We stopped here to eat on our way to a winery in Madera. Didn't want to drink on an empty stomach. Not knowing the area, I was side eyeing it at first. A few blocks away everything seems to be getting remodeled. Like they were getting a whole new town. They had not yet reached this block. I'm not sure if that is a god or bad thing. It's an old diner. The lady sitting in the booth behind us seemed like a regular. We ordered our food and it was super fresh and quite delicious. An older gentleman seated us but I'm guessing it was either his daughter or possibly a granddaughter that took our order. She was sweet as pie. Our food was just what we needed for the wine tasting to come. I would go back if I lived there.

It's December 28, 2025. I'm in Stockton for a family event and I came here for breakfast. My first visit. This is relaxed dining. And it is superb. The menu has many nice choices and I went with steak and eggs for breakfast. The steak was cooked just right and was tender, the eggs were scrambled and were done nicely. I absolutely loved the grilled potatoes, and the sourdough toast was a nice touch also. Prices are excellent. I love places like this. Great food at great prices in a relaxed atmosphere. Be sure to take a look at the shelf of ceramic ducks behind the cash register.

hot damn, that was a good breakfast!

Quintessential diner brilliance. Oh man, this checked all the boxes. crispy hash browns, diner mug, crisp bacon, funky bread that's kind of warped and lathered sporadically with butter, ca couple little plastic tubs of jam, and the requisite little glass salt and pepper shakers that no doubt are pre WWII. Great classic diner breakfast, kind service, clean restroom, quiet and sweet. New favorite, and staple for when I'm working in Stockton.

    Bad food

Food was absolutely terrible. Bacon burnt, hash browns wet and runny, not crispy. Eggs bland. Waitress was very rude. She overcharged us and became very annoyed when it was brought up.

    Full excellent.

Best French toast I've had out. Friend had the Denver omelet. Best she's had. Fresh without being over cooked. Chicken fried steak was good and the gravy was the bomb. Service was great. 4 stars only because where it's located. Park in the back.

ABC scramble. Eggs weren't properly scrambled and were over cooked. Crispy hash browns.

The freshness of their house made pesto pasta is top notch it just melts in your mouth with each bite. Ribs had a very nice smoky taste not too sweet, not too salty just right on seasoning and the bark was fabulous these ribs were cooked perfect, nice & tender but the meat didn't rip off the bone in one piece as if they'd been overcooked so great job on the ribs guys. Full size meals here guys so you know. Laura and I split a rib meal so we each got 4 ribs apiece, pesto pasta for both of us on our own plates since they even let you split meals for $5 extra. We'll worth plate split, each of us had ribs, pasta, bread and side. She got salad I got fresh minestrone soup too. Desert had their special spumoni ice cream to split among us. Highly recommend this place fantastic food great service and fun time capsule decor. Cheers!

Welcome to Garlic Brothers - my favorite garlic restaurant in Stockton. I would say my favorite…read moreItalian restaurant - but at Garlic Bro's, it really is all about the garlic. And I love it! Garlic Bro's is a not so hidden local favorite that has become much more popular through the years. It sits right on the Delta for a perfect water-front view for outside dining and those lucky enough to get the huge bay window seating on the inside. I can order a full meal just on the appetizers alone. Ive tried them all. The fried raviolis and the grilled duck wraps (in bacon) are among my favorites. Garlic Bro's has a unique selection of oven baked pizza's but when I come to Garlic Bro's, it's all about the entree's for me. My all-time favorite is the grilled garlic steak. It is the best rib eye steak in Stockton. I order mine blackened (crispy outside) with the brown mushroom gravy that comes in a side dish. For sides, I order the garlic mashed potatoes. They taste creamy good by itself but remember the mushroom brown gravy I ordered for the steak? It's really for my garlic mashed potato's. A perfect combo. Consider this a Pro Tip. My other side is the green death pasta. You have to request it (another Pro Tip). I've tried pesto pasta everywhere and it's only this delicious at Garlic Bro's. The honorable mention is the grilled pork steak. The best pork steak in Stockton. The grilled lamb chops are good - just not as great as the other two entrees....but I'm a very tough critic when it comes to lamb chops. One thing to know at Garlic Bro's is they don't water down the mixed drinks. You definitely get what you pay for. And the price tag is actually pretty reasonable. Garlic Bro's can get very busy so come early for good seats and parking - because they don't take reservations.

They have plenty of seating for small to large parties and even have seats up at the bar. It's got a small town cafe feel to it and I love it. I usually get the BLT sandwich with a side of fruit an an iced tea. Their BLT has to be my favorite because they load it up with bacon! I can't stand when you get a BLT and it lacks bacon, that surely is not the case here. My best friend loves to get their over medium eggs; the yolks are flawless, hash brown with cheese and toast. My other friend is a huge fan of their banana nut bread, it's a delectable breakfast item that feels more like a dessert and is dangerously addictive. I can't say enough positive things about this establishment, I will for sure be back again and again when in the area. There are plenty of other options. Please give them a visit and let them know what you think!

Five stars for the food, minus a star for the service…read more.. I was down in Stockton and I had heard about this place so I decided to come in for a late breakfast. The place isn't fancy, it's just a simple "coffee shop vibe." I'm seated right away and they bring me my menu. It's a decent size menu, but as the name says, they have a lot of omelettes, broken down by protein. They have a decent number of bacon omelettes, sausage, omelettes, chicken, omelettes, vegetarian, omelettes, etc..... I decided to have the steak, Philly omelette. Angus steak, mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, and swiss cheese. I chose fruit instead of potatoes, and for bread, you can have toast, pancakes, waffle, French toast, or biscuits and gravy. I chose the French toast. The food comes, and there was a lot of it. They are four egg omelettes. It was humongous. The eggs were good. And while the steak tasted very good, I thought it was a little bit on the tough side. I didn't mind it too much, I didn't expect to get filet mignon. The veggies were tender. I normally don't like bell pepper, but hey, it's a Philly cheesesteak omelette. I'm glad that they didn't overdo the bell pepper. The cheese was also creamy and delicious. Everything played very well together. The French toast was extremely good. It was battered just right. It tasted like a good French toast should. The fruit was fresh. There was so much food, half of the omelette came home with me. For the quantity and quality of food, the price was reasonable. I'm taking a star off, because of the service. It was 11 AM on a Wednesday, and the place was less than half full. When they bring me my coffee, they didn't ask me if I wanted creamer, and I didn't notice that there was none on the table. I had to ask a second time for creamer. When she brought me my omelette, I asked her if she had Cholula hot sauce. She said, yes. I will bring it to you. She never did. I had to ask a separate server for the sauce. Finally, my coffee cup was empty, and I had to ask twice for a coffee refill. It was inconvenient. I know they are extremely busy on the weekends, I wonder what the service is like during the busy times... Other than the service, the meal was fantastic. I will give them another shot and come back, but if the service is the same again, that's going to be it. Thank you for a good meal.
