Giving Dosan a 3-stars because the space itself is honestly beautiful. The outside is what first caught our attention, and the inside is just as nice--very clean, stylish, and it definitely looks like it should be a popular spot. But every time we drive by, there's barely anyone there, and after visiting, I understand why. They really need better marketing and more of a clear identity. We didn't even know what kind of food they served until we walked in. It feels like they're trying to be high-end, but the restaurant has a bit of an identity crisis. We later found out it used to be a buffet, and now it seems like they're trying to rebrand without really creating enough buzz around it. They need promotions, events, maybe even live music--something to bring people in. The menu is extremely limited, and there's no kids' menu at all, which was frustrating for a family dinner. They ended up handing us the lunch menu just to compensate. My daughter ordered the Alfredo pasta, and it honestly didn't taste like Alfredo--it mostly tasted like oil. Adding Parmesan helped a little, but it was still disappointing. The bread was decent enough. I ordered the cod with rice and asparagus, and it was okay--probably the best part of the meal--but nothing that made me feel like I'd come back for it. The waiter was kind and doing their best to answer questions, so no complaints there. Overall, it just felt like a restaurant with potential but no real direction. Nice atmosphere, decent service, but the food and overall experience didn't match the high-end vibe they seem to be aiming for. Unfortunately, I wouldn't return.

Came during my hour lunch because I wanted something healthy and found reviews online about their salad bar. Took some time to be greeted but once I paid $15 for the salad and soup bar things went quick! They have lots of options for salads, a wide variety and lots of dressings as well. They had 2 soups at the time and I went with the pozole they had! It was pretty good for a place in clovis like this. The waitress came back and told me all about the happy hour and other things they offer since I didn't have time for the full experience! I'd love to try to meat station and other side they have. I'll definitely be coming back here when I have more time to sit and eat! (Nice vibe inside and a good replacement for sweet Tomatoes)

I would give Dosan FIVE STARS for ambience! The open dining area has comfortable booths surrounding the periphery of the room. The ONLY place in FRESNO/CLOVIS area, that plays low volume, instrumental jazz in the background. It's a pleasant and peaceful environment. Truly a unique and peaceful atmosphere. They also have a patio, that could be enjoyable in the evenings. We were here two days after the opening, so one must give them time to get up and running. They had various pickled items on the salad bar (yellow cauliflower, cucumbers, and large radish slices) and a good variety of greens. The potato salad was delicious! The pasta items and wedge potatoes were VERY tasty, however, they were not 'hot' . . . They will have to experiment on tweaking their heating elements, as those items were just lukewarm, as well as my carved turkey. At the carving station, you can ask them to 'assemble' a sandwich for you! My husband came back with a pastrami sandwich that he enjoyed. Dessert consisted of a variety of; cookies, brownies, muffins, and rice crispy bars. It was $25 each for all you can eat, and drinks are separate. Service is friendly.

Went on opening day expecting first day hiccups. $25 for the all you can eat buffet and another $9 for one trip to the carving station. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was nice. The gentleman at the carving station was very polite and agreeable. Everything at the salad bar was fresh and delicious. Dressings were good. Besides the salad bar, the best items were the house made pickles, mustard, pepperoni pizza, and Italian wedding soup. There were many things that could be improved. Overall, almost everything needed more seasoning, including salt. The meats were a disappointment. The pastrami was juicy and tender, but barely had a hint of pastrami spice. The turkey and beef were dry and mealy. The au jus had a layer of oil on the top. The sauerkraut and grilled onions were kind of flavorless too. The mac and cheese looked amazing, but tasted like nothing. Corn bread was dry and crumbly and biscuits were rock hard. The red sauce for the pasta tasted like tomato paste. The desserts were just ok, nothing special. All in all, $9 for the carving station option would be a great deal if the meats were better, and $25 for just the salad bar is not a great value. We may go back again, but not for at least a few months.

Tangerine & Beet salad

This place was very clean, open and airy. The service was excellent. You can see in my photos what we had - of course, we had to trade small slices with each other of our food: it was all very good, especially the chicken panini. They also have a soup and salad bar. They had a special going on for $5 margaritas. I plan on going back.

The restaurant itself is nice, comfortable, nice atmosphere. Staff extremely attentive! The food is ok. Not bad, but not great. I won't go there again due to the cost. $24.99 for the buffet and $4.00 for a soda. If it was $20 including a drink, yes, I'd say it's worth it.... Maybe.

How much is for buffet?

It was $25 for the buffet and like $4 for the fountain drinks. You can get wine and other alcohol as well.

That changed quickly though. By the time we had been seated for about 30 minutes, the restaurant was filling up fast and I could see why people recommend making a reservation. The inside is beautiful but still feels warm and cozy. One of my favorite parts was the sauce bar in the back. I always get excited when hot pot places have a good sauce bar because it's fun trying different combinations, and this one had plenty of options. Every bowl ended up tasting a little different depending on what I mixed together. There were only three of us and we were having a hard time deciding what to order. Thankfully our server, Latonza, was amazing and helped us figure everything out. She answered our questions, made recommendations and helped narrow things down without making us feel rushed. We ended up getting the Shabu Shabu for 2 and added some extra meats, sides and another broth. I loved that everyone could choose a broth they liked and cook everything exactly how they wanted. I got the Taiwanese Spicy Mala broth and it was packed with flavor. Also, it's nice that I didn't have to cook for everyone because I'm usually the last to eat lol This time everyone was on their own! For meats, we ordered the prime rib, short rib, and sirloin. They came out sliced super thin and cooked in just a few seconds. My husband also added crab sticks, and the set came with a nice variety of vegetables, tofu, sausages and other items. There was more than enough food for us. I did ask if they used Fresno State Corn since it's the season! But they do not since they can't get it all year round. Had to ask! Overall, we really enjoyed our meal here. The restaurant was clean, the food was delicious and the service was what really made the experience stand out. We'll definitely be back.

Dog House Grill has the BEST tri-tip sandwiches ever! Trust me, I have tried others and nothing compares. Upon arrival, parking is always full. If you have some time to wait, it will start to clear slowly. Entrance always has a long line to order food. Another way to order is inside where you find a table by the bar area and be served by a waiter/waitress. The ambiance is sports related so you'll see big screen TVs everywhere with all kind of sports playing and sports decor on the walls. Seating can be a bit of a wait since it's always busy so you kinda have to stand around and wait for tables to clear out or you might even get lucky and find one right away. Ordering is easy, big screens for menus upon entering and cashiers waiting to take your order. Once you order your food, it's a bit of a wait until they call your number. Our order today was 2 tri tip sandwiches and a side of fries. Totaling out $40. - Tri-tip sandwiches are $17 each. Worth it every single time. 1000/10 - Side of fries is actually a pretty large order. Seasoned a bit and for the size and taste 8/10 All in all, a great place to eat. I crave this often and it's located near the Savemart Center/Fresno State area which you can't miss. You can even smell it from a close distance. But in all seriousness, go try it. You won't regret it.

Everything came out super fast, and me and my friends ended up splitting a bunch of different items so we could try more of the menu. We started with the buffalo cauliflower as an appetizer, which was honestly the only slightly disappointing thing we had. It just felt like it could have used a little more sauce and flavor. We also shared a spring salad that was super fresh, flavorful, and really good as well. For our meals, we both got the Mediterranean chicken plates. I had the strawberries as one of my sides along with the rigatoni, which the employee taking my order actually recommended to me. He was so kind and helpful since it was my first time there, and his recommendations were spot on. We also got Greek frozen yogurt for dessert. I ordered the "Go Bananas," and it was absolutely delicious, although sadly I didn't get a picture of it before eating it. Overall, this place was phenomenal. We honestly considered going back again during our short three-day trip because we enjoyed it that much, but we just didn't end up finding the time.

The garlic fries were great and had a lot of flavor, but I myself prefer fresh chopped garlic instead of fried garlic. My bf ordered the tri tip sandwich, which we were pleasantly surprised that it was tri tip within a burger instead of just a tri tip sandwich. My friends liked their food as they ordered the combo plates and there were a lot of different food options.

I've driven past this spot more times than I can count and every single time I was like... "one…read moreday." It just had that look, you know the kind of place that's either gonna change your life or ruin your afternoon. Plot twist: it changed my life. Slightly dramatic? Maybe. Accurate? Also yes. My fiancée isn't really a burger person, so getting her to agree to this felt like closing a high stakes negotiation. I finally got the green light and IMMEDIATELY knew I made the right call. I went full send and ordered a triple smash burger with loaded fries because self control does not exist when I'm hungry. And bro... this thing was DISRESPECTFUL in the best way possible. Crispy edges, juicy center, cheese melted like it had a purpose in life. Every bite felt like gluttony. The Hammy fries? Yeah those didn't stand a chance. Gone. Eliminated. No survivors. It had a effing burger patty on top. What I really liked is that it's simple but done right. No gimmicks, no trying to be fancy just straight up dialed in smash burgers that hit every time. The kind of place where you take your first bite and just nod silently like "mmhmm... yup.... That's right." Even my fiancée who came in skeptical was like "okay wait this is actually good," which is basically a Michelin star equivalent to me. If you're in Fresno and you like burgers (or even if you think you don't), do yourself a favor and pull up. Just be prepared to leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.
