Had the pleasure of coming to Doughbird on opening night, and I must say that I am happy to welcome it with open arms to the neighborhood! The food was great, the service was spot on, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. For food, we decided to go with the rotisserie plate instead of the pizza, and I am so glad we did! The skin on the bird was crispy and the meat was juicy, but the star was 100% the side sauce. We ordered the jalapeno pesto, and oh my lord.....I would bathe in that stuff if it wasn't frowned upon. The jalapeno pesto was fresh, bright and had just the right amount of spice to it. We asked out waitress if they would sell us a jar of it, and unfortunately she couldn't, but if they ever start bottling that stuff I'm picking up a few and putting it on everything. Seriously, get that sauce...it's amazing! And the atmosphere is what you've come to love about Fox restaurants. It's comfortable yet hip, and not stuffy in the least so everyone can feel comfortable to come dine here. Definitely a great place for a dinner out with friends, or a casual date night. All in all I am psyched to have Doughbird to add to my restaurant rotation, and cannot wait to go back and dine again! read more

Restaurant has been open for a week and the service by Hunter was impeccable, our waiter was by no means new. One of the better servers I have had in quite some time. Had the Margherita Pizza, Pastrami Pizza, Prime Rib Dip Sandwich and the Peach Streusel Pie. The Margherita Pizza was very good according to my daughter and she loved the fresh mozzerella and she is pretty particular about pizza. I ordered the Pastrami Pizza with roasted Kale, it does taste alot better than it sounds. This combination was pretty good and enjoyed each slice. We shared the Prime Rib Dip Sandwich and forgot to tell them to place the horse radish on the side, it was too overwhelming for her, but not bad for me. The meat was plentiful and the au jus was a good temperature. It was my birthday and I have been wanting to try the restaurant, so when our waiter Hunter found out it was my birthday, he told me to pick a dessert on the house, we chose the Peach Struesel Pie with Ice Cream and I must say you can't go wrong with that choice. First time dining in. For starters I decided to try the guacamole which I thought would be very unique since it had green apple and tangerine with almonds. However when we actually tried it, we're actually disappointed. The chunks of tangerine and large slices of apple were thrown on top of the avocado. I'd actually refer to this as a avocado salad. Guacamole is NOT the word I'd use for this dish. In addition they served it with really thick and chewy nacho chips. Extremely stale. So I asked for fresh chips and the waitress apologized and got 'fresh' chips but only brought back 4 chips hoping that would be enough for us. So then I had to complain again and tell her that 4 chips is not enough. Aside from the extremely disappointing avocado salad (also known as guacamole at doughbird) the pizza definitely hit the spot! Got Margherita with hot honey and the Avitaor. Stick to their pizza! Definitely worth trying. read more

We went here to celebrate my husband's and my birthday this past Saturday. We had an earlier dinner at 4:30 and no wait! Our waitress was awesome, and even offered to make us a new pizza when my husband forgot to ask to remove an ingredient from the pizza. Salads were very flavorful with quite a few good options. I loved the chicken/avocado salad. Pizzas were all good - the crust is almost like a flatbread (thicker and fluffier). Our family shared the following pizza's and loved them all: The Aviator, Prosciutto and Goat Cheese, Margherita, and Brussels Sprout. Only complaint is it all feels a bit overpriced, but we would still come back! read more

The food is spectacular! My new favorite place. I can't believe there isn't a line out the door for this place. We ordered the Rotisserie Chicken with garlic butter sauce and potato wedges which were crispy. That sauce is tremendous. We also ordered wood-fired butternut squash pizza with ricotta and spicy honey. I know it sounds strange but it was one of the best things I ever tasted. The wine selection is above par. We literally never had a bad experience at dough bird and it seems to only get better and better! This time we brought my mom, after her and I got pretty tipsy at century grand the cocktail bar down the road before our dinner reservation. Aaron our waiter was totally up for our shenanigans and was ready for any ridiculous requests we made. We were kind of joking around and my mom asked for a single fry on top of her roasted veggies and my husband asked for his fries in a bowl separate so he can hide them them his mother in law. Aaron and the staff literally did that! It was so funny and just a sweet touch that he actually listened. Early dinner Sunday night. First time here. Had very high expectations due to Yelp reviews, we were not disappointed. Started with apple goat cheese salad. Told our very nice server we were sharing. Salad arrived on separate plates, generous portion, plenty for two. Fresh greens, crisp apple slices, sliced grapes, delicious. Thin, crusty sausage and mushroom pizza followed. Chewy style crust, slight char, some really nicely glazed mushrooms and tasty sausage. Then came one half rotisserie chicken, which I carved for us. Moist, fresh tasting, quality bird. Came with outstanding crisp potato wedges and the very best pineapple teriyaki sauce we've had. Flavor so intense, it was over the top delicious. We were full, and had leftovers, but wanted to try the almond Joy trifle dessert. So rich we couldn't finish it. Whipped cream, chocolate, coconut. Restaurant very well styled. Clean, comfy, modern, unpretentious. Still felt upscale and just a tad trendy. Nicely done. Our server was friendly and efficient. I order from Doughbird through Grubhub and I never received my order so I was a bit upset but I reached out to the manager PJ the next day and the customer service is beyond impeccable. He apologized profusely and made sure I was taken care of he gave me a gift card and I will be calling the restaurant and ordering curbside. So I suggest making plans ahead of time because we waited about an hour. But hey it was worth it! First we started with their Truffled Cheese Bread - ricotta, provolone, fontina, simple red sauce. Then we shared their Buffilo Wings and their Barbeque Chicken - charred corn, red onion, jalapeño pesto, cilantro, chicken and white cheddar. I think this was the best way to try their pizza and their chicken. Great combination of toppings. Everything complimented each other nicely. A recent visit to the area brought us to Doughbird to try this fox concepts restaurant. We shared an appetizer of the truffle cheese Stromboli which was very good. Hubby enjoyed his 1/2 chicken dinner with cauliflower mashed potatoes and horseradish dipping sauce. I had a Caesar salad and was able to add some of his chicken to my salad. They also serve pizza here which we will try at another time. The restaurant is beautiful with indoor and outdoor dining. During the busy dinner hours they have complimentary valet. We both enjoyed the food but found it to be on the pricey side at $17 for his chicken and $9.00 for my salad. Appetizer was $12.00. Honey is the "chicken connoisseur" of the family and said the chicken was moist both dark and white meat. I wish they had more options as far as chicken goes, but a solid performance. read more

Came in with family and ordered them a Mac and cheese and kids pepperoni pizza and a chicken with mashed potatoes. Us parents ordered a standard specialty pizza Teuffle cheese bread beer and sangria. Kids got served 1st as expected Mac and cheese was bland and undercooked Pepperoni pizza my son asked why it tasted funny after trying a bite it seemed off ans asked the server if maybe the crust is sourdough as that's what it seemed like might be the case, response was no it's just the oven ans it makes it taste different, that seemed mike more of excuse then a reason to me My toddler got the chicken and mashed potatoes and that was honestly the best tasting thing any of us had Truffle bread never came and when asked why the app wasn't out yet was told it would be out with the pizza it takes a while. I'm sorry but it's my experience that the app should come before the main course otherwise what's the point? Pizza came and it was black, very overcooked and while I can see the concept of artisan pizza burt pizza is still burn pizza regardless Lastly to try and turn the dinner around ordered the butterscotch cake and ice cream and that was enjoyable kids liked it and it was large enough to share With all of this said I am very very unlikely to return and even give them a second chance. Curbside was okay but pepperoni pizza and sausage pizza were very overpriced for such small pizzas and nothing special when it comes to taste plus the toppings and cheese were not spread evenly and too much bare crust around the edges with toppings and cheese just in the center area. This local pizza spot is amazing. We started with a couple drinks (pictured), mixed to perfection. We coupled this with the cheese bread that was a nice 6" shareable app, pizza crust topped with light mozz and salty parm and spices. Then completed the meal with the butternut squash pizza with the spicy honey. This was like eating a dessert for dinner with a little peppery kick. If you are thinking savory or sweet this would be the sweet category but delicious none the less.
