This was a good experience with a service provider. I asked for a quote on yelp, I was contacted quickly, a person came out right away and went over the three doors I had issues with, we ordered a new, heavy duty screen door for one and scheduled the install and fix of the other two sliders for 2 days later. On that day I was contacted to let me know the installer was on the way. He fixed my two rough-operating sliders and installed the new sliding screen in about an hour. I did write a review that was somewhat negative. The guys that worked on the doors were great. I just needed them to roll a little better. Their door technicians are knowledgeable and thorough. Our two garage doors and door openers were both installed by Door Pros. Recently, I had a problem with one side of one of the garage door's cabling coming off the spool. The technician knew what the problems could be and indicated that he would check all the potential causes for the cable coming off track to make sure that it would not occur in the future. He also lubricated all the friction points and checked all the connections. He took the time to do a good and thorough job. After completing the work, he went through all the things he did and what we could do to between our annual door maintenance to keep our doors operating efficiently and quietly. No response once the door was installed and paid for. Ryan was my salesman. Not current with software. I had to dumb down my door so it didn't get screwed up. I got a bid from Costco and gave it to Ryan and he was supposed to match it.. It ended up costing me a lot more money with less value. I decided to go local that was a mistake.It took 5 months to get the door. Then when they came out to install it they sent one guy and never bother to tell him you cannot open the driveway gate. There is very little communication going on in this company. I also asked about the track?? and was informed it would void my warranty which is hysterical considering they used part of the existing track that was already there???? I called and left a message to have my invoice sent to me which was never done. Ryan did not want to text anymore and I do not trust him if it's not in writing. So unfortunately what was supposed to be a great addition to my house became a headache. And very expensive $5000 for a garage door that is really not that spectacular spectacular is a lot of money. Wow. If I could, I would award this vendor zero stars. That and shake my head in wonderment and disgust. Because of the overwhelming number of Senior Citizens who live in the sunny and warm Coachella Valley, part of the California Desert, it seems that many vendors have a loosy-goosy 'do-whatever-we-want' attitude towards their customers. After all, these folks are old and probably won't realize what is happening anyway. I once had an air-conditioning vendor out here sell me an 18 SEER Fujitsu unit for our garage, and install a 13 SEER unknown brand until I caught them red-handed and made them replace it with the $2,000-more cost A/C I ordered and paid for! Wrong. Vendors, we have the money, time and high standards from a lifetime of success and good retirement. Do not pee on our legs and tell us it's raining. I had faith in this vendor from a previous repair job. My faith and trust apparently was misdirected. I received a proposal (no paperwork was ever signed or initialed) to do a complete removal and replacement with an all-around upgrade to my existing automatic garage door system. This was supposed to be an Almond-colored steel, insulated top-of-the-line garage door which the vendor, Mr. Mark Higbie, told me face-to-face "will be even better than your existing insulated door." The garage door opener was to be upgraded from 1/3rd HP to 1/2HP with the latest security technology. We would receive new tracks, new sensors, new wall switches, and new remote controls. A total upgrade. On the day of the install I got up, moved my vehicle outside, and proceeded to move everything out of the way of the installers, whom I expected at 8 a.m. I received a call at 8:30 a.m. that the vendor, Door-Pros, 'received the wrong door.' Instead of an Almond-color, steel, insulated door, they claim to have received a white-color, vinyl, lower-quality door. The vendor had the temerity to ask me if I could take this cheaper door and "have it painted Almond." Huh? I asked for the best in almond and you want to install cheap stuff? We never discussed the supporting system but you can bet this would also have somehow morphed into something cheaper and under-powered from what my wife and I wanted. Now look. We are blessed to be able to afford what we want, and pay for it in full. If we want Air Jordan's, we don't want you to switch it to Joe Jablonski's, and expect us to accept this meekly and quietly. We are now back at Square One with our new garage door and opener, but I will find someone who will supply what we want, when we want it! Door Pro's could not fulfill their proposal at the last minute and wanted to substitute lesser quality goods. This is unacceptable with our income and in our gated community. And why in Heaven's name would we want to put a white garage door on an almond-colored home???? Avoid Door Pros of the Coachella Valley unless you want to open the door to colossal problems and roadblocks. read more

Eric called ahead to say he was on his way, investigated the problem and demonstrated what he found, recommended solution alternatives and thoroughly explained them, installed a replacement opener quickly, showed me what he'd done and explained the operation, and left me a happy customer (another happy customer, based on the reviews I've read). And the new door opener works so silently that when I was attempting to close the door from inside the car, I kept hitting the button, raising and lowering it repeatedly, because it was so quiet I thought it hadn't engaged! It's nearly silent. The only problem with that is that I will no longer be warned by the noisy door opening if an ax murder pulls his car into the garage so as to kill me in privacy. We own a vacation home in Big Horn and have very large heavy sliding glass doors. After calling several door companies to fix my Sliding Glass Door I found an actual "Licensed" company that could work on my Fleetwood doors. Several years ago at a previous home in Rancho Mirage we used an unlicensed contractor and were victimized by a company that wasn't accountable . Long story short these guys are real "Door Pros". Very unhappy with them. Their rep seemed lazy, uninterested in even giving an estimate on weatherstipping 3 large garage doors. We went forward with them anyway, but then they didn't call as promised to schedule the work, until we called them back twice. If that weren't enough, we used their time estimate to schedule the work first thing in the morning, in advance of a doctor appointment, but then they didn't show when they said they would, and didn't even call. We called them again, and it turns out they'd scheduled someone else before us. We ended up canceling the job. Terrible service. read more
