Single sunnyside-up egg with rye toast
Victoria L.

More home-y feeling than an IHOP, but similar types of offerings. Large list of omelet options, breakfast skillets, waffles, and eggs. Attentive service, friendly, and even during a busy Sunday morning, our food came out quickly. Large portions, crispy bacon and hashbrowns on request. Casual atmosphere, small booths and ones that can accommodate large parties

Biscuits and gravy, sausage and over easy egg

Excellent and quick service, about the best biscuits and gravy I've had locally- the gravy was a bit watery, but the biscuits were great, sausage patties were okay and egg was cooked perfectly. Haven't been here since they changed names, but I'm sure I'll be back. Oh, and I ALMOST dined and dashed!! New pay app, didn't complete transaction even though I heard a 'ding'. Cashier stopped me in the lot- MY BAD!

Chicken fried steak glorified breakfast

This is a nice little old school diner. No muss no fuss. We got the chicken fried steak and eggs and corned beef hash. You can tell this was previously frozen or out of a can, which was expected. Prices were fair for the portion sizes, except beverages were all like 5 bucks, for a coffee or a soda. Waitress was nice but wasn't around much and it was pretty empty. They offer dinner menu items but close at 2, thought that was a bit odd. Food tasted pretty good though for what it was.

This is the original Copper Skillet breakfast, excellent (name recently changed)

This place is a quasi-historic institution in Dublin, CA. The food and service are exceptional. It's says "restaurant" but it has a sweet 70s era diner vibe. Famous for their breakfast menu, but all the food is great.

My first time here. I was sort of craving chicken fried steak. I usually like to try the gravy first but I thought I would just go right in and get the steak itself. Not really very good. Taste like a Frozen steak you get at the 99 cent store. Kind of grizzly. Batter was okay. The steak itself was not very appetizing. I should have got the bacon and eggs. I ended up asking for two strips of bacon which were adequate but not as good as I expected. I don't know how you screw up bacon but I guess you can Potatoes were okay in fact they were actually pretty good so are the eggs the toast was nice. Coffee was good. Service and waitress was very friendly very professional. I just didn't care for the steak. Place seem pretty popular. The parking lot was crowded. It must be regulars there a lot. Prices were all right as far as everything else is concerned. Almost $30 for breakfast. But that's typical now isn't it.

For breakfast, I tend to get a fairly heavy meal which usually country fried steak with plenty of gravy. Seeing the menu that includes country steak and waffle, I get savory and sweet. So that a compelling dish to try. Literally, I had no idea, it was simply, two separate dishes that came as is. One place with the country fried steak and another with a large waffle with butter and syrup. No more, no less. They looked lonely on the two plates. The country fried steak tasted as it should. Whereas the waffle was perfectly formed but lacked the crunchy crispness of a waffle. It was on the soft side. I liked the combination but overall felt it lacked the presentation and the waffle needed the crunch although the butter and syrup would eventually soften it. I would try a different breakfast dish next time or stick with the usual country fried steak with eggs and hash browns. Service was good.

My favorite go to breakfast spot in Dublin. I usually get chicken fried steak when I don't know what to get, but this time I got something a lil different. Everything was delish.

Overall a solid 4.5 out of 5, rounded up to 5. Slight knock on the seating accommodations due to my mom being in a wheelchair. Was able to seat my mom and her wheelchair in one of the booths, but it was alittle awkward getting in to seat myself afterwards. The waitress was very friendly and polite and soft spoken. The menu has an about the same general feel and look versus its copper skillet days, the one things that I didn't see at least for this first visit was the breakfast burrito. The prices are surprisingly decent and within range of today's prices when compared to other similar places or offers. I dare say that they might have a bigger proportion when compared to its price point versus other restaurants. For me, I order the gold special since they did have sugar free syrup and I was in the mood for some pancakes. The pancakes were very bountiful and by the time I was hitting the fourth pancakes, I was actually getting sort of full. By the 6th I was done and my craving for pancakes was fulfilled. The eggs were cooked to order and the bacon was crispy enough. For my mom, I ordered her the biscuit and gravy, the biscuits were decent size, black bear has a much bigger version, but the gravy was spot on. And their sausage patty was very good and flavorful. Anyways, look forward to stopping by every so often to try their other offerings.

Awesome server and fast service! Friendly staff. Chicken fried steak was bland, everything was great breakfast! Pineapple Mimosa was huge and delicious, so refreshing! The chili cheese fries were made from freshly cut potatoes, you don't find those too often. Lots of menu items, we will visit again. Breakfast ALLLLLL DAY! Can't go wrong with that!

Omelette

My son took me to this restaurant Sunday morning for our first time. Not being from Dublin decided to try it out for breakfast. We were the 7th customer since opening that Sunday morning and by the time we finished the place had very few vacant tables. He ordered an omelet, rye bread and a side of pork sausage; I ordered the eggs benedict with coffee. While waiting for our food I took a sip of the coffee and told my son if the food is like their coffee, it is going to be good. I am accused of being a bit of a coffee snob and nothing turns me off than a poor cup of coffee. The coffee was dark and delicious. Then our food arrived, hot and delicious. The portions were large, enough for two meals, and the food did not disappoint!! Not only was the restaurant clean, but the staff very courteous and attentive checking on not only us, but the other customers as well. AND they kept my coffee flowing!! When you find a gem like Dublin Skillet you want to acknowledge it. Keep the food good, the great staff and that coffee, we will definitely return when in Dublin.

Great food location only problem is their hours. They don't stay open later at night. I'd love the service.

Ask the Community - Dublin Skillet Restaurant

Is the skillet open? I went yesterday and they where closed.

It's open! At least two weeks ago when we went

I have tried to go twice in the evenings over the past week or so but the restaurant was closed (no signs). Is the Copper Skillet still in business?

Yes, they are still open! They changed their hours starting in October. They now only do dinners on Fri. $ Sat. nights. Breakfast and lunch are the same.

The hash browns were undercooked (underneath the top crispy part) and the oil the food was cooked in, tasted stale. The portion size was definitely on the bigger end and the omelet was stuffed with veggies. Would come back on an off peak day to try a few of their lunch options!

I've had it bookmarked since Christmas time of last year. We came here for lunch on a Saturday couple of weeks ago. Ordering was easy on the kiosk. There were several tables there already enjoying their food. We nabbed the table in front of the mural and waited for our food. I think about 8-10 minutes passed til our food was ready. I noticed that they had a cute robot to deliver some of the orders, but ours were just brought out at the counter by one of the staff members. We got the Bulgogi Egg Toast Sandwich, Spam Egg + Avocado Toast Sandwich, two tater tots, and two Dalgona Coffees. Both sandwiches were flavorful, soft, a little crunchy from the perfect toasting, and just YUMMY! The tater tots were crunchy and yum too. The Dalgona Coffee was delicious as well. I thought there would be dalgona crunchy bits, but no. That would have make it even better if it had. The staff seem friendly. The place was cute, colorful, and clean.
