    Some really mediocre Mexican.
    Kevin C.

Not sure why I keep giving this place a chance other than that I live two blocks from it. The only thing this place ever had going for it was the salsa bar and their greedy ass owners used covid as an excuse to get rid of it. I grew up in Cal and Colorado and adore Mexican food. I would be down here 3x per week if they didn't suck so much. Instead I get reminded every 6 months or so why I hate this place. Dry ass, bland tacos that smack of a Midwestern housewife's taco night. And despite getting rid of the salsa bar their employees almost never remember to include the two meager tablespoons of salsa you're supposed to get. So make sure to check.

Meh is the word that comes to mind. Just a good place to perhaps grab some lunch with coworkers or by yourself or to bring the kids and enjoy a light meal. I was very interested in visiting this place for a while. My expectation was not my reality. I spent about 30 bucks on a chicken quesadilla, soft drink, and three fish tacos and honestly it was just OK for me. I was a little disappointed with the quality of the food. They offer free parking that's a plus. I don't think I'll return.

Absolutely delicious food! Got the three tacos and they were the perfect amount for dinner. Really like the self ordering computers as it allows more time for browsing the menu and making a decision. Staff was friendly and service was quick. Good seating options and bathrooms were clean.

Burrito that I found completely ripped down the middle after opening the foil

Could have just been my experience, but I basically paid 20$ for a burrito and chips and got an unseasoned chipotle at best. Chips were nothing special at all tasted like the bag from the grocery store. Honestly I would have just taken the L and not gone back but the reason for the review was my burrito tortilla clearly ripped as the server was wrapping it and they just didn't care and closed it up in the foil anyway.. anyways portion size was good and the place was clean ‍

The service took a long time but it was packed so I understand. When I got my food it was medium heat and they completely forgot my pork in my bowl my friend had to put chicken in my bowl because I didn't have any meat at all they really think I am vegetarian and the hot sauce was good not that much of a kick. My churro was hard but it was hot. The place was clean and the vibe was vibing. It's was very good but I would not go out of my way to eat here.

The food is great. The restaurant is clean and friendly. The staff are quick and friendly. Must try for authentic tacos in DC.

Gluten-free options are limited to some soft tacos and bowls. ** Casual spot that's good for groups. Outdoor seating is available, pet friendly too, but space is tight. Paid street and garage parking nearby. Service provided by a young waitstaff. Gratuity can be included. We ordered: Gluten free tacos (4) Chicken and cheese quesadillas with rice and beans Slushy margarita flight - mango, strawberry, lime Chips & salsa provided Overall: good enough food, weaker than expected margs. Will try elsewhere in area before returning.

Inside, most tables were taken but there were a few empty and what seemed to be plenty of waiters around. My bf and I sat at the bar. The couple next to us got there just before us and got their menus, chips and drinks, plus ordered. We received nothing. After awhile someone handed us chips and a menu. Then we were ignored again. Meanwhile the couple next to us had received their food. I finally flagged someone down and asked for a beer, queso and 4 tacos. My bf who did not have a drink never got water. They brought us 3 tacos instead of 4 and then ignored us again. Are you noticing a theme? The tacos honestly were not even good. Oh, and because of the "holiday" they automatically added an 18% tip. Probably because with this service and food they would receive less than that. Not a great experience.

We were greeted and seated immediately when we arrived. There were maybe 3 or 4 tables total occupied during our visit so not too busy on a Sunday afternoon. There is outdoor seating as well. Our server, who was very friendly, hyped the premium margarita so we gave in and said yes. We also tried the passionfruit margarita. The premium was strong but that's probably what you're going for anyway The passionfruit margarita was delicious but not strong at all. We tried the chips and dip and the Platanos Fritos (plantains with sour cream) to start. Chips were fresh and hot. Salsa was a bit creamy. Never had it like this before but the taste was pretty good. Plantains were perfect! While we didn't order the Guac ( Guacamole Molcajete) , it was brought to our table. We found it to be on the bland side with no hints of cilantro, onion, lime or salt. We saw a few bits of tomato but it tasted just like a plain smashed avocado. Not something we would order again. We decided to try all the street tacos except the vegetarian so we could taste everything. Steak, chicken, fish, shrimp, ground beef, pork (al pastor), carnitas. We also got the 3 street taco platter that came with the Mexican rice and beans. We found the shrimp and fish tacos to be lacking in the quantity of meat. But they were flavorful. The chicken, while plentiful, was dry even with the sauce. The steak, al pastor and carnitas were all packed with meat and delicious but both our Al Pastor tacos were missing the pineapple. The ground beef was my personal favorite but was very greasy. The Mexican rice and pinto beans....Both were just ok. Overall, food was ok we were expecting a bit more flavor. Service was great. Pricing was a bit higher than what we usually pay for a similar order.
