These are all delicious! And spicyyyy!! The spice is tolerable but it definitely kicks you a bit. The rice was good though that's not spicy at all. The food was ordered through a tablet and then brought to us after a bit. The interior had a lot of seating and was pretty big. We were the only table eating at around 1:30 p.m so it was empty. Overall, everything was good and delicious and yes, spicyyy!

Mashed century eggs and eggplants: 5/5 this combo turned out to be really good on rice. Definitely recommend. Fish with pickled cabbage (Sauerkraut): 4/5 good portion, standard

SAFETY HAZARD! Found this stiff metal strip in a dish that I took out from the restaurant (beef shank). I almost went to the ER if I hadn't chewed carefully.

Solid restaurant in downtown Redmond, especially for spicy food! The restaurant is medium-sized at a convenient location with lots of parking at RTC garages. I arrived at peak-dinner time and the restaurant was fully packed with a few parties waiting to be seated. We waited 30min for a table after putting our name in the waitlist. Food: Yeung Chow Fried rice: was quite good Beef brisket stew with potato: it was delicious, was quite spicy but enjoyable The portion was decent for the price. At the end, we got free fried pumpkin taro ball dessert which was very yummy. Service: typical, had no complaint Atmosphere: not too loud, it is suitable for conversation with friends. The restaurant is nicely decorated.

Food - 4 stars : deliciously spicy and flavorful Service - 3 stars : service was prompt and courteous. Language could be a barrier Ambience - 4 stars : Just right. Not to formal ... not too casual. Kid friendly. The food was authentic in its taste. We ordered Egg fried rice, Boiled fish and drypot cauliflower. In my observation you can always tell how good an Asian place is by their simple egg fried rice. This place had well seasoned and soft rice with eggs. Not an easy task and my kids had seconds and finished all of it. I actually thought one of the red jalapeños in the boiled fish was a carrot and boy did I find it out . This dish was a new style of boiled fish than our usual sichuanese boiled fish - had raw peppers in addition to dry ones, fish slices has skin on and the gravy was thicker and had more than just chili oil. Overall I personally like the Hunanese Style of boiled fish better. Drypot cauliflower was just okay. Nothing to write a paragraph about. They could use a lil more improvement in service but given the good food and the appetizing ambience I would give this 4 stars. Definitely.coming back sometime.

Heard they have their chef back so I tried again. Their service is much better than before and their food has improved. The taste and flavor is authentic. The fish head is a little bit "old" or aged or overcooked, but the flavor is ok. Hunan cuisine is spicy and salty so prepare for it. Add noodle to steam fish! (30mins wait for steam) Free parking!

This cuisine clearly calls itself out as Hunan Cuisine - I like the Hunan and Szechuan style of cooking due to the liberal use of chillies (spice), garlic and shallots. I was super hungry as this was my first meal of the day and overall the service though a little abrupt was quick and acceptable. The food was in parts brilliant and in other parts below even average. We ordered the steamed fish with chili which was supposed to be spicy but wasn't really spicy only a weird kind of sour. The Drypot Cauliflower with chinese bacon was my favorite dish of the day and was actually liberally filled with sauteed chili that really gave the dish it's "oomph". The fried rice was a really nice foil to the drypot dish and honestly had ample seafood in it (shrimp and crab I think) Definitely a place I would go back again but I would avoid the fish.

We got their fish and mushrooms. I've been here a couple times and it's always good although a little bit of a wait.

Restaurant has taken a downturn since the pandemic, like so many other things "sliced beef in golden soup" used to be so delicious. Now there is much less beef, and almost all the beef is fat. Gross Don't even know beef has this much body fat...I would rather the owner raises price than plays with portion size and quality

First thing I noticed when I looked at the menu was that the prices are very LA, but before you let that deter you, hear me out: the portion sizes are significantly larger than what you'd get for the same price back home. So in terms of value, you're actually getting a much better deal out here in Redmond. One thing that genuinely caught me off guard; they let me bring my puppy. If you're from LA or the 626, you already know that's basically unheard of. Redmond, Washington is on a whole different level when it comes to being pet friendly, and I loved every second of it. As for the food, it was great overall. The mala wasn't too numbing, which I appreciated, it had just enough kick without overwhelming everything else. The garlic a-choy was perfect, honestly no notes. The braised pork belly was good but I wished it was a touch softer, and I personally felt like my dishes could've used a little more salt or soy sauce, but that's an easy fix and purely personal preference. Would definitely come back next time I'm in the area.

Noodle Nine delivers a genuinely authentic dining experience that feels like stepping into a slice…read moreof everyday Asia rather than a polished, commercialized version of it. From the moment you walk in, the cultural atmosphere stands out--many of the patrons are Asian, and on my visit, a few were even dressed in traditional garments, which added a vibrant, lived-in feel to the space. It's the kind of detail you can't manufacture, and it speaks volumes about the restaurant's credibility within the community. The interior itself is fairly average--nothing particularly modern or upscale--but it doesn't detract from the experience. If anything, it keeps the focus where it belongs: on the food. Service was a bit of a mixed bag. There were only two servers handling the floor, and they were clearly stretched thin. Ordering is done digitally, which helps streamline things, but you can still feel the strain during peak times. That said, the food started arriving quickly--our tofu noodle dish came out almost immediately, while the beef dish lagged behind a bit. Presentation leans traditional in a charming way. The plates and chopsticks have that classic, no-frills aesthetic that complements the overall vibe of the restaurant. Now, let's talk about the food. First, a word of caution: spice levels here are no joke. If you're sensitive to heat, you'll want to dial it down. But if you can handle it, the flavors are absolutely worth it--rich, bold, and deeply satisfying. The tofu was exceptionally soft, almost silky, and clearly freshly prepared. The noodles matched that texture perfectly--tender, well-cooked, and comforting. Pricing is another strong point. For the quality and portion sizes, it's very reasonable, making it an easy spot to revisit without hesitation. Overall, Nine Noodles is a great pick if you're looking for authentic flavors, a culturally immersive atmosphere, and solid value. It's not about fancy decor or polished service--it's about good, honest food. I'd definitely come back.

My friend and I decided to check out Lee's Kitchen when we got off the Overlake Station on the 2 Line, and I kid you not, we waited over an hour for our food. Lee's Kitchen is located in a business strip close to Microsoft, walking distance from the Overlake Station. There are plenty of places to eat around here and you should eat at those places if you're on a lunch break and need to get back to work because Lee's Kitchen is really on their own schedule. No shits given. We visited on a Wednesday afternoon around lunch time and were the only ones dining in for most of the time we were here. Most of the tables had not been cleared, so they must've had a rush of people before we visited. There's a QR code at the table where you can order and pay for your food. I ordered the braised pork belly with rice and shared the rice noodle roll with shrimp and beef with my friend. He ordered the wonton noodle soup, which took over an hour to get. My meal came out first and then eventually the rice noodle roll dish came. And then half an hour later after sitting there, the server comes by and tells my friend they ran out of bamboo noodles, which is what he requested for his dish. Over half an hour later, he received his food. Was it worth the wait? No. Sadly, I can't recommend Lee's Kitchen especially with how many more fantastic Chinese restaurants there are nearby. Service is lackluster with food that does not impress or would have me visit again. Not for me and it shouldn't be for anyone on a schedule.

The inside is surprisingly large with at least twenty tables, which is bigger than most Korean restaurants that I've seen on the Eastside. At 11:45am on a Saturday, my group of three had no problem getting a table. Their menu is extensive and has all the Korean food classics including seafood pancake, soondubu (stone pot tofu soup), galbi jjim (beef stew), Toppokki, bibimbap, and cold noodles (spicy and non-spicy versions). Their entrees are around $20 each, but some larger hot pot dishes (meant for 2-3 people) can be up to $70. I ordered the BULGOGI BIBIMBAP (~$24). Unfortunately they don't serve stone pot Bibimbap here, but the portions are large and beautifully presented. My dish came with plenty of fresh vegetables- pickled carrots and cucumbers, sesame bean sprouts, daikon kimchi, lettuce, and marinated black mushrooms (which I've never had in Bibimbap before but was soooo good) on top a bed of fluffy white rice! The egg was cooked perfectly over easy and the meat was marinated well too- I do wish the dish came with more meat though. They give you your typical sweet and spicy gochujang red sauce on the side as well as white vinegar and mustard sauce for added flavor. Service was fantastic and you get complimentary hot tea and ban chan (which are refillable). The ban chan included cucumber kimchi, daikon kimchi, sesame bean sprouts, kimchi, fish cake, and sesame choy. All employees were very friendly and made you feel at home.
