It's just a fun mix of flavors and was light. I don't mean light as in wavelength or weight. I mean light as in you don't feel bloated after you eat this donut in three bites. 2. Rosemary Pecan Crumb Old Fashioned. This one is definitely the cakey style, which was excellent. I thought this one had the best combination of dough plus glaze. I love the crumbs on top to give it an extra layer of fun. 3. Strawberry Rhubarb glaze. Strawberries in Oregon. What more can you ask for? This was a very yummy option that was refreshing. There's so many options but I knew I had stop by Doe Donuts after hearing so many people rave about this cute little donut shop. Doe Donuts has various flavors including seasonal ones. The Portland Fog, which I believe is available year-round, stood out to me the most with its earl grey glaze, fresh whip, and vanilla bean. The flavor and texture did not disappoint! I have heard the fairy tale of vegan donuts that are better than any other donuts in town and I had to put it to the test in honor of National Donut Day. I'm happy to report that Doe Donuts is a delightfully adorable shop with donuts and ice cream available. The gentleman at the counter was somewhat disinterested but he was quick and efficient. There is plenty of outside seating. The donuts themselves were great; I have no idea how they achieve this level of greatness without animal fat! They are all raised donuts (aside from the fritter). They are more dense than the typical raised donut, but in a really good way. The Blackberry Crisp, passion fruit butter mochi, and Raspberry Rhubarb were my favorite, with the Raspberry Rhubarb coming out on top. read more

OMG! I have been patronizing Doe for some time now. I love the creative flavors they bring together every month. I look forward to seeing what is next. UPDATED REVIEW - So I had to share this because Doe Donuts did such an incredible job. I placed a special order for my husbands birthday and asked for letters, the donuts read "Happy Birthday Bebe". They were all maple and I requested sprinkles on the "Bebe" part. Not only were the donuts beautiful and delicious, my husband was so surprised and so excited! It was the perfect birthday surprise for him because he loves maple donuts and he's vegan. Birthday donuts were a success! 17 letter donuts came out to 61$ (not including tip). I really came just to say the Portland Fog was my favorite donut in all of Portland. I normally don't like yeast donuts and more into cake donuts, but this was a wonderful yeast donut. Thursday 9/21/23 Before heading to Portland, my friend had told me to go try Doe donuts while out there based on a video he saw so that's exactly what I did. This place sells vegan sweets like donuts and even ice cream. The service was helpful and friendly. The worker made sure to let me know about each flavor and give him some of her recommendations. I got a 6 pack of donuts: 1 Portland fog ($3.75), 1 peach cobbler fritter ($3.75), 2 salted vanilla bean ($3 each), 1 the sundae ($3.50), and 1 passion fruit hibiscus ($4.25) for a total of $22 (with a .75 box fee). The donuts are pretty expensive but that's fine IF the donuts turn out to be worth it. The Portland fog was solid, the peach cobbler fritter was disappointing, the salted vanilla bean was okay at first but turned out to be solid once warmed up, the sundae was underwhelming, and the passion fruit hibiscus was AMAZING, easily my favorite doe donut by far and its definitely worth the price for it. My donut rankings: passion fruit, Portland fog, salted vanilla bean, peach cobbler fritter, and the sundae. I also sampled some of their ice cream but it wasn't good so I just stuck with the donuts. All in all, doe donuts is a spot that I would return and recommend mainly for that delicious passion fruit hibiscus donut. read more

Great vegan donuts in Portland! I'd give it a 4.5 but rounding up. I really liked how unique the flavors they offered were, but they definitely don't maintain well if you don't eat them in less than 12 hours. I tried the Thai Tea and Portland Fog flavors - the Portland Fog was definitely my favorite. All of the flavors weren't too sweet. They also have ice cream too! They seem to get really busy, we visited on a weekend and there was a line out the door. Note, they have a strict policy of 4 customers in the store at a time. It would be helpful to have a menu A-frame outside so people can browse while waiting. Lots of picnic tables outside if you want to eat immediately (would definitely suggest eating it right away!) and loved how cute the logo was too! read more

Stop #3 on the "A day in Portland adventure." This place must be good, because the visit started with a line out the door. There's a shaded patio with picnic tables and benches. A few trees and some shrubbery makes the concrete jungle feel more warm and calm. Depending on the time of day, I suppose it may provide some sunshine. When I was there, the concrete "benches" were bathed in sunlight. There's a chalkboard outside the door that provides instructions once you're close enough to enter. Things like "no more than four people" but "more kids are okay." Clean environment. Warm colors. And the donuts. THE DONUTS. The donuts look and taste amazing. The maple twist, soft and chewy. A perfect glaze to pastry ratio. You know what I'm talking about?! Sweet without that sugar tooth warning going off in your brain. The blueberry thyme lemon buttermilk bar was a different story. Crunchy on the outside, soft in the middle. Lots of lemon, subtle thyme. Service was cordial, but you can tell they are pumping people through. No one outside really wanted to talk. I tried to start two conversations and...there wasn't any conversation to be had. Maybe you'll have better luck striking up a convo! But it was time for stop #4 and I had a game plan. I will say these are the very best donuts in Portland, and their flavors are unreal. They're so light, fluffy, and not too sweet. As an Asian, that's the very best compliment I can give. I came here later in the day, around 2:30pm. The service was amazing! Since it was our first time there, she told us the most popular flavors and their special flavor to celebrate fourth of July. We ended up getting the salted vanilla bean, doe, and portland fog donuts. The salted vanilla bean was probably our favorite! The glaze was flaky, fell apart beautifully when you bit into it and the texture was soft not cakey. The Portland fog was pretty good, but I expected a bit more flavor. Lastly, the doe donut exceeded my expectations for a strawberry donut. It didn't taste artificially flavored and was closer to the taste of strawberry jam! For drinks my boyfriend ordered a hot coffee and I got a bottled kombucha. His coffee wasn't to his liking... a bit sour. Having a dedicated vegan donut and ice cream place is amazing. Their location right next to the Hollywood theater is auspicious. I love their donut flavors, seasonal flavors, and the ice cream.
