I received a call from Discount Tire informing me the tires I ordered had already arrived. Luis, on the phone, informed me that they weren't busy. Surprising for a Saturday morning. He said if I brought my car in, they could change my tires in about half an hour. Once I got there, Nico attended me throughout the tire change. He came to my car with me and helped me look for my tire keys, which took forever to find. He was extremely patient and helpful. The Continental tires I bought online were reasonably priced and ready for me quickly the following day. I would come here for tire change any day. A couple of days after the tires were installed, I noticed an odd vibration while driving, so I called DT and asked if anything they did could have caused the vibration. They said it didn't sound like a tire issue, so I drove to the Azle DT location, and that one assured me this was not a tire problem. Long story short, I ended up at a dealership to figure out what was happening. They were stumped (for 6 weeks) and finally determined that the tires were larger than recommended - a point that DT Lewisville neglected to mention when suggesting available options. I placed an order for 4 tires on Tuesday with the assurance that they would be at the Lewisville, TX location within 24 hours. Just to be safe, I made my appointment online for Friday at 11:15. I received a reminder for my appointment on Thursday and Friday morning. I took off an hour from work and arrived at 10:45 on Friday only to be told they didn't have my tires. When I asked why nobody bothered telling me about this, the guy at the register said they would only call to tell me that they did have the tires and to confirm my appointment. I explained that that is a crap business model and they should have reached out by phone, email, or text to let me know not to come in. He then told me they could have my tires in a couple of hours (why didn't they do that to begin with?!?). I left and came back at 1pm (taking another hour off work) and they told me they only had 2 tires. They then sent the manager out to find 2 more matching tires. So I'm out over 2 hours from work and this shop did absolutely nothing to make things right. UPDATE: Discount Tire Customer Care and the local store manager (Lucas) reached out to me to listen to my concerns. Lucas took personal responsibility for the actions of his crew (which is rare!) and ensured that his crew would be retrained on the mis-steps that occurred with my tire purchase. They made everything right and I would be happy to shop here again! read more

UPDATE: I took my 1983 Chevy C10 into Discount Tire in Lewisville to get four new tires installed. I was very pleased with the visit. All the details that I asked to be done were completed with no issues. I was also was asked my preference of white letters outside of the tire or inside. I was greatful they asked before they installed the tires. All the employees were very professional and observant of the job and my truck. THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! I got an oil change down the street at NTB. I came in for ONLY an oil change. They checked my tires and told me there was cracks on all four tires. I knew about the cracks and they've been there for awhile. I was going to replace them in upcoming week. They tried scare tactics on me so I would buy tires from them right away. They were going to sell me their worse set of tires for $350. Good thing I'm not stupid and got on my phone to look up discount tires for tires. I booked my appointment for next day and left NTB. On the way home, I realized Discount Tires was down the street from NTB!!! I decided to go in to seek their advice if I can wait for the next day. It was 5:40 and they close at 6. I didn't want to stay and make the guys work later. They told me they still take customers till 6 and that they can replace my tires right away. In the entirety of my life, I've always used Discount Tires. Now, I use to hate waiting because I always went to the one in Kingwood where I used to live. They always treated me well but at Kingwood, service would just be slow. No problem, I was use to it. I'd be the fifth person in line and walk out 2.5 hours later. Not here. This location has you out in a jiffy. I woke up a bit late and got there at 8:05, which at the Kingwood location was far too late if you weren't the first person. I used to have to be there at 7:30am in the morning just to leave by 8:45am. I was just about the 8th or 9th person in line, dreading what would be the next 3-4 hours. I thought I would just walk over to IHOP because I was so used to waiting for forever, might as well grab breakfast. But then 10 minutes later the line totally disappeared and I was already talking about replacing my front tires! The guy who serviced me, I think his name is Benjamin-- super friendly guy! The service here is great and they want to help. Anyways, they got me in and out within 45(!!!) minutes. Replaced, balanced and rotated my tires. Like holy hell, that's unbeatable. I can't rave about replacing your cars anywhere else. It doesn't get quicker than this at this price. Maybe Dallas just does it better than Houston when it comes to tires. Absolutely love their service here and I'll always be a loyal customer however Mr. Jacob was not happy about checking my tire pressure when I pulled up this afternoon. He rolled his eyes as he approached my car and was super annoyed when I asked him to check all my tires because I wasn't sure which one was low. I originally went to the Discount Tire by my house for a tire rotation and air pressure check. The guy discovered that one of my tires were worn and would need to be replaced soon. Since they didn't have my tire in stock, they referred me to this location. When I walked inside, there were about six customers in line and a few waiting in the lobby so I already knew it was going to be a wait. The store manager really kept the line moving and he apologized to every person he assisted for the wait. I gave the manager my name and phone number and explained I needed to have a tire replaced and my tires rotated. I gave him my keys, grabbed a complimentary bottle of water and sat in the lobby. If you are not familiar with this location and find yourself starving, walk next door to IHOP and have a bite to eat while your car is being serviced. I wasn't hungry but I'm prepared if I need to come back in the future. My car was ready in about 45 minutes less than half the time so I was excited about that. Very friendly folks at this location. A very long line when I got in, but they had it moving quickly. Due to the volume of people there, I had to wait a while before my car was even in the bay, but they have comfy seats - they at least don't have you standing in line all day. I passed the ASE certification test for suspension and steering - so I know how all the gizmos work that they use and when I was taking automotive classes a few years ago, I used all the equipment they use and rotated my own tires, fixed flats, replaced tires, balanced my tires, etc... so I know exactly what I'm looking at when I watch them work. I know what can be done wrong and how it should be done right and they do what they do very, very well. They rotate the right way, and they are careful to tighten lug nuts in the star pattern. While they use an impact wrench to get the lug nuts back on, they use a torquing bit that stops the wrench once it gets to the right torque setting. I've had other shops, like Sears, so over-torque my lug nuts, that I couldn't get them off when I had a flat tire, even with an X-shaped tire iron - and even Courtesy Patrol nearly dislocated their organs taking them off. Ever since that last experience with over torqued lug nuts - in which one of the bolts was so stripped, it was later unusable, I only go to Discount Tire for my tires. I've been to this location two or three times for tires. They are always professional, courteous and competent. read more
