Finally found a spot in Redlands that I actually enjoy. Had such a great experience the food was honestly amazing highly recommend the short rib and the lobster enchiladas, both were packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. For drinks, I had the Jalisco Old Fashioned and a spicy cucumber margarita, and both were so good. What really made the night stand out though was the service. Our waiter, Julian, was amazing, attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect the entire time. Definitely a spot I'd come back to and recommend to anyone looking for a great meal and drinks.

We went on a double date with my husband's twin and his wife, and they suggested Don Orange since it's one of their favorite spots. From the moment we walked in, I could see why. The place has such a great vibe--stylish and thoughtfully decorated with a really cool atmosphere. The huge mural on the wall immediately caught my eye and gives the whole space a unique, artistic feel. Service was top notch from start to finish. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made the experience feel relaxed and fun rather than rushed. They also make excellent cocktails here--definitely worth trying if you visit. All four of us absolutely devoured our meals. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, and it's clear they put a lot of care into the food. It's the kind of place where you find yourself talking about how good everything is while you're eating it. Between the atmosphere, great drinks, and delicious food, it made for such a fun night out. We all agreed this is definitely a spot we'll be coming back to again.

First time here and on Cinco de Mayo. I arrived around 5pm, it was busy and lively. I called ahead and they don't take reservations, and happy hour goes till 6pm. It was about a 10 min wait for a small table. The menu is LARGE. There was no happy hour menu, had to wait for the server to tell me what the happy hour menu was. I ordered the hibiscus and watermelon margaritas, both were good and not overly sweet. According to the server they make all their syrups in house. I ordered street corn and bean dip off the happy hour menu and a couple of $3 tacos which is all day on Tuesdays. I liked the asada and won't do the carnitas again. My friend liked her shrimp tacos so much so that she ordered it twice- entree, regular menu. I appreciated the vibe and the service was top notch! I would try this place again.

This past Friday, we made a quick stop. My experience overall was good! I would come back for dinner or lunch. The watermelon cocktail was delicious!! The only bad point was the host. My friend checked to ensure there were chairs available at the bar before we walked in. When we walked in, to be polite we asked the host if we could just sit at the bar. She said NO, all seats were taken...excuse me ma'am, you didn't bother checking. We told her we had seen empty chairs so then she quickly glanced and said "oh okay" with an attitude. That part wasn't pleasant and probably not the best to be the first interaction upon entering the restaurant.

    Amazing Chicken Flautas!
    Greg F.

AMAZING FLAUTAS! I don't usually go looking for Mexican food. So, if I happen to go looking, this is one of my go to locations. I prefer going to the restart during their lunch time because their lunch menu has more reasonably priced food for Mexican cuisine options... Regardless, aside from pricing, the food is often absolutely fabulous! I just wish I could get fabulous tacos everywhere and perhaps for a bit less. Their chicken flautas is something I recently tried and I was amazed! The service and ambiance here at the restaurant has not disappointed me once. It is one of the reasons why I find myself not resisting to go back.

I think the decor compliments the Street Corn and Strawberry margaritas :) don't ya

Just had Company Xmas party here last Thursday. The service was great. Staff are friendly, attentive and helpful. I can only review base on my experience and my taste. I love the churros actually my first time having churros with milk and chocolate topping. The chicken enchiladas is good but I am used to the regular chicken enchiladas- my first time as well and a little too spicy not hot chili spicy... maybe my palate needs conditioning to this flavor... it's flavorful and tasty. The drinks are great not water down. The ambiance and decor are giving a cool vibe. Restrooms are clean and located outside still inside the building though. The Parking is a pain or unless you go straight to the parking structure about 7-10 minutes walk. Overall its a very nice Party and I had a good time. Shout out to Christine! you rock! Thank you very much.

    11/19/25 Buenos nachos

11/19/25 After an event a few doors down, we decided to continue the party at Don Orange Tacos-- a nifty place to hangout & get out drinks/grub on. Service quick& friendly with delicious food. I love the vibe here, good music playing. The bar set up is aesthetically pleasing. Our server Jimmy was attentive & efficient. Hubby ordered the Chingon Burrito while I opted for the nachos to share among friends. For some strange coincidence, they all ordered the taquitos. Our food & beverages arrived shortly & we all enjoyed our selection. The portion of the nachos was sizable that even as we shared it, there was still plenty to take home. Would definitely return if in the area. Street parking (free) is available & a parking structure about a block away. We got lucky as we found a spot right in front of the restaurant.

First visit here today. We were supposed to visit Cedar Agave upstairs & even though we made a 5 pm reservation, they said they were closed. We are from Palm Springs area. Not close. We decided to just eat here as we were hungry. I had a Passion Mule. It was good. My husband had a pineapple margarita. He enjoyed it. My chicken enchiladas were supposed to have chicken Tinga in them. They didn't. I hate false advertising. I needed salsa for my rice & beans but nobody came back to check on us for quite some time. Service is slow. My husband enjoyed his birria tacos. The fries were good too. The crème brûlée was simply OK. I've had much better. Not sure if I'd return, maybe when in the area but I wouldn't go out of my way.

This restaurant has an inviting industrial-modern décor with a great bar and a spacious patio. The open-air seating in the front of the restaurant gives you the feeling of being outdoors while still having plenty of coverage. Inside, there are three clean, gender-neutral restrooms--just remember to ask for the door code. Toward the back, there's a charming oyster bar that feels a bit like a speakeasy. The staff is incredibly friendly. Not only did our main server take great care of us, but several other staff members--who weren't even assigned to our table--checked in on us and helped clear plates. The teamwork made the service stand out in the best way. I visited during brunch, but they also offer some lunch and dinner items, so you can get a good sense of the full menu. I highly recommend the filet mignon tacos, shrimp tacos, and the breakfast burrito. The burrito is large enough to split and is both delicious and filling. The tortilla soup and street corn are also must-tries, and you'll almost certainly leave with a to-go box. The Diablo sauce is available on the side; despite the name, it isn't too spicy. The chips and salsa are excellent as well, with a mild salsa that most people can comfortably enjoy. A couple of things to note: they serve only pinto beans (no black beans), and they do not take reservations. When we arrived at 11:30 a.m., we were seated quickly. They open at 11, and while a small crowd formed, the wait seemed only about 5-10 minutes. Drink-wise, I recommend the spicy cucumber margarita. And don't miss the shrimp ceviche--it's so fresh and flavorful that you can easily enjoy it with just a spoon rather than using tortilla chips. One small touch I appreciated is that they leave a pitcher of water at your table, which is simple but smart. There's also plenty of nearby street parking and parking lots within walking distance, making the location very convenient.

Another great day at the Don! Dined on September 2, 2025 and had a great experience. The place still has the cool and modern vibe with beautiful murals and a huge bar. Seating is a little limited. SERVICE: Tonight we had very good service. Greeted us quickly at the front and seated us immediately. Our servers were friendly and attentive. Drinks and food came out timely. FOOD: Can't start without the dip trio, and

How amazing is this painting from a local artist Christine Curry?

As I made my way home from a work conference in Los Angeles to La Quinta, I had already been in standstill traffic for 3 1/2 hours. I decided to pull off the road in Redlands searching for dinner so I could wait out the traffic. I went to yelp to see what was around and saw some great reviews of this little treasure. As I drove down State Street, something was calling me inside and I from the moment I stepped through the doors, I knew that I had found a great spot! When I got to the bar, I was greeted by one of the friendliest bartenders I've met in a long time. Her name is Cassie..she had an energy around her that was welcoming and kind. We struck up a great conversation, and although I was asking her questions, she was attentive to all of the other guests and orders coming in. She handled everything with ease and like a pro I kept thinking, how pleasantly surprised I was to have stumbled upon this amazing restaurant! The food was delicious and of course it's Taco Tuesday so I was excited to try their Carnitas and Carne Asada tacos... They were unbelievable! The artwork and the vibe in this place is unreal, and you feel instantly at home with incredible energy swirling around the entire spot. Then I was blessed to meet the general manager (Rafael) who was equally kind and welcoming. You can tell this is a place that takes good care of their people and that everyone is very happy working there. I can always tell when there's a good culture happening because the people are thriving, smiling and at ease. It should be effortless because that's when you know they love what they're doing, and they believe in the company. I'm not sure if I'll make it back through Redlands again soon but if I do, this will be my first stop and it should be yours. If you're driving through, definitely make it a must see and ask for Cassie and Rafael

HH Mon-Fri 2pm-5pm with lunch specials 11am-2pm. Margarita Mondays and taco Tuesdays all day! Great tacos & good times. This spot has some curb appeal. Luv the layout of the space. The decor captures your attention at every angle. Service was awesome! There's traditional menu items elevated with their special touch. Wish there were some extra salsa options with more heat and a touch more seasoning on the chicken. Food looked great but was a bit bland. High and low top tables, half booths. Walls of tequila displayed. Right in downtown Redlands next to The State. Limited parking right in front or parking lots, garages within a block.

    Smokey blood orange. So yum.

Loving the atmosphere. The food matches. Birria tacos, lobster enchilada, fluatas, guac granada, chimichurri chicken... I recommend them all. Service is top notch. Should def try this place once a month. I think their menu changes.

We seated ourselves at our favorite raised table in the corner on the far side of the bar. My husband and I stuck to traditional cocktails, and old fashioned and a Negroni. Our friends chose signature cocktails: the Turbo Granny and the Electric Feel. Now the Electric Feel was not just a drink, it was an experience. Our server explained to our friend that he should sip a little of the drink, then chew the Szechuan buzz bud for about 15 seconds, letting it coat his whole tongue, then enjoy the rest of the drink which would taste different afterwards. Our friend went through all those steps and said it was incredible, like all the flavors were enhanced along with different sensations in his mouth, kind of numb and tingly. His wife was not satisfied with his description of the experience, so she bought a Szechuan buzz bud for $2 and she said it was kind of like pop rocks. These buzz bud looks just like a little flower bud like the end of a dandelion once the seeds are blown away. It comes from a plant. Totally fascinating! We enjoyed our one cocktail each here and just had great conversation. It was a fun night because of the company, and also because we had a little adventure going to two amazing places!

We decided on weekend brunch, especially since there were endless mimosas. Our kids have a recollection of being down the class umbrella alleyway, so they were amazed when they saw it. A short while later, we were in front of the restaurant and were quickly seated by the staff. They didn't ask if we preferred outdoor or indoor seating, but we were seated inside right next to the kitchen. We heard that indoor seating was better for service anyway. The interior of the restaurant was "very fancy," and my daughter thought we were in a date spot. We knew we wanted French fries and opted for the garlic Parmesan fries. At first, the kids were weirded out by the arugula, but my daughter ended up enjoying it, noting the bitter and salty notes. My son devoured the entire plate (not the arugula) and asked for another round. We also ordered the lemon ricotta French toast, made from Brioche bread, lemon blackberry butter, whipped lemon ricotta cream, blackberries, mint, and maple syrup. They perfected the crispy exterior, which contrasted well with the fluffy bread. My wife ordered the breakfast pizza--a focaccia pizza topped with marinara, ham, spinach, fresh tomato, red onion, a sunny-side-up egg, and herb-infused maple syrup. This was really delicious with the tart, fresh tomatoes, the salty ham, and the sweet maple syrup. I ended up eating the sunny-side egg by itself, so we didn't get to try the pizza with the egg. Lastly, I ordered the steak and eggs, but it was sadly a small portion. I ordered it medium rare, and it came out medium. The seasoning was a bit strange and would have been better with simple salt, pepper, and garlic. The mimomas really made my wife happy. She started feeling it pretty quickly. She chose the pineapple juice while I got the traditional orange. Not sure if the alcohol made the food better or the other way around. I was brought to reality when I saw the expensive bill, though.

Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to the hype. Service was the main issue. The bartenders seemed inexperienced, and our server wasn't familiar with the drinks, often needing to check with someone else. It took about 20 minutes to receive our first round. Our reservation was at 10:30, we were seated until 10:40, and the place closes at midnight so timing already felt tight. Because of the wait, we asked to order two drinks at once for the next round, but were told it's limited to one at a time. That would be understandable if service were faster, but it took another 20 minutes to get the second drink. We were also told drinks from the regular menu take longer, so I tried one from the specialty menu...still a 20-minute wait. It was a frustrating experience. That said, the space itself is smaller and more intimate, which could make it a nice date spot. I do think this place has potential, and I'd consider giving it another chance, hopefully with smoother service next time. Oh Beignets were amazing!! Yummy little donuts!

When we walked into this speakeasy, behind a movable shelf, I was greatly disappointed by the size of this place. It literally was the size of a walk in closet. Probably a fifth of the size of the one in Rancho. The room was so small and cramped. We sat at the round tables which was small for 2 people, and they were spaced so close to each other. Another couple sat next to us and we could here their entire conversation. The space is just so cramped. Maybe 6 round tables with barely a foot apart. Then the bar top basically when someone is sitting there, theres less then a foot of space to go inbetween. The decor is beautiful. I did enjoy the library theme. Service here is a disappointment. There was inly 2 groups (including ourselves) when we arrived and service was excessively slow. On their featured cocktails which was the same as the one in Rancho (6 drinks?), they were already out of the first 2. And mind you, they've only been open for 2 hours. We asked them to prepare unique off the menu drinks. They basically gave us drinks from the main restaurant menu. Rum for the hills and an old fashion. The bartender at the Rancho location is so much better and nicer and way more creative. Able to create unique individual drinks off the top of his head. Not here though. She asked us what we were ordering at least times. And she still got our orders (food) wrong. The glass was sticky from the sugars. We ordered no grilled onions on the burger and it came with grilled onions. She was so unsure of what they carried (alcohol wise) that she had to go ask the other guy on multiple occasions. When the bill came, we didnt get a pen to sign it with. So we went to the bar area. The guy was a total A-hole. He was like what do you want? Woah guy. We're trying to give you more of our hard earned money via tip and sign this check so we can get the heck out of here. Like chill bro. We should be there ones angry with how bad the evening went. Not you. There were multiple flies flying around our table and food. A large fly, and then a small gnat around our drink. It was gross. Overall, it was a terrible experience here. There was mystique (I give you that, love the books). But nothing high end or exclusive about it. Usage of the space and their knowledge of the drinks reminds me of a run down dive bar. They need the bartender from Rancho to come here and revamp everything about this place. The only good thing here is that we were able to order burgers (full menu availability) in this speakeasy as suppose to the one in Victoria Gardens. But besides that, I am 100% not coming back. It just isnt worth it.

The mushroom appetizer is seasoned perfectly, with just a hint of spice on the backend. It is perfectly paired with focaccia bread to soak up the sauce. I had the month's special Lobster ravioli. The sauce was a great balance of tomato and creamy flavors, but a nitpick is that within the ravioli the cheese slightly overpowered the lobster. The staff were quick, friendly, and attentive. The ambiance is quite nice with soft, warm lighting and an interesting and fun mix of textures and colors. The wall of TVs above the bar unfortunately do break the ambiance to some extent, but they're easy to ignore. I have now added Madri to my short list of downtown Redlands go-to restaurants!

The pastas were so bland. The employees seemed confused. Bad enough to not eat there again. Was so excited to share this meal with our out of town friend. Totally disappointed. Consistency and quality are the most important things a restaurant should maintain. Waste of money and time.

It was great to be able to refill as I wanted but kinda awkward to pour without making a mess at the table. Perhaps they could change to a carafe style in the future. My friend ordered a wrap which was huge! And the sweet potato fries were to die for! My steak focaccia sandwich left me wanting. There was maybe two oz of steak, not cut well, and the garlic Parmesan fries just didn't hit. Not bad but also I've had better. Service was prompt and friendly.

They have karaoke here on Wednesday's and Sunday's, which is a lot of fun. Usually I get to sing a few times, not just once, but does depend on how busy it is. Last Wednesday I got to sing three or four songs which was great! On Thursday's listening to the open mic night singers and bands is super fun. I'm not a fan of the comedians, but I just tune them out when they go up and wait for the next singer. It's easy to either order a white claw or a bottle of bubbles with oj when I'm here. Bottles here are a bit pricy, $30 for a super cheap bottle of bubbles (like 6 bucks in the store - just google Wycliff Brut), but on Wednesday's for karaoke they usually have half price bottles which is a pretty good deal if you plan to stay for karaoke. I've gotten the house salad and the cali sliders. Both were fine, not amazing, but good. I really wanted to try the duck fat chicken wings but they've been out every time I've come and this time didn't even see them on the menu anymore! I'll prob try more food around happy hour sometime since they have some pretty good happy hour deals. Service is always nice too, and I never have a problem ordering a drink. They're pretty good about leaving you alone once you have everything too - which I love as an introvert. This place is also very dog friendly and my pup is welcome here. Def come here more for dog friendly karaoke and bubbles/white claw!

I was there with my family and all the TVs were on different sports everything from hockey to Bull Riding and some MMA fights. My family and I are all practicing martial artists. I've been training 25+ years so naturally the sport we were interested in were the fights. One by one each TV that had the fights was changed to hockey. I asked my server about it and could he change one of the smaller TVs that I could see back to the fight. He left, came back and was told by his manager this was a family establishment. I'm not one to make a scene so I finished my meal, tipped my sever well as I do when they deserve it and I left a review stating my grievance on the tablet at the table as I paid my bill. The idea of it's a family establishment is bogus. I'm literally there with my family and every one of us trains BJJ and I myself train BJJ and judo and have had multiple professional fights in my younger years. My kids know this, and sometimes pull me up on YouTube to watch "Daddy fight" there's nothing virtuous about excluding one family because the unrealistic idea that another family might be offended. I was very disappointed and will not be back because I am a man of principle. I guess me and my family are just barbarians how dare we enjoy pugilistic contest. I spent a significant portion of my hard earned money to take my family there. Gas is $6 a gallon and everything is expensive, finneys needs to appreciate every customer that spends their hard earned money in their establishment. I will not be back. There are plenty of other places in town.
