Ordered a side of the Italian wedding soup, it was ok, not very flavorful. Hubs enjoyed the shrimp scampi. Perfect amount of shrimp with the pasta. Son had the stuffed shells, he enjoyed it with creamy inside and perfect amount of marinara. Ordered the calamari for an appetizer. We had this delivered, it was still hot and fresh and crispy. You know when you show up to a restaurant and you can't find it because it's a literal hole in the wall and you just KNOW it's going to be amazing? This. This is Don Michael's. The restaurant was empty, surprisingly. We did show up early for dinner rush though. We ordered chicken parm, angel hair with Sunday sauce & a meatball, linguine & meatballs and two house salads with Gorgonzola. Everything was incredible!! The house salad had home made dressing which made my mouth water. Perfect vinegarette. The Sunday sauce. Oh my gosh. DO NOT MISS THIS. Absolutely amazing. The chicken parm was fantastic. The breading was spot on and the marinara was sublime. It had its own flair and unique. The meatballs were so flavorful inside and out. Fantastic in the Sunday sauce. I really wanted to like this restaurant, but after my first (and last experience) today I don't think I do. My friend and I usually meet for dinner once a week or so. We both enjoy small and quaint places that are locally owned. When the hibachi place we were going to couldn't accommodate us, she suggested Don Michael's as she has been here before. Although I wasn't craving Italian I was game, since it's a locally owned small business. Upon first entering, the hostess wasn't that friendly. Her interactions with me (as opposed to my friend and other guests) seemed strained, almost like she was annoyed. She was very short with me, almost curt. She was never out and out rude, but when I compared how she interacted with me as compared to other guests there was a marked difference. Combine the less than stellar service with food that was subpar (my pasta tasted like it was freezer burned (how?), the salad dressings tasted store bought, and the standard garlic bread that is served was super oily), and needless to say this was my first and last time at this establishment. read more

I promise you, there isn't a better hidden-gem in Las Vegas. The service is fantastic and the food is always incredible. This place is filled with love and boy does the taste reflect that. We've been coming here fairly regularly, and bringing visiting friends and family, for fiveish years. In our 25+ visits, we've had slow service exactly once, and the food has basically never disappointed. Literally, the only dish we've tried and not cared for is the fettucini alfredo. First time here. We opted to eat family style as no one could decide on one dish. We had the Meatballs, Chicken Marsala, Lasagna and the pasta with Vodka sauce. The garlic bread they bring to the table was so delicious we had to have seconds. All of the sauces had so much flavor. We will definitely be back. Food is amazing, more like one of a kind, authentic and just a total foodgasm. Sophia our server was great and she gave us a good laugh. Very helpful with explaining the menu and their wonderful Italian dishes. My fiancé had the Veal Sinatra which he thought was amazing. It wasn't on the menu but ask the server about it and she'll let you in on the secrete special sauce. It is super yummy, I don't think I've ever tasted anything like it honestly. I had the Chicken Riggies which is one of their signature dishes. And it's probably one of the most flavorful Italian dishes I've ever had. It had a spice scale from 1-4, I got a 2 and it was perfection. It had the perfect amount of kick to it. The plate was of a larger portion you can share it with someone and get like a salad and be just fine. But once you try it you might not want to share lol The pastas also come with a little side salad that's really really bomb. They have this homemade Italian dressing that's perfection. I love a great authentic restaurant when I can find one and that place was one of a kind. Food tastes like it's made with love and care. And you can really tell. It's crazy cause it's in this little small shopping center hidden in the very corner. And I would've never even heard of it or found it without yelp. Great place to eat, and we came on a Sunday right when they opened so it wasn't busy. She said Friday's and Saturday do get very busy so if you wanna go those days to make a reservation or order take out. It is a very small restaurant with no more than 10 or 12 tables. Found this place on Yelp and the evening turned better than expected. The food was delicious and so was the atmosphere. Everyone was so great, from the service to the other customers. The place is not that big with maybe 15 tables so it was very cozy and the menu is not huge so the dishes are carefully hand picked to maximize the experience. I've seen the good reviews here on Yelp and was in the area and decided to stop in and see for myself if the hype was real. The restaurant was relatively empty around 7:00 at night. I was serve the traditional garlic bread which is decent. When I looked at the menus they said that the entree included garlic bread, salad, and the entree. In actuality the entree just included garlic bread and the actual entree. Now on to the food. The salad came out and it was ice cold which I like but it was drenched in dressing. The waitress took it back and asked him to remake it and it seemed like they just added lettuce and tossed it again and the lettuce was pretty wilted it seemed. I ordered the chicken marsala and had to pay $5 for the upgraded fettuccine alfredo. The chicken marsala is really good and I would definitely rate that a four. The fettuccine alfredo was just okay and was super heavy kind of like the overdressed salad. The service was good and the gal that waited on me did a decent job. I'm sure this was or used to be a good neighborhood spot to go to that had good value. The location seem to be undesirable as the majority of the stores in the strip mall are closed or boarded up. Overall I'd rate this place a 3.5 but they don't allow you to do that here. If there was value offered for what they provide I'm sure they would bring a lot more business. In Las Vegas you have to either offer great value with quality or high quality was slightly elevated pricing. People will pay for it every time rather than a lackluster experience. I do hope the owners can't figure this out because people here in the northwest would visit if there was value and the quality was there. Take out business would also Thrive as a result. read more

I decided to go out a support a few small Local businesses during "Phase 1" of reopening. I've drove past this place many times...but I never knew it was there. It's tucked away in the back corner of a shopping mall. The waitress (Margaret) was very attentive. As soon as we walked in we were greeted like family. She showed us to our table and immediately took our drink order. They have a nice small selection of bottled wine. We ordered the Tobin James. I didn't look at beer menu...I just ordered the Peroni...I mean I'm in a Italian restaurant...is there any other beer? Lol. I ordered the Salmon De Vinci...OMG...cooked perfectly!! Amazing flavor and perfect portion size. My girl ordered the chicken riggies. She has been here several times before and she always orders the same entree because it's the perfect meal...flavorful, spicy and a large portion. I'm really glad we came here. I love the "family" feel. It's small, quaint, open kitchen and just an overall great "vibe" to the place. I'll be back!!! read more

I was in the mood for a good Italian dinner so I pulled up Yelp and started searching for restaurants near my house. I came across an Italian restaurant, Don Michael's, with a four and one-half star rating. When I arrived at the location I couldn't easily find the entrance, but I sure could smell it. The smell of garlic in the parking lot was delightful. When I arrived at the bistro the hostess who was also the waitress seated us. The nostalgia and atmosphere were casual but very comforting. I definitely reminded me of some small family owned bistros that I had frequented while I lived in Italy. The waitress brought the menus which had a short history of their restaurant. They started in Singer Island, Florida in 1973 and after 30 years the moved to Las Vegas with their three sons. This location was opened in 2000. Since I love with capers, I ordered the veal piccata for the price of $24.95. The meal came with a simple garden salad with tomato and onion. I chose a blue cheese dressing with blue cheese crumbles. The salad was simple but fresh, our table was served a basket of garlic bread which was very good. Next the main course came. The veal piccata was garnished with lemon which added the right amount of acidity and cut through the heavy sauce. The veal was so tender that I didn't even need a knife. The meal also came with a side of rigatoni with a savory red Sunday sauce. The entire entrée was very well balanced and I would give it five stars. The Cabernet that I ordered with the meal paired very well. Service was excellent and the waitress made us feel like part of the family. My overall experience was outstanding and I will definitely return to Don Michael,s again. read more

We had a party of 6 when we ate here last night. Our waitress kept failing to clear dirty dishes, she brought the check before clearing any plates which felt a little money hungry. The waitress didn't check in as often as we would've liked as we were there for a birthday celebration and felt like she rarely came around. She mentioned they have a small kitchen which is why our food was taking a minute as another party of 6 came in at the same time. We ordered meatballs as an appetizer and they came out cold. Out of the 6 dishes ordered only the chicken Marsala and chicken cacciatore were good. To be fair the chicken Marsala was some of the best I've ever had. The ambiance is okay but nothing amazing but expected from a mom and pop owned place. I really wanted to like this place but I don't think we'll be coming back. The experience could've been saved if it felt like the food was actually prepped with care and if the waitress was more attentive to her tables. read more

We like the local businesses and happy we found a great Italian restaurant. The problem was with Uber eats. A couple of drivers accepted the order and then cancelled it. I am not sure why they cancelled as we gave a $10 tip. We will not order delivery from Uber eats or Grubhub ever again. We wanted to try this place for the first time and ordered delivery tonight. It took an hour and half for the food to arrive to only find out it was the incorrect order. I called, 10 minutes prior to closing, and was assured they would remake it and send it to me.
