Local gem in Mammoth with hearty portions and deliciousness all around. Ordered the triple grilled cheese sandwich (barely fit in the box it was so big!) with a side of home made mac n cheese. The pesto chicken panini was also huge, had fresh greens, a whole avocado, homemade pesto, on fresh bread. Came with a side garden salad that had fresh raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, and fresh spinach/mixed greens. We all fought over the salad it was that good. Also ordered the pork bahn mi which was spicy goodness on fresh French baguette, kim chi, slaw, with the same garden salad. Last order was a homemade veggie burger that was massive with a fresh fried egg on a fresh and soft ciabatta roll and a garden salad on the side. This is the only spot in town right now that has all five star reviews which is what made us choose to try it out. Saw the lemon curd donuts on the way out and couldn't resist- not disappointed there either. Fluffy donut filled with fresh whipped cream and lemon curd and dusted with powdered sugar. Don't know how we had room to eat those but miraculously we did! Has indoor and outdoor seating- the staff is wonderful and accommodating for food allergies/restrictions. Delish! Found this spot while looking on Yelp and was totally impressed. Cute little location in town. The food and service really stood out--sampled the Mac and cheese brisket sandwich (delicious!!) and the Goat Cheese Salad. This place is AMAZING!! Good quality ingredients, well thought out menu, and fantastic flavors. I had the portobello burger. It was fantastic. Different flavors from the pesto, topping, etc all blended together perfectly. Even the bun was perfection. Grilled cheese sandwich was made the way a grilled cheese sandwich should be made- three different types of good quality cheese which made for a great flavor without the annoying greasy mess that happens at most places. The food quality and flavors puts it on par with many high end restaurants in LA at a fraction of the price. The burger was $12 and had I been in a different restaurant and paid $25 for it, I would still have been pleased. This is a definitely must visit. They have great coffee and some amazing looking cinnamon buns that will be on my next visit. read more

This is arguably the best food - quality and taste wise - in Mammoth. Tina is incredibly sweet and puts a lot of thought and creativity into all of her dishes. The prices are comparable to places nearby but the quality of ingredients really sets everything above and beyond and apart from other restaurants. We were visiting from out of town and got the breakfast sandwich (for dinner!), bison burger, bahn mi sandwich and a lemon curd donut. The main dishes came with a fresh side salad and everything was so amazing we didn't even stop to take a picture! This is the kind of business you feel great about supporting. I am continually blown away by what comes out of that kitchen- curry chicken sandwich, bison burger, portobello dip (pic) to name a few. One thing that is obvious when eating from dish bistro is that each dish was thoughtfully crafted and prepared by a chef. There is something for everyone here - from American comfort food to vegetarian food to dishes inspired by other cuisines like Mediterranean and Indian. When I have visitors, I either cook for them or I send them to dish bistro. Those are the only two options. What a great addition to Mammoth Lakes! I remember when Tina had a small operation down in Bishop and the menu/food always looked so great but I never had a chance to try it. Now in the heart of a pandemic she took the plunge and opened her own storefront. Unfortunately you cannot go inside to see the remodel but that's ok because you can still get the food. Today was my first time stopping by and it was such a nice meal. I had the portobello mushroom sandwich and the Goat and Greens salad. The sun-dried tomato hemp pesto on the sandwich is killer! The food was well seasoned and fresh. The goat and green salad is enough for two people to share. My only critique is it needs more dressing to come with it. Tina has created a thoughtful menu of delicious foods from far and wide that you really can't find anywhere else in town, and the items I have tried were DELICIOUS! I have had the the butter chicken scoops and the Greek lamb burger. My wife had the veggie burger and the caesar salad. Prices are very reasonable and everything we had was delicious. Also the service was very friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend checking them out for lunch or dinner next time you are trying to figure out where to eat in town. Only seats about 20 inside and when the weather gets warmer they have some outdoor seating that will be nice. I would recommend reservations. Food was amazing. Had the butter chicken and mushroom ravioli. Both came with a generous dinner salad with spinach mix, radish, tomato, blueberries, strawberries, carrots, cucumbers with a balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Visited this place after seeing good reviews on yelp. The place as such was small as the owner mentioned they are in process of renovating the store. Had cozy setting but felt needed little bit of maintenance. We ordered Veggie burger, loaded grill cheese sandwich and falafel waffle salad. All of these came with generous amount of salad. My mouth is still watering thinking of melt in mouth loaded grill cheese sandwich. Veggie burger was also good and not too dry. Falafel waffle salad however was little dry for our liking. Tried to eat there several times during their posted hours over a span of several weeks, but they were always closed for one reason or another (Blues weekend, Village Fest, short staff, etc). 5-stars all around! Food was amazing! We started with a salad with greens, carrots, pears and berries. Next was the most delicious mushroom soup. This was followed by the incredible bison burger and lamb curry with warm pita. Our dinner could NOT have been better! Plus, it's such a cute cozy spot with pine cone and fairy light garlands. So happy we found this place. If we lived in mammoth, we would probably come here every other day!!!! Incredible food, incredible atmosphere, fantastic and gracious owner and staff. The menu is so creative, still cozy yet fresh. All original, not just standard menu items, yet all still with a familiar feel. Many items feature a fusion of different cuisines. This place hits five stars on every metric.
