my daughter's house in Pflugerville from a meeting I had in Austin. On the highway, I started to hear a kind of rumbling/rubbing/dragging sound. It's an old car but its well taken care of. My check engine light was not on. So, my first thought then went to maybe a transmission issue or something got caught under the car and I just needed to get home and have it checked out. I slowed down on the highway and got through the business area of Pflugerville. By then I had lowered by speed way below the speed limit, but when I got onto Pfennig Lane nearing my daughter's home the whole driver side tire (rim included) pops off and flew off my car rolled across the street and up a small hill and back toward the street. There were no lug nuts left holding the tire! Fortunately, it was late evening (9:30ish) and there were no families out walking or other cars on the street, or it could have been an ugly seen. Just imagine what could have happened if I was on the highway at a high rate of speed and the tire popped off. I could be dead and others on the road could be seriously injured or dead too . . . I called a tow truck driver, and he was kind enough not to want to cause any further damage to my car and offered to pull lug nuts from the other tire to be able to roll the car up to the tow bed. In doing so he noticed/showed me that the passenger side tire was also missing lug nuts and the others were loose. . . . I then filed a claim with Discount Tire on May 18th. It took them 3 weeks to finish their "Investigation" (unacceptable) and then only to deny my claim because they found no proof that it was their fault. "Seriously, I call bull sh*t", they didn't do their job, they didn't tighten the lugs nuts and they didn't double check for quality control and Discount Tire refuses to take responsibility. Discount's negligence caused body damage to my car, I had to pay out of pocket cost for a 3-weeks car rental; pay the mechanic to make sure my car is safe to drive and replace all the missing lug nuts. None of this would have happened if they would had done the job right the first time. Never in a million years would I had thought the cause of all the weird noise came from the new tires I had just bought. I don't know if anyone else has had this same issue so just be careful and now warned that you may need to be your own quality control. read more

I went in yesterday and noticed right off the bat that they were very busy. All I needed was a new lug nut remover because for some reason the person that last used it elsewhere, when I got new tires split the old one. I stood in line about a minute and ask the person behind the counter if they had one like the old one I showed him. He said I am sure we do. A couple of minutes later another man came out with it. His name was Faron. He walked out to my vehicle to make sure it was the right size which it was. He told me, just keep it. I was so thankful. I needed a little faith restored in humanity. Came in to have my tire pressure checked. Ryan took care of us promptly but had to explain that one tire was so low that their machine would not allow it to be inflated because the low pressure indicated a problem that could cause the tire to be unsafe. I pulled into the parking lot and hooked up my little compressor. When Daniel saw what I was doing he came to look at the tire. He was genuinely concerned about my safety and told me they do free repairs when possible and told me they could do it for me quickly. I told him I had not purchased the tires there. He said it did not matter. He had me pull into the shop right then. It had a nail in the tire. Caesar fixed it and got it remounted quickly. All of this took only about 30 minutes start to finish and they did it all for free! I watched all of the workers while I was waiting. On Monday I woke up to a flat tire on my mower so I inflated it mowed couple yards and it went flat again so I took it to Discount Tire in Leander to get the hole fixed. I dropped off the trailer and the mower and went and mowed a couple yards I called back to see what the timeframe was for the repair and they told me that it was done. So I went back to pick it up and it was there fixed ready to go I went to pay and the guy told me that they did it at no charge. I was flabbergasted, I know that right now times are tough for a lot of companies and they are struggling to make the money they normally do. This gesture by DT was awesome.
