Use to go to this taco truck 2 days a week, literally was my fav! Food never fails but I found a long piece of hair in my tacos about 2 months ago I was so disappointed and disgusted so I stopped going. I decide to give them another try today because I was in the area and saw the worker with the truck door open and a long ponytail of hair that was not in a net and the table with sauces was so dirty and had hair on the table around the condiments, I left immediately. whenever I am hungry my first instinct is to grab some tacos. I mean what's better than tacos after finals , a late night of drinking or grabbing a bite to eat before heading home but unfortunately i haven't be able to find any in the south bay that impresses me. I have to drive all the way to south central to actually get my hands on good street tacos. I drove around for 30 mins in search for something closer to me and I came about Doty tacos in gardena. Let me tell you, for a taco truck, they taste like street tacos. I had zero complaints expect for the cucumbers were spicy as hell. Pastor tacos were perfectly tender with perfect flavor (they beat Leo's tacos in santa monica ) I mean Every bite was to die for. They ever had shrimp tacos ! what's better than that. They were as good as the pastor tacos. I also got a Asada quesadilla which was good but didn't out beat South central tacos but came just as close. Food was good however will not be going back to this place due to horrible service, unfriendly staff, and chaotic experience. Very disorganized system, unsafe food handling, not adhering to social distancing guidelines. Waited 25 minutes for my food. When my number was called , I was given the wrong order. However I didn't get the worst of it. This poor guy had been waiting 40 minutes for an order of 6 tacos. He made numerous attempts to inquire on his order and was simply brushed off. This is one of my favorite taco trucks! The line can get long but moves quickly. I eat at this truck at least once a week. My only complaint is theres no prices listed for the items and a wet burrito costs $11 which is way too much. I only order the tacos at $1 except for the Carnitas that are $2. Last night my boyfriend and I were starving after work so we decided to finally stop by this Doty's Taco truck we always pass by. You know when you're hungry, anything good. But this? indeed was not. We ordered 4 chicken tacos along with some beans and rice and two cans of soda that summed up to $14. The chicken was bland and tasteless, my grandma needa come up in there and season the food at this point. The rice was cold and the beans had a little warmth to it, but the portions were extremely small, they being stingy. The salsa bar and other ingredients looked a little old and dry. The avocado salsa was okay, not too much though. Our favorite thing off this truck was the soda . Definitely not eating here again. Ever. use to always go to this stand until i was over charged the guy charged me a $1 for using my debit card and $1 for taxes. i have always been only charged $1 for using my debit card and never a extra $1 for taxes but when i pay in cash there is no tax. dont try to charge costumers extra money for using debit cards if you guys are taxing for your food tax everyone the same dont pick and choose who you wanna tax. i always support local businesses just be fair! read more

Disappointed for sure, first and last time I come here. $35 for 2 burritos and 3 tacos 3 sodas, wow!!!! Now taste, as soon as We open my burrito it was drenched in grease and not to mention salty as heck. These burritos were not edible not even if it was after a night of alcohol. Don't let the address fool you. This truck is "parked: outside of Dat Moi Market on Crenshaw in Gardena (just below Rosecrans). What made me choose Doty's? (stutters) What had happened was....I was drunk and needed some grease (although their food wasn't really greasy). Enough of that, let's get to the food. I ordered a chicken taco and asada burrito. The taco was extremely small, and the burrito was a bit on the small side too, but had a lot of flavor. Last but not least, the condiments...all salsas were great, but those spicy cucumber were the truth! YOU might not be able to hang with those. **EDIT (11.28.16)** That carne asada torta is amazing!!! This is the first time Yelp has EVER let me down. Are you all getting paid to leave all these reviews?!? I am soooooo disappointed and not satisfied.. At. All. I spent $19 on 4 asada mulitas, 2 asada tacos and a horchata. Since it was to go my order was wrapped in foil and bagged so I assumed it was done. I got home and the first thing I thought was "Shit I didn't even double check if my order was complete." Sure enough I unwrap my two plates and there were 2 mulitas on one plate and 2 mulitas on the other. For some reason one plate of mulitas were cut in half whereas the other plate was not. Was this supposed to trick me into thinking my order was complete?!?! To seem as if my total order of 6 items were actually there?!?! What a rip off. There goes $4 down the drain. UGH. Even the horchata tastes a little off. How can you go wrong with horchata?!? What's worse is that I noticed the C grade it has from the health department just as I was leaving. GROSS!
