It's not the typical kbbq grill, it's the stone raclette grill that doesn't get burn quickly like the normal grills. It's good for group celebrations, but prob won't go on a regular basis. The quality of meats are fresh, the sets came with some veggies. The table got very hot from the grills and the oil splashes easily. I rec wearing a long sleeve shirt to not get oil splashes. The drinks gets pricy tho. Mess with bbq intestines? This is the spot to go to for small and big intestines and kbbq! The two times I've been here the intestines were cleaned very well and the servers start the grill up for you and mix it around getting it ready for you to eat right in front of you. I'm a large intestines guy with the crispy outside and a fatty with a little chew innards. Perfect to pair with all of the samm, banchan and dipping sauces they provide for you. The kalbi we order are thick cuts but really tender and high quality. The only complaint I have is when we got the steamed egg you can smell that burntness of it as it was coming from the kitchen. When we complained that the bottom was burnt and affected the taste of the whole dish, our server returned it and came back to us saying the cook stated that that's how they do the steam eggs, as a Korean, no, it's not supposed to come burnt or taste burnt. I was so excited to spend my birthday at Don Blancs last night but the reality materialized into a shit show. The service was horrible! I felt like my party of 6 were left to fend for ourselves. We had to ask several times for tea and basics such as tongs, napkins, plates. It was the worst service I have ever experienced. When the meat came out we had to figure out how to turn on the grill! The wait staff just dumped the food off at the table without explanation and left. It was one of the worst bday dinners I've ever had. Never coming back here. The reason I am even giving this place a couple of stars was the quality of the pork belly and the bbq was pretty good. But that's it. Such a shit show otherwise. Also, beware they automatically charge for service fee for a party of 6 so my party ended up double tipping the waitstaff. If it was deserving I wouldn't be so pissed. Also, there is a deathly ramp that people have to walk down to get to the tables - I watched at least 5 people slip on. We got the pork belly, brisket and intestines along with the egg soufflé and soybean stew. The soybean stew is a must! The flavor is rich and there's a kick to it that's not too spicy but just right. Our server was super friendly, cooking the meats for us and had great conversation while doing so. The food was delicious and very filling. All of the staff were very welcoming. Trying to find a place to eat at almost midnight is kinda impossible and definitely glad to have stumbled upon this bbq place. The place is spacious and the servers were nice too. My party of 8 ordered the beef set A and the deluxe pork and we were beyond full. Each set came with a steamed egg and a stew. The steamed egg was fluffy and nicely seasoned. We chose for kimchi soup and it was a nice soup with a slight kick of spice, savory, slight tangy, but not overly fermented tasting. I enjoyed the quality of the beef. The beef LA galbi was marinated and sweet tasting, you cant go wrong with galbi. The brisket wasn't super fatty nor it was very lean - great proportion of fat vs meat so it was quite tender. For the deluxe set, we chose pork ribs and it came cooked, slightly sweet tasting, and cooked nicely too - wasn't tough to eat. I liked the pork jowl - got a nice crunch after it was cooked and not too oily. The pork belly however was very thick, with thick layer of fat too :'( too oily i could only eat few pieces. Came yesterday for dinner with my family to check out the new kbbq restaurant inside the plaza. Was hoping for more variety in the banchan, but only enjoyed the kimchi and daikon wraps. The meats were high quality and tender, but the meal was disappointing due to the lack of service. Not sure if the servers were new, but they were very hands off. We constantly needed to ask for more banchan, they did not offer to cook our meats for us, and one of the servers even put the beef set in front of my 8 month old nephew. There was 4 tables when we were there with 2 servers, so the restaurant was not busy. The server also didn't know our fan wasn't on until we complained about how smoky it was getting. We came with 3 toddlers, and it would've been helpful to have some assistance with cooking the meats while the children were being taken care of by their parents. Towards the end of the meal, they have a fried rice on the menu that they cook at the table, and the server was trying to cook the rice on a heavily charred cast iron grill. I asked her multiple times to change the grill, but she insisted on cleaning it with a piece of lettuce? Clearly she doesn't know how to clean a grill, and maybe should've tried using an onion if she really didn't want to change the grill. After ignoring my requests to change the grill, she brings out the rice, and I told her I didn't feel comfortable with her making the rice on the charred grill, and she responded "we typically only do one grill change". At that point, I told her I didn't want the fried rice anymore because I'm not going to eat fried rice mixed with char. She then awkwardly walked away and came back with the new grill. At this point, I was ready for the check, but felt bad because she was insisting on cooking the fried rice since she finally begrudgingly brought out a clean grill. For a fancier Korean bbq, I expected more from the staff, especially when they automatically charged 18% for our party of 6 adults and 3 toddlers. Even AYCE kbbq offers grill changes with better banchan variety. Can't say I'd be back, as there are other kbbq along Telegraph with better service. read more

Update: 2nd Time We came for Mother's Day. I made a reservation just in case they were busy. They weren't, lucky for us! We had the whole place to ourselves for 20 minutes. Our host seated pretty quickly and warned us of the cleaning since they had just mopped the floors. This time around we had full service due to the restaurant not being busy and enough staff members. Our server was attentive and professional when it came to cooking the meat. He let us carry on eating and did not try to make us talk while cooking for us. I kind of had to get used to this because I am usually the one cooking, but it was great! We ordered: Kimchi Stew, Marinated Pork Rib, Pork Belly or Samgyeopsal, Pork Jowl, and Monster Beef Rib. Look at my other review for the pork deluxe set! $60...for a GIANT beef rib with basically a steak attached to it. I'm not sure how we finished it, but the meat was so tender and juicy that it was so easy to eat. I would come back just for that! I'd be a regular here every 2 weeks if I lived close enough! If I could give this place more stars, I would. This is genuinely one of the best KBBQ experiences I've ever had. I've been to basically all of the KBBQ places in the area, and they really don't even hold a candle. We were looking for somewhere special to go to celebrate and this place DEFINITELY went above and beyond our expectations. The meat is way higher quality than a AYCE place, and our waiter informed us that all of the meat here is Prime or Wagyu. The marbling on the meat here is insanely good, and I can see why their price point is set the way it is! First off, it's so clear that they pay attention to the bonchan here, because it was so high quality. I particularly loved the bean sprouts and fishcake! We went ham when we ordered and had no regrets whatsoever -- every single thing was DELICIOUS. We got the Beef Set C, the monster beef rib (HIGHLY recommend this one), added on the fried rice, kimchi stew, and tons of drinks. I want to specially shout out our waiter, Chris, who was bomb. The owner, Hoon, also helped serve us and he was so incredibly sweet. These two truly helped make the experience amazing. If y'all are looking for a BOMB experience, whether it be a rowdy night with friends or a fun date night with your special person, Don Blanc is without a doubt the place to go. read more

We went there pretty early for Sunday lunch and were the first in the restaurant. The entrance was a bit confusing since they have the same entrance with Moo Bong Ri. Foods were served quick and the staffs were very helpful in explaining some items in the menu. The portions were way bigger than I thought since I was thinking of of the after meal fried rice, but fortunately we didn't do that. - Mugi-Fuji Pork Belly: the pork belly was grilled perfectly and not too greasy at all. Definitely way thicker than the usually pork belly cut you have in other places. - Monster Beef Rib: this is probably the biggest ribs I've seen served in a Korean BBQ restaurant. Was totally shock with the size and didn't expect it to be marinated. The meat was tender but not to my expectation and should've been marinated a bit longer. This is just based on my preference for marinated ribs. Overall this is a great place for Korean BBQ, good price comes with good meat quality. Should've had the options for lettuce wrapped, but I guess bc we didn't ask for it. Totally see myself bringing my other friends back here again. Ive been waiting for this place to open since pre-covid. Got the large mixed Gopchang plate and it was great. Smaller than expected (feeds more like 2 instead of 3 to 4 as advertised) but great food. We topped it off with another order of the pork bbq set and OMG it was out of this world. Really high quality meats, generous portions, and absolutely delicious. Came here at 6:30pm on a Saturday and it was surprisingly empty! All we needed was our whole party and our vaccination cards + ID. For a group of four, we ordered the DonBlanc combo in medium (serves 2-3) with the mak chang, gop chang, and dae chang. We opted for the smaller size because we wanted to try the beef tartare and the fried rice. The beef tartare came out first and we were all so impressed. We had no idea how to eat it so we had to ask the server. Mix the beef with the raw egg yolk but keep the apple slices (at the bottom) separate. Then eat with the apple slices. It was phenomenal -- kind of tangy and savory and super butter from the egg yolk. I had some with the lettuce it came with and that made a great wrap. The combo came out on a separate platter with a different burner (not the grill on our table). It also had a lot of vegetables: enoki mushrooms, chives, sweet potato, potato, and a whole plethora of other things. While I appreciated the extra veggies, they did mostly just get burnt because all vegetables cook at a different rate, and also at a different rate from the intestines. The mak chang was kind of swiggly and harder, almost like the texture of squid. When left on the grill, it caramelized and bit and was really delicious. The gop chang was a tube with a paste inside that tasted like liver. Super delicious if you like pate! The dae chang was large fatty cylindrical pieces. The server told us to leave this on for longer to get more browning. All of my friends liked this a lot, and the fat was a good clear fat but not my favorite since it was pretty rich. We asked for rice paper, but they didn't have any. They offered us lettuce wraps instead, which were a great addition to the meal! Would recommend ordering them -- they're free anyhow. Our combo also came with some of the sides like the bean sprout salad and the doenjang (Korean Miso Soup). The soup was really good and it reminded me that we should have doenjang more often. After finishing off our combo, we ordered the fried rice add on. I thought it was a fun addition and in general fried rice is a good way to round out KBBQ but I didn't particularly like the flavor on this which a bit disappointing. It was more on the acidic end, and missing other flavors. Plus they mixed it with the burnt bits of vegetable on the grill already which made the rice bitter as well. Overall, it was a great experience and a bang for our buck ($110 total with tax and tip, so only $28 per person) but I can imagine it'd be much more expensive if you want to eat the meats. I'd love to come back to try some of the other offerings, the pork jowl and belly at the next table over looked and smelled amazing! read more

The food itself would be 2 stars, price point 2 stars, but the service 10/10 5 stats so averaging out as 3.4 stars rounded down since people come for the food. But if it wasn't for the great service I'd give a lower rating unfortunately. We ordered Wagyu Beef Brisket ($38) and Pork Belly ($31) for meats. Corn cheese as sides and the meats also came with Kimchi stew. Tues night was dead with maybe 2 other parties. After ordering with the amazing worker, we got our banchan spread. Pretty decent - fish cakes which were good. Zucchini, radish, onion and bean sprout salad were all just OK - a bit flavorless. Two sauces - sesame oil and the soybean paste spread thing people usually put with their meat for lettuce wraps (no lettuce tho). The wagyu brisket came out along with 3 thick slices of brisket. We were stoked. Tried the wagyu brisket first and wow.... this was probably the worst brisket I've had seemingly labeled "wagyu". Super tough, not beefy, did not melt in your mouth like other wagyu brisket cuts (e.g: 10 butchers) and although it wasn't frozen, kind of tasted like it could have been. Very oily as well as the grill didn't do an amazing job sucking out that oil. The pork belly - also super dry or fatty (or both). Wasn't a fan of this at all unfortunately. Corn cheese was alright (bit heavy on the mayo) and the kimchi stew was pretty good (kimchi is a bit on the spicier/tart side which I enjoy). Overall this place is perfect for large groups (huge tables) so if you're with friends, drunk and want a good time, this is your spot. If solely for the food while sober, maybe not so much. I opted against the fried rice given I always feel like that's something I can make at home with leftovers vs paying $12 for it - but cool concept of them to make it on the grill! read more

First time and I'm very satisfied with everything. My family, their friends and I wanted to try their daechang (large intestine). It's so hard to find daechang around the area but so far this place hit the spot. Gopchang (small intestine) is pretty good as well but personally not a big fan... They open at 5 (only dinner time) and the service was great. The person that was working today was serving by himself. Prop to him. TIP: Parking is hard to find. My parking genie has been great this past few times I came here so luckily I found a parking inside the mini plaza today as well. If not, it's street parking and it's scary especially with people breaking into cars :( We got the Delux set (which includes everything in the list of picture I attached). It's good for at least 3 people. Since we were party of 6... We went ahead and added pork galbi and medium size of the combo of intestines. This was not enough for 6 of us since we are big eaters so, after we THOUGHT needed more... we went ahead again; added Wagyu Brisket, another round of pork ribs, Bento box (it's super unique) and lastly, spicy cold noodles (IMO: best combo with meat and noodle).... SO, after this order, omg there was left overs. We went over board but overall, the food was great. They also have bokkumbap (fried rice) for only $12, you can add into your order but they were making their sauces when we were eating, we had to cancel the order... it was a bummer but looked really good on other parties who was dining in. Overall, I definitely recommend, daechang (large intestine) over any other intestine and pork ribs! It's marinated in just right amount of sweetness. Although we went early in the evening, it got pretty busy as the night went on. However the staff still did a wonderful job in accommodating each person with minimal wait time. This place is overhyped! I came here expecting quality, but the quality of meat was worse than what you would find at an AYCE place. We ordered the brisket, marinated boneless short ribs, and cold noodles. The brisket was so thick and so hard to chew, it was like chewing on leather. I almost choked a few times trying to eat it. The marinated short ribs was so chewy and hard to swallow as well. I couldn't taste any marinate. The cold noodles was flavorless and watered down. Not to even mention the price of everything. $42 for the brisket and short ribs EACH for some meat worse than Choice quality. The service was okay, but overall would never come back again.
