After reading all the reviews, i was quite disappointed. I had an apptmt for an oil change,but when I arrived,they didn't have me in the system. No biggie. When I tell them what kind of car I drive, they told me I need the full synthetic oil change for 2x the price I came in for or else I would void my manufacturer's warranty.After telling them I've always r/c the reg synth oil thru the dealership,they said they'll take a look at it but pretty sure it requires full synthetic.Sure enough,he comes back to tell me I need to have it.i told him I just want the reg synthetic oil.They seemed upset w/ me.I will not be coming back due to the customer service even if I have to drive out of my way for an oil change. read more

Kelly and all the guys at Driver's Edge are top notch. I'm a weekend mechanic and handle the majority of my own auto repairs (as well as for my wife, parents, son etc). However there are times that I simply can't tackle a job (might be because I don't know how or could be that I'm getting old and lazy) and that's where Driver's Edge comes in. For example, over the past few weeks I had replaced a number of items on my parent's truck. Brakes, struts, suspension components, water pump etc. A few days later there was a popping noise coming from one of the struts. Having run out of free time to address the issue, I swallowed my pride and had mom take it in. 45 minutes later Kelly had diagnosed/fixed the problem (a defective part) and went back over the work I did to make sure that everything else was tight. I'm a car guy and have been buying/selling/repairing them my entire life... there are few car repair shops out there that operate with the level of professionalism and honesty that you'll find at Driver's Edge. read more

I have given my car for service to fix the check engine light and oil leak problem. They have told me both issue got fixed. Before i have given to them i already checked the check engine light code in AutoZone to make sure the same code drivers edge is telling the same to me but they told two different code. Drivers edge cost me $800 to fix both issue. But once they deliver the car i not even driven 0.5 miles the card was stopped and smoke came. Again i went three days continuously to fix the issue to them but they told that it is a different check engine light code(one i got from AutoZone) the told it cost $300 to fix. But still the oil leak problem and check engine light issue exist in my car. I never recommend anybody to go Drivers Edge. My friend got different bad experience with them. read more

Was misled into thinking that spending over $1000 on air-con repairs would fix the problem only to be told they needed another $1000 when I returned it due to air-con gas leak. I will not recommend this company and warn all customers not to trust what they are being told. I have now wasted $1000 plus and no working air conditioner. read more

I brought my Explorer to get tuned up and to get it ready for a road trip to Toronto. Never have had a problem with my Explorer. $3000 later off I went ....within 2 hours a funny sound started and once I got to my destination took it in to be looked at. Dropped my car for battery light indicator and i was told to repair the Alternator and it was cost around $600 bucks and later still seeing the same indicator and went there again they charged me another ~$600 for replacing +ve cable to the battery and after a week i am still seeing the battery sign indicator, never ever go here they are not doing proper diagnosis. read more

Went to get a state inspection. They replaced my middle brake light without calling and letting me know. I return to pick up my truck and they end up charging me an extra $30. They said you can get pulled over for it now. Also, said they can remove the new one and fail my inspection if I don't pay for it. My original light worked fine. I was new to the area and needed a great place to get an oil change that I trusted. My first visit was great. They checked out my car thoroughly and noticed my cars serpentine belt was cracked. I had them replace that and the transmission fluid. Came back for my second oil change and again - great service! read more

This a is great shop. I've had several major repairs done to my car here and I know for a fact they did the job right and did it at a very fair price. I once brought my car in because I needed help replacing my rear view mirror. The technician and I worked on it together for about 30 minutes and when the work was done he didn't charge me a penny. Shame on those reviewers who complain about estimates that seem expensive, cars are not cheap to maintain. read more

Went here for an oil change and to see what the funny noise my car was making was. Everyone was very friendly and they got me in immediately. They found out that the noise was just a piece of plastic rubbing against my tire, and did not try to sell me another unnecessary repair. Plastic was taken care of and oil change was fast. This is the second time I've used their services. After getting an oil change a little cheaper than the surrounding mechanic shops + being open when I needed the change, I decided to recommend them to my girlfriend. Both of her vehicles needed work plus inspections done, and they were both taken care in two days time and it ended up being cheaper than we expected. With both of our positives experiences, I came back this past Monday to get my alternator and battery replaced. They worked with me and Autozone to get my battery replaced for free, and were able to use my extended warranty to replace my alternator for $100. They called me throughout the day to keep me updated and were very pleasant. I'll be going back again. read more

It's hard finding a good mechanic shop. These guys aren't good with scheduling but they do quality work without trying to sell you unneeded services. Prices are on the high end, but not outrageous. Took my wife's car in here to replace her brake pads. They wanted to sell me a bunch 2 new rotors (which is often a scam). I questioned the guy and he took me out in the shop and showed me where all the salt had rusted away the rotor badly since the car came from up north. Other times I've brought my car in, they've pointed out minor issues and usually advise that it's not worth repairing at the time whereas most shops usually jump on little things to nickle and dime you. Their prices aren't great, but they're not super high for an auto shop. As with anything, run to O'Reilly's and do it yourself if you want it cheaper. This store also let me bring my own parts in and just charge for labor. My only real complaint is their scheduling. They usually don't make the time commitments as they're usually pretty crowded. When I come here I usually just expect to drop it off in the morning and come back in the afternoon. If you're looking for a place to wait at I wouldn't come here. read more

I went in to get new brake pads. The very first thing the attendant said was that I might need new rotors (without even looking at the car!). And, sure enough, I got a call 30 minutes later saying they won't hang new pads without replacing the rotors, which were unnecessary. Such a scam! read more

I decided to try them as I have an older car and had never had service done there. I needed air conditioner work, which they did fine. When they called about pick up, they sold me on an oil change, which they did. A few days later on the toll way, I lost all oil pressure and had to stop. I had the car towed in to dealership, they said drain plug was gone, there was no indication threads had been stripped. When they asked if I had an oil change recently I told them I had one a few days earlier. Their conclusion was the plug had not been tightened properly, so it worked out over a few days of driving, and once that was out, all the oil drained out. Fortunately I stopped quickly enough so that there was no major damage to engine, but incurred costs for Uber to get home, tow truck to tow in the vehicle, and dealer charge to replace plug and check out engine. I went in to Driver's Edge to talk with them about this, and the main thing they wanted was to discuss when they did the work so they could pull the file and see who did the work. After that was figured out, they apologized and wrote on the back of a business card that I could have a free oil change, and continued to apologized profusely. They were willing to offer an oil change, which is what started this whole mess in the first place, but never considered reimbursing me for anything - not even the cost of buying a new plug. After spending over $1,000 for the repairs, including an oil change, they couldn't even pay for the drain plug that had to be replaced, let alone the cost of towing, or replacing the oil in the engine. I wish I had read the reviews before I went in there. Seems like there's another review written on 9/22 where they experienced the exact same thing. Stay away from this place. Making a mistake once, not good, but learn from it. Doing the same thing multiple times is a bad repair shop. read more

Ok 5 day update. I finally got a chance to return to this place to see if they would make things right... I spoke with Kelly the General Manager.. he was surprisingly apologetic and super sweet. He replaced the brake pads and rotors at no charge. He said it was an honest mistake. I feel much better about this place..not because I got it done for free but because he was honest and humble enough to recognize a mistake had been made and he make it right... I can work with a business who acknowledges a mistake and fixes it. read more

Do not take your car here! I went for an oil change and inspection sticker. After leaving my fan was running very high and began to overheat. The man behind the counter was so rude to me and told me it wasn't their fault. And it would take another 2 hours for them to diagnose the problem. Terrible business!! read more
