Took my three boys to Drive Shack and was thoroughly impressed. I play golf but they don't and they lived it, as did I! We arrived on Saturday around 11:00 and were greeted with a smile and quick service. We grabbed a secondary floor bay. Games were easy to set up and fun to play. They even had clubs available if you don't have. We did. The boys, 11,9 and 7 all enjoyed their time and stayed engaged. We ordered some nachos and meatballs which came out quick and tasty. Ive been to a lot of differentTop Golfs but since I am not the best golfer; Ive had a better time at Drive Shack. Only because their trackman technology is more my type of game. I dont have to aim for holes to score like they do at Top Golf. We've had a great time here for a work event and with just some friends. Today I took the trip out to Drive Shack Richmond, started off great, immediately taken to the bay. There I was served by my wonderful duo of servers Emily and Caleb. They were both great! It is frustrating that they will not allow teenagers under 17 to come here unaccompanied with friends or on a date. A parent has to sit at the table the whole time. This is ridiculous. These kids can drive cars before they are 17, why can't they play a game alone at drive Shack Richmond? read more

I'm not sure how this place gets 4 stars. I made a reservation online for the same day, (well at least I thought I did). About an hour before our reserved time, I get an email saying they will get back to me in 48 hours...huh!. I call and was told that the online reservation system was for large groups and not same-day. Well, why have a system that would accept a same-day reservation? I was told the current wait time was about 30 minutes, ok no problem we head over. The two girls at the front desk tell us they will be opening the downstairs area at 2 pm, great the rest of the group won't arrive until then anyway. I ask for our name to be put on a list, but they say it isn't necessarily the whole downstairs that will be available. We go to check in at 2:04, but nothing is available yet it will be another 10 minutes. After 20+ minutes still nothing. I go back to the desk to find out what happened. They acted like I had just got there and one girl had an attitude. We finally get settled on the 2nd floor after another 15 minutes only to be disappointed by the horrible horrible food which didn''t even come out all together. The servers were nice but unfortunatly it did not make up for the rest poor service and horrible food. read more

Games was good, however the service was TERRIBLE! Our waitress was nice, but extremely slow. While she looked for someone's credit card she loss, we didn't have any service. We also helped her look for it. We asked for refills on water and didn't get it, my son asked for a refill and didn't get it. My niece's husband waited 20 mins or more for his soda. We waited an hour for our check. When I kindly asked how much longer, the manager made it our fault saying we split our check 17 different ways (which we didn't). I told him that we had been waiting for 45 minutes in which he replied I didn't know you've been waiting that long. Part of the wait was because our server was talking to people she knows for about 30 minutes. We went to another manager which also made it our fault due to splitting our checks. If they would of told us they were having a hard times, we would have worked with them. Very disappointed. read more

We went last weekend for my husbands birthday and we had a great time while we were there! The games were fun, the food was great, and the overall atmosphere was amazing. Unfortunately, when we checked our bank account the next day, we had a $40 charge to Drive Shack that wasn't ours. I called immediately and was told that a manager would call me back to fix the issue and no one ever called me back. I have since called twice and no one has answered the phone. I've left messages and no one has returned my call. It's a shame that such a great experience is now tainted because of terrible customer service. We will not be returning. read more

Very Good Place...But Food Took aleast an Hour I get that the places had only been out for 2 days but food took to long they need to fix it.

I wish I could give 3.5 stars, because that's more fitting for our experience. We've been here twice and have had very similar experiences both times. The service seems to be "first server jobs" don't know about the beer, kind of uncomfortable and forgets about us for long periods of time. The first time we went our server disappeared for so long that we thought we weren't supposed to pay in our bay, so we hung around doing video games? It was awkward. She ran up to us out of breath saying she thought we left because someone else had done that to her. But she was on an emergency call with her boyfriend so.....sorry about that. Today when we asked about the seasonal beer rotation his answer was I don't really know about beer. So we ordered cocktails and they were weak and yuck. And we had to ask 3 times for kids golf clubs (Hubs went to just get them himself after the 3rd time and 20 mins of golfing). Okay. That being said, the energy is amazing. The golf is fun and beautiful and interactive and exciting and we really love it here. We just won't come to be served dinner, just to golf. read more

We went to watch the band play, which was great. However, our server, Niah was awful! We waited a good 20 minutes to order and watched her pass us multiple times. We had to wave her down to take our order and she was extremely rude and had an attitude the whole time. Can't say we'll be back if that's the type of server they hire. read more

Had a bacon blue cheese burger blue cheese sauce was very good bacon was crispy and tasty. The burger consisted up to paper thin patties that were over cooked and tough and dry, would not recommend a burger from this place. Then when leaving the establishment you have to make a right hand turn on the Broad Street and go a frigging mile to make a U-turn to go back to Direction you want to go I'll just wait for Topgolf this place has a lot of growing pains to get over read more

We invited 4 friends to join us tonight for an impromptu evening. Arrived at 4pm, waited an hour for a lane. Which on a Saturday was to be expected. While waiting, we went to the 2nd floor bar. We waited at least 20 minutes of that hour just to order our first drink. The service was so slow and chaotic that we never made it to ordering food or more drinks before being called for our lane 40 minutes later. We arrived to our lane, the actual golf game was great. It was lots of fun with interchangeable games. The service was better but still subpar. The food was mediocre at best. We paid extra for pulled pork on nachos and it was almost non existent to the point that I had to look for it. The grilled cheese and tater tots were good but cold. Overall, we will go back for the game and maybe not for the food. read more

I usually have a rule not to go to places when they first open since they are probably working out the kinks. We decided to come on a Sunday night. We had a wait so we decided to get something to eat upstairs. The hostess seemed a little frazzled when we walked up, she didn't even acknowledge us even though there was no one in the line waiting. When she did acknowledge us we got seated pretty quickly. That was the last quick thing of the night. We sat there for about 10mins before I got the hostess attention that we hadn't been waited on. She said she would be right back. She never came back. I see her walking here to there and I got someone else attention who was waiting on another table that got seated after us. She came over to wait on us. This young lady was very nice but it still took forever for us to get our food order. Plus I needed up having to go to the bar to get something to drink. The waitress told us that this was the most frantic night they have had (even though it wasn't that bad) and that the hostess wasn't use to the type of situation. It was not the best night. We didn't end up playing bc we were so hungry that we just wanted to eat and it was getting late. We deferred our session so I'm sure we will return, hopefully it will be better. read more

Went on a Friday night around 8pm. Only had to wait for about 30/45 minutes, so my group of 7 decided to wait at the bar. They had a DJ and atmosphere was really awesome. Bar staff seemed young and uninterested in anything other than closing time. When we finally got our bay, our waitress was clearly more interested in her partner (who also worked there and seemingly off the clock playing solo in the bay next to us). Which I may add that she was clearly intoxicated or on something. Crazy behavior that most other staff members overlooked or encouraged. Our game system kept freezing, which added insult to injury because we couldn't play and weren't getting served. We probably would have spent a lot more just in alcohol with standard service. That said, the "tech" guy was super friendly and fixed our game multiple times and added 30 minutes back to our game time because of the issue. My friends and I all come from a customer service background and can appreciate busy evenings and such, but our waitress just flat out had no interest in serving (and they weren't busy). Each time she came to the table it was to remove glasses or plates. She asked no questions so she could hurry off to socialize. One food item took an hour to get to us. We actually didn't think she put the order in it had taken so long. On multiple occasions we went to the bar instead of waiting and then the bar was too busy cleaning and turning chairs upside down like they were closing (at 1030/11pm) we actually asked if they were closing. It's really a shame because this is such a cool place, but the overall vibe is uninviting. I've had multiple experiences at Topgolf, not locally, but do have to say it's worth spending more for their "quality," experience. read more
