We went with DJ Windows and doors to install new windows in our upstairs. Our experience with Todd, the salesman, was great. He answered all our questions, was patient and very friendly. Did not feel the pushy salesman vibe from him at all. The pricing of the windows was very reasonable especially compared to other quotes we received. The process to get a quote and order our windows was quick. What was I would even label as unsatisfactory was the communication after giving the first deposit. I was often the one reaching out to the company to confirm my payment was received and to follow up on an appointment for a tech to do final measurements. Also on the day of installation, our technician never showed up and once again I was the one reaching out to the company to ask where he was to which they didn't know either. Turned out he was not coming due to personal issues but never informed the company. That was very disappointing not to mention unprofessional. I was quickly rescheduled but not until another week. The new technician did a great job installing the windows. He was on time, quick and cleaned up the mess of the old windows. Overall I would recommend DJ Windows and most likely will go with them again for our downstairs windows. However I think they need to improve more on their communication with customers as well as with their technicians they hire to install. But overall we had a good experience. read more

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with DJ Windows and Doors has been so unacceptable that I feel obligated to warn others. I ordered a garden window for $2,999, and their salesperson, Todd Alexander, assured me--verbally and in writing--that it would take two weeks to manufacture. This turned out to be completely untrue. I had been considering Wintorium Windows, who were honest about their timelines, and I regret not going with them. I also placed a larger order for my Torrance property: * another garden window * a 6‑ft sliding door * six stationary windows * one bathroom window A measurement tech came out, and I was scheduled for installation on 12/19. No one called to confirm the appointment or provide a time window. Two installers (Ricardo and another worker) showed up at noon and left at 4 PM, and not even close to all the work was completed. The issues were extensive: * The garden window was left sitting in my garage. * Several windows were installed without caulking. * The 6‑ft slider was manufactured too short, and the installers tried to cover the mistake with double moulding instead of acknowledging the incorrect size. * My husband, who works in construction, had to intervene because the installer insisted he could "fix" the size issue with foam--completely unacceptable for a major structural opening. * One installer was visibly ill and repeatedly blowing his nose extremely loudly throughout the job. * The bathroom window was also the wrong size, leaving several inches of moulding around it and reducing the actual glass area. It also was not the upslide window I ordered. I spoke with David (who said he was the owner), Ishmael, and Ricardo, and all three promised they would return on 12/22 to review the problems and complete installation and remeasure. At this point, after paying over $3,000, I am seriously considering requesting a full refund and hiring Wintorium instead. Based on what I've seen, I do not believe this crew is capable of installing these products correctly. I've used Bear Windows and Wintorium Windows on multiple properties and have never experienced anything like this. This has been a complete disaster from start to finish, and I cannot recommend DJ Windows and Doors. read more

The quality of the windows is excellent--definitely a 5 out of 5. They're sturdy, look great, and come with a solid lifetime warranty, which gives peace of mind. The installation and service itself could been better - I'm giving it a 2 out of 5 due to a lack of communication throughout the process. There were several hiccups. For example, I waited several hours for the measurement appointment, only to find out--after calling the office--that the person never planned to come that day and had to be rescheduled. That was frustrating and could have been avoided with a simple heads-up. Communication during the installation was also difficult, possibly due to a language barrier, which made it hard to understand what was happening or when. I also waited on a weekend for the installer, based on what I was told, only to find out later (thanks to David) that they don't actually work weekends. At this time, our project has not yet been completed, but based on our experience so far, I would rate the service 2 out of 5. Aside from the initial visit--during which they inspected the property and provided a quote--the process has been consistently delayed. They were tardy in scheduling the final measurements: the first appointment had to be rescheduled by them, and during the next scheduled visit, no one arrived. Communication has also been lacking, as emails are not responded to in a timely manner. Additionally, the project timeline has extended well beyond what was originally promised, and we have not been notified of a confirmed installation date. Despite these delays and communication issues, the company was very prompt in requesting the 50% deposit. I will keep you all posted how this ends. read more

Todd came out to the house to do a estimate on all the windows needed. He was great explaing everything in detail and their price was very competetive comparred to others so i went ahead and got them to install my 7 Windows. They came on time and finished the job quickly. Windows are super clear and double panel and work great and perfectly fit replacing old ones. The quality is great, slide easily, and also auto lock. They didn't charge extra for autolock or extra features like other dealers. Miguel and his team installed the windows quickly and professionally. And when I told him I feel like I was bothering him with all the questions I have and if he feels like that he should refer me to another rep. My experience dealing with Todd Alexander, the salesperson from DJ Windows and Doors, for the estimate for my home window replacement project was beyond my expectations.  He patiently listened to my requirements and questions.  He took the time to address all of my questions and did not pressure me into signing the contract with him.  He's very knowledgeable about DJ Windows & Doors products.  He provided helpful recommendations.  Throughout the entire process, Todd was very friendly and professional.  The estimate I got from him was very reasonable for my project.  I ended up signing the contract with him.  A few days after I signed the contract, his office scheduled the technician to come out to make precise measurements of my window dimensions.  A week later, the technicians came out to install the windows, and they completed installing four windows within 2.5 hours.  Their work was exceptional.  They cleaned up the area, inside and outside, to the point where I couldn't tell if they were there at all.  Keep up the good work, guys.  I highly recommend DJ Windows and Doors.  They are on top of my list for my next window and/or door project. read more

I took my time going through various companies, and making sure to compare "an apple with an apple". I spelled it out to Todd explicitly what we needed with the windows, style, type, even thickness of glass. I also made sure to let them know that I wanted and needed permits to be pulled by them, not me for everything to be "Kosher" and not have any issues later if we sell the property. All seemed well at first, other than the fact that I had to remind him 3 times via text after receiving the quote that he was quoting single hung windows on his quote to me, and is should state XO side by side windows, as well as label out Casement windows for those that needed to be permitted to casement style. Besides this we still looked at the reviews and value for what we be getting an they looked like the best out of 6 other quotes we had gotten for the same job, including some wood work that would need to be done. His quote even spelled out that he would pull city permits and that we (the customer) will pay the fees. After notifying him that we would go with him, he told me the next steps and that a re-measure was needed. I verified that the re-measure would not increase the quote, as I had already let the other companies know that I had picked someone else. He assured me that "no" it would not. Shortly afterwards I get a text that says that I (the homeowner) would have to pull the permits now myself and not them, as he said it would be cheaper for me. After looking into it, If I pull the permits, I would be considered the "Owner-builder" and would be subject to a more scrutinized inspection as well as responsible for any fines, or corrections if not done correctly, which if it was a licensed professional that pulled the permit, they would be responsible. I let Todd know this, and that whatever the upfront fees are, I understand what I would pay, but I don't want to have any legal issues, or city issues later if this is not done right by there company. He told me that his manager will not allow him to take on business that needs city permits pulled, unless the owner does it themselves. This is a big RED FLAG for anyone. 1. the Quote is in Black & White of intent for the job and what was I as the homeowner is responsible for, and what them as the contracted business is responsible for . Them not holding that up to legitimate terms is bad business ethics. 2. What kind of legitimate licensed business would not understand how the permits work from the beginning and put themselves in that situation, simply to land the job. Buyer Beware, and do your diligence in having everything in writing beforehand. This could have been a terribly costly mistake. There last remarks to me were "Thanks for the opportunity. Sorry I could not be of assistance at this time". Such a waist of time. read more

We had to call more than once to found out our appt needed to be rescheduled. No phone call from them. Day of installation Miguel was more than 2 hours late which kept him installing windows until 7 pm which kept us from cleaning up the glass he decided to leave behind. We have a torn screen and scratched window frames on our brand new windows. 6/2/23 - Gave 4 stars for now. My estimate is next week and will provide an updated review afterwards. I was referred by a friend. I visited their showroom and Wendy helped me right away. She was/ is nice, helpful and attentive to all my questions and needs. I asked what the company's warranties are on their glass and vinyl. I was extremely happy to hear there is a lifetime warranty on both glass and vinyl. A company that backs their products with a lifetime warranty generally means their quality is exceptional. Hoping my estimate with Miguel is positive and within budget. I have a total of 18 windows including a sliding door to replace. Fingers crossed! 6/12/23 - Update: Miguel and his partner showed up right on time. They were professional, took measurements and did not try to up-sell or pressure me into anything more than what is needed. I had received my estimate within 3 business days. I've received 5 quotes from other companies. DJ Windows & Doors fit best with my budget and didn't have to sacrifice quality (so far). Keep in mind, I'm replacing 17 windows (one being a trapezoid) and one sliding door including installation. A couple of the other companies came in about the same but my instinct told me to choose DJs. Once installation is completed, I'll post pictures and post another update. :) read more

Jacob Carranza installed a damaged window and the 2 windows he installed thats not the one we want when he got here he told me that window I want thats not what he got , that's not a what good business do.... we're not happy with it . They didn't put caulking on the bottom of all the windows outside, and one is sticking out , very poor service and the left broken glass on my driveway and my son got a really bad cut on his foot .
