Didn't make it to Katz's so this was a quick and fast pastrami fix on the way out of NYC

One of my colleagues Angelo C got a sandwich from here yesterday and it looked so yummy. I stopped by today with my colleague Grace M for lunch. There are so many options on the menu...you know how your brain is thinking this or that lol I finally came to a decision and ordered a Smoked Turkey on a roll with Mayo, lettuce and tomato...the guy picked the cheese for me as there were so many different kinds of cheese...he went with Cheddar for moi. I love how their meats are from a well known brand Boar's Head. The guy handed me a card to text in my future orders and my receipt. The cashier gave a discount as she saw my Vornado Badge #score! Stay focus and listen for your number! Ooooooo I love my sandwich and all the ingredients taste so fresh! Definitely going to be my go-to lunch spot :-)

Small very unassuming deli near the AMTRAK in Penn Station. Went for breakfast and it had a decent size line but moved VERY fast. You order, head to the register, and by the time you pay you already have your meal ready. They have a small menu for ideas but most people just come up with their own orders/fillings/combos. BREAKFAST: I got a breakfast wrap with 3 eggs, pepper jack cheese, sausage, bacon - came out to $6.55. Bacon was definitely better than most other places, thicker slices. Sausage was pretty generic, eggs were cooked well. The tortilla was your basic flour type. SUBS: Went again and got an italian hero - came out to almost $10 after tax The size was good - your regular 10ish inch sub size. Bread was fresh and there was a decent amount of meat and cheese on it, stacked about 1/4 inches high. Was it the best hero ever? no, but it was pretty good if you're into Italian subs. Service is top notch All credit cards accepted with NO minimum.

This is my bagel "with cream cheese" - the cream cheese was spread as if it was butter and I can't taste it! Waste of money.

This deli was my number one stop in Penn Station, but today I ordered a bagel with scallion cream cheese, and I sit down on the train to find... no cream cheese! I didn't eat any of it before taking this picture. I paid $1.95 for cream cheese that isn't there! And I can't fix it because I didn't open the bagel until I was on the train. No meal for me (who wants a plain bagel?)

Great spot. Meats always sliced thin, breads always soft. They always get my order correct. Total time from when I place my order to when I get the food is less than 5 minutes.

I needed something quick to grab in penn station. I stopped at the Dunkin' Donuts. For a hot tea. Next to the Dunkin' Donuts there is this don Pepe deli. I was excited to come across some real food in penn station. Don Pepe is a full deli. Using boars head cold cuts. There was 2 people in front of me. The location is small there was really no structured line. I ended up ordering a turkey lettuce tomato sandwich on a roll. It ended up costing $8 and change for the sandwich. There wasn't a lot of meat or lettuce on the sandwich. There are defiantly other delis that give you more meat. But it was enough to fill me up for lunch. If you get the combo that comes with a drink they charge you $11. I think that includes a bag of chips I'm not sure. They had salads at this location to go. I was almost going to get a salad but they were in to go containers with stuff that I dident really like. Olive and onion yuck. Well. Overall. It's defiantly a different place to eat at in penn. I would rather still come here than just get the other fast food options. I'm sure I will be back here.

Fried Egg on Bagel with Ham Cheese

I come here every time I take an early train out of Penn. They are quick and efficient. The bagel is pretty good. And the variety of meat is sufficient. Considering the price you'd do yourself a solid grabbing a sandwich here rather than stopping at Dunkin'.

Wrapped deli sandwich I can't wait to open!

A decent sandwich at a decent price - haven't found anything that beats Faicco's on Bleecker after 25 years in the city though.

There are also some tables outside if you're lucky to snag one! - FOOD - Salmon on Everything Bagel: Nicely toasted bagel, yet still has a nice chew on the inside. Huge portion of Salmon! I wish I could've tried a flavored cream cheese, but didn't want too many flavors mixing at once. I ordered the Kale Chicken Caesar Salad, which comes with grilled chicken, kale, Caesar dressing, croutons, Parmesan cheese, and a huge piece of buttered bread. I also added grilled steak cooked medium because apparently one protein wasn't enough for me. Both the chicken and steak were flavorful, and the steak was cooked exactly how I wanted it. The salad was filling enough to feel like an actual meal rather than just something light. I also ordered the Strawberry Margarita, which was only $10 thanks to their all day, everyday margarita special. And listen, they are NOT playing with that margarita. It was strong but still tasted really good, which is exactly the balance I want from a cocktail. I ate alone and really liked the seating setup. I had a cute little booth that felt perfect for a solo diner, but it would work just as well for two people. The restaurant also has plenty of seating for larger groups, so it seems like an easy choice whether you're eating alone or coming with friends or family. The servers were attentive to me and assisted me quickly. They also checked in on me multiple times. The interior was another highlight. There's a beautiful wall covered with different pieces of artwork that adds a lot of character to the restaurant and makes the space feel much more visually interesting than your typical diner. Overall, this was a great quick meal while I was out running errands. Good food, a surprisingly strong $10 margarita, and a comfortable atmosphere for dining solo. I'd definitely stop in again when I'm in the area.

I'm so glad Broad Nosh Bagels & Deli popped up in my search, as it was exactly what I was looking to enjoy. A couple of us trekked the few blocks to find the storefront. Inside it was PACKED, and several groups and lines snaked around the dividers. But the line moved quickly between customers picking up to-go meals and placing orders at the counters. The display cases are beautiful and feature so many different kinds of cream cheese. (Who knew you could make a whole vat of Biscoff?) They also had many types of smoked fish and toppings for customers filing through. Once you order food, you take your ticket to the register where you can add any drinks. This also went fairly quickly. Food and drink order numbers were called out and checked with the receipts, although they called out a set of orders for several minutes and no one came to pick them up. There are a few tables there, but since customers wait to grab drinks and food near the front, the couple tables at the front were basically for crowd control. I definitely wouldn't try to eat there unless I happened to be going at a quieter time. I got the bagel with smoked salmon, and it was exactly what I had been craving. Their bagels are a quarter pound each, so you might even get two meals out of it if you have a fridge for storage. But even as good as the bagel was, the hot chai latte with oat milk was the star for me. It was so incredibly layered for flavor and fragrant, just lightly sweet. I would go out of my way on a trip to NYC just to get one of these for breakfast! We all really enjoyed our food, and I will definitely return.

Date of visit: April 14, 2026…read more Our friend wanted to go to a real New York deli during her first trip to the city and this is the one in the vicinity of Times Square and our evening show that was the highest rated according to my fellow Yelpers, but I am not quite sure why based on our experience. Things did start out great, with Boudjema being very friendly and helpful as we placed our order. And once we got seated, we were able to fully appreciate the vibe, both in the primarily 70s playlist, but also the mirror and brass touches across the restaurant. Food-wise, however, there were some definite opportunities. My Roasted Turkey sandwich did come on quite possibly the best rye bread I have ever had, warm and flavorful. But while the gravy was also good, the turkey was cold. This odd temperature mismatch made it hard to appreciate the generous portion of meat on the sandwich. We also ordered some tater tots and those were quite good. While it definitely could have been worse--and I've had worse in New York City--this also could have been so much better.
